  1. YES! I want a 7-speed manual, pillarless hardtop, Solid rear axle 5th gen. Camaro powered by a Duramax-Diesel twin-turbo V16 That way I can get almost 13mpg in the coolest car of the 21st century.
  2. The 572 is the latest evolution of the SUPER-big-block GM crate motor. It's basically a 454 on steriods!
  3. While I STRONGLY prefer a V8 over a V6 at this point in my life I'd rather take a V6 powered Hardtop over a V8 powered post... so long as the V6/HT car is still a manual trans.
  4. The Chronos is the Chrysler equivelant of the Cadillac SIXTEEN... It's about a MILLION times cooler than the 300C, nevermind the lame a$$ed monkey-$h!-brown Imperial. Imperial --- is to --- Chronos as Catera --- is to --- CTS-V
  5. Paris Hilton
  6. I'd rather push my 77 Caddy uphill to work BOTH ways than drive a free Echo. The Echo makes the Tercel it replaced like a 3-series BMW.
  7. Fly said it all... althought suicide doors are cool and there's NOTHING boring or bland about the 1962 Imperial! I've sent Fly three PMs over the past two months asking if it was too late to order one of each of the calendars and NOTHING....
  8. I agree... to my generation pentestar = K-cars.
  9. Bowtie_dude: Not sure what your problem is but you're just instigating. The vast majority of the buying public are nufcking idiots, why else would the Camry be the best selling car in the USA? You want generic, watered down cars? Fantastic, I am more picky and dream of a 2010 car that has at least 50% of the style and originality of a 1959 ANYTHING. If classic cars sucked as badly as you think they do then people would not pay millions for some used car with a big V8 at Barrett Jackson. I think there is a LOT we can learn about making cars that do not SUCK from the classics. If you disagree and want to have a knife fight about it then I'm sorry but you will have to find someone else. Discussion is fun, hostility is not. Okay then, enjoy your 2dr and 4dr sedans, rubbermaid© engine covers, faux deer-skin arm rest cover & last but not least FWD layout that forces you to get raped at a dealership every time you need $5 plastic component because to do it yourself would be like trying to work on the space shuttle with a plumber's wrench.
  10. I saw it in person and I assure you this car makes a mockery of Imperial name. This is almost as bad (close 2nd) as those $hitty Dodge Dynasty/Chrysler New Yorker based midsize FWD Imperials of the early 1990s with the bread & butter baby V6s.
  11. WTF does ths have to do with B-pillars? I think ALL neing covers... or at least 99% of the ones I've seen look like ass. I also think that people on this forum make WAY too big of a deal over interior plastic texture & such other silly crap. Now as far as B-pillars they're visible from 1/4 mile away and they effect the styling of the car, esp. from profile. Balthazar: Didn't you get the memo? Maserati has been a joke since the late 1970s.
  12. Yeah.... it's ridiculous how many SUVs Toyota/Lexus has. Just wait till gas drops down to $2.50 /gallon, we'll see a 7 vehicle lineup of Scions, four of them being Crossovers.
  13. That was some funny stuff.... What a fu%&ing imbecil. I think Abortion IS wrong but to find a link between abortion proponents & Sept. 11th just shows he was MORE of a radical religious nut than some terrorists. That one made me laugh even more than the one about the separation between church & state. Can you imagine him saying this to a butch lesbian like the one in the meat factory at the begining of Boondock Saints...? Clearly he was a few fries short of a Happy Meal.
  14. V6 suck in general compared to Inline-Sixes... BUT if you're going to have a V6 it does make more sense to have it be 60* versus 90* it's just smoother & causes less NVH.
  15. Wow... cool, Thanks! I talked to the guy for a good 10 minutes, he's got a lot of cars for sale, interestingly enough the red/red-white/white Sedan deVille is something I am interested in, however price being a factor I think this is the one I might be more serious about: http://derbygear.com/adDetail.asp?cat_id=2...amp;ad_id=10501 XP might be looking to buy a certain 500cu.in. powered car soon and I just might buy this one to piss him off. We've got a friendly game of "CU.IN. Wars" going right now, so far he's got me beat big time with his 460/429 powered cars but I've got him beat in model years... my 1959 being a good seven years older than his 1967. If he smites me by dropping in a 572 into some car of his I just might have to pull out all the stops and sell off everything except the 1959 and buy a pre-war car for a daily driver!
  16. Interesting that this thread popped up today. About a half hour ago I was having a conversation about how I will NEVER give up on driving my B-59 and other such classics... even if I have to retrofit a Duramax Diesel in it OR convert it to run on Hydrogen or Propane. My uncle back in Slovakia (who is a doctor) converted his POS Russian Lada to run on Propane. He had a GIANT 100 gallon tank in the backseat that lasted like 3 months.
  17. I bet that ugly hump on the rear is hiding an Infiniti FX style roofline.
  18. Agreed, the Pentastar should be the equivelant of the GM logo... stamp it on the valvecovers & put it on the fuse panel cover and what not but keep the winged logo for Chrysler cars. That logo has NOTING to do with Mercedes benz BTW, it is a highly RETRO logo, it was resurected around the time of the Plymouth demise.
  19. PCS: While the sink is a bit odd I'm loving your Avatar!
  20. I think I'll pan on this even next year.... unless someone in the mid-west is digging up a timecapsule with a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham with 15 miles on the odometer that got burried when new. Aside from some other roadtrip like that I do not forsee much stopping me.
  21. There's nothing wrong with that, it IS a free country but you're right most of these jackasses are inept at life in thier hypocracy & lack of focus. Panara is AWSOME, closest thing to REAL bread this side of the Atlantic ocean, American "white" bread is gross. Starbucks on the other hand is pretentious & lame. Now as far as the Aveo it's just some $h!ty econobox but it IS still a million times more car than the Prius. The real disgusting thing about the Prius is how it is adertized as earth day on wheels but the truth is uglier than the greasy sludge clogging up my neighbor's Lexus' RX motor.
