  1. Oh my god look at that huge hump they put in the rear to accomodate the driveshaft... this thing will never sell. [/camry_owner] Holy Cow, I love it! Where do I sign? [/rational_human_being]
  2. Which way does the toilet water spin up there in Canada?

    VW Tiguan!

These retarded names have to stop. Tuareg, Phaeton, Tigwat or whatever... Seriously they sound more lame than some retarded Japanese market only toy. That's waht they should name this "car with truck tires": "Happy Time Sunshine Big Toy Forest Hopper"
  4. Holy *&%$# cow man... that's quite a ride. I prefer the T-top version of the 68/69 Corvettes but on the open market the ragtop's worth a lot more money. This is kind of a dream of mine, I want to buy a car in boxes at some point, makes for a very affordable way to get into the classic car hobby. $hit I'd take a 1959 Plymouth Suburban if it was dirt cheap and in boxes nevermind a Corvette. That's like one in a million! It's a stick to boot and to really make it more unbeleivable it's a BIG BLOCK car? Holy fu$&. Good for you... can't wait to see it.
  5. Sound familiar? *cogh-COUGH evok CoUGh!*
  6. Well the styling sux since it looks like a Kit Car circa 1997 but hell the performance is pretty damn awsome. I'll take one for $50,000. Oh wait, half a million? Yeah... how about that.
  7. I like the Led Zep ads but they went on too long, as far as 50-cent or Jay-Z... please NO dear god. I think that if they were to still use music themed commercials it should be someone more universal like Aerosmith, AC~DC or Lenny Kravits. Those are lame too at this point but they don't offend like Fiddy-Cent might.
  8. No of course not... that would only make too much sense. You know how GM hates logic. Tease us AGAIN with RWD & then produce a FWD car while lauging like an evil nerd.
  9. I have a feeling Fly made this: http://www.neatorama.com/images/2006-03/ai...arrier-lego.jpg
  10. I don't mess around with best offer, I do buy now in a standard aucton and that's all you need so long as your price is within reason.
  11. Truth really is stranger than fiction, you can't make up stuff like this, somehow it happens but who sees it coming...?
  12. Yes, those ads were a bit desperate. Awsome and so very true!
  13. Google or AltaVista. those are the IMG searches I do 95% of the time.
  14. Toyota is the solution to all of your problems, automotive or otherwise. [end_of_communist_approved_brain_wash_message]
  15. Balthazar got it. 1917 Oldsmobile-Rolotex Mars Rover Hybrid 16x16 with a rotary 3-cylinder motor & 8 electric motors at the rear. Also known as the XP666 by GM fans.
  16. I'll reveal the answer tomorrow if no one gets it. Hopefully MM can shed some ligt on this one as the details about it are almost nonexistant online.
  17. There's a few things that PISSED me off about this when I heard the list on the radio today. Where's the list of the 1o worst JAPANESE cars?! The Sprinter is NOT American... it's freekin' Mercedes for christ's sake!!!
  18. Yes I knew the Monte Carlo concept was RWD... a few of the magazines gave us false hope because of that. It's not the Buick 231 that I have a problem with as much as the FWD that ended up showing up in the production version.
  19. Yeah, that has been the VW GTi's claim to fame for a while now. It's amazing how many "magic tricks" FWD cars will do to try to win us euthusiasts over. I love the Cobalt and all but lifting the rear wheel just proves how pointless FWD is, taking advantage of 75% of the traction available when trying to get maximum cornering force is as backwards as doing burnouts to save fuel.
  20. You beat me to it Xp... I own a DVD of the originla G.I.60sec. I think Vanishing Point is a great movie but DUEL is cooler. Anyone ever notice how the gas station attendant spills about 2 gallons over the rear quarter panel & rear window of thatr Valiant before he tells him he needs a radiator hose? "Where have I heard that before?!" As far as 1970s goes the cheesiest car mivie ever was DEATH RACE 2000, although a decade later Dice would surpass the cheesy factor with FORD FAIRLANE. That was complete waste of human effort... I own it but only to make fun of it when I'm not sober. Hey, what movie is it where the kid drives his brother's stolen 1958? DeSoto FireSweep ragtop? That car was HOT & the chick he's trying to impress is not bad either.
  21. Ford, VW & Honda are all WAY less appealing to me than Nissan/Renault.
  22. Seems like every thread as of late ends up like this. The first time I ever saw these "balls" was in a photo online of a yellow 1971 Barracuda.
  23. That is pretty amazing but I think it's more like 1.3 meters... or 4 feet.
  24. Great link. I love vintage photography. Love the "Switzerland Racing" Suburban. I barelly knew the meat & potatos of the Lola story but their cars were often more beautiful than Ferraris' or Jaguars'. Now as far as this exotic thing, in trashing the price of the blue-flame powered Vette just remember GM is best at one thing: Making the every day mortal feel like he's not driving a $hitbox. That's their greatest acomplishment really... great cars for the masses at decent prices. Once in a while they build some "exotic" stuff... 1930s: V16 Caddys 1950s: Eldorado Brougham 1960s: ZL1 cars 1990s: ZR1 Vettes You get the point. At any rate I'd MUCH ratehr see them concentrate on building a $26,000 base V8 Camaro that's super-close to the 06 Concept than making some pie in the sky V12 powered supercar... thay're a dime a dozen (in terms of numbers) The only exotic GM raelly MUST build is the SIXTEEN. This car needs to show the world that GM is serious about sticking around for many years to come. Decka: I can't even look at a Saleen S7 emblem without thinking how baddly the car ripped off the lines, doors, rear, front, design language & so much more cosmetically off the McLaren F1. Plus for half a million $$$ there's no excise for all the Mustang bits on the car, like interiro trim, door handles & other cosmetic stuff. To me the S7 has always looked like a retarded fat cousin of the F1.... with 78 extra gills. To each his own.
  25. The car is GM but it's not an Opel. Like I said in the original post, there's a mention of it in a book I have on Automotive History & other such stuff. The book was published in G.B. but it shows a sketch of the car in question wiht a license plate that reads: HYBRID XP _ _ _
