These threads always piss me off and or depress me, weather they're 99% B.S. or 01% B.S., Some people thrive on negativity & pessimism I guess.

You know that saying "they don't make them like they used to"? Well some of us like a solid rear axle, it's more durable, less expensive to maintain & a lot easier to work on. My Infiniti & Maxima both are RWD with IRS and the quality of my life is not somehow drastically improved just because the rear wheels are independently sprung. Sure IRS is superior in terms of handling but it adds unnecessary cost, weight and complexity. Evok: You just seem to be hell bent on proving anything without a shiny orange "new & improved" sticker to be old, lame & obsolete. Someday you may find yourself on the ugly side of progress. I'm not all for progress just for the sake of change, I'd rather have choices. I6, V6 & V8. RWD & Rear-biased AWD 4dr sedan, 2dr sedan, & 2 dr hardtop. Now as far as the Camaro give me a solid rear axle and the choice to pay for IRS if I find it to be worthwhile.

What do these two cars have in common. In other words, find the missing link.

Wow BV: you get "bored" with cars quicker than I do! I agree wiht Fly, keep your Mazda, je$us last thing you need is to spend MORE money on an older car with more jimmy-rigged sh1t on it and have to pay to re-register your plates & all that other insurance B.S. P.S. use protection, every effin' time, no exceptions!

The crazy part is, you know how they say a lot of stereotypes are at least partially true... yes many of us Slovakians are drunks & a high percentage of nerds wear goofy glasses, well anyone who's ever driven on Maine roads can tell you that you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Subaru wagon of some sort (greed & burgundy Outbacks are the most common) with two granola bar eating Lesbians in it & a bike rack on the rear tailgate or roof. This is SOOOOO true. Not that I mind Lesbians but I just wish they were more like the ones in my "special" DVD collection & less like the flanel shirt wearing mullett heads that you see in these Subaru Outbacks/Foresters. YES! NO! Whenever you have a whole city full of streets based on no logic at all except for some weird system of where Paul Revere urinated on a tree stump back in 1769 or some other more arbitrary system of order based on a 17th century pub, 18th century Jezebel & whatever landfill/garbage dump was filled in at Boston Harbor in 1904 you're not in for an easy navigation. All joking aside Boston & Mass are gorgeous as confusing as certain parts of Boston may be. Our beautiful country's rich heretige & colorful history all began in Boston. Every American should make the trip out to Boston, MA at least once in his/her life.

Okay here's another one of my crazy convoluted trivia questions. The car I'm thinking of has the following features. 1. it's a two door but not a coupe 2. there's a fixed B-pillar of sorts but not in the traditional sense 3. the rear windows roll down just like in a hardtop 4. To a casual observer it looks as if this car has 6 headlights 5. the manufacturer that made it is no longer around So who'll be the first to guess it?

Welcome to the Forum Heartless, always nice to have another Camaro/RWD/Muscle Car/V8 fan here, although the cool thing about C&G is how eclectic the members are. I just sold my "Sixty8Panther" 1968 Camaro on ebay and acquired a 1964 Oldsmobile Super 88 since a drag car with $hitty brakes is not the best car to take my 2.5 year old daughter to car shows, ice cream & what not. Just thought I'd include that in the welcome since you seem to be a pretty serious Camaro guy what with your 35th Ann. SS ragtop & all.. unless you're a first time poster & long time lurker and you already know that.

Variance: I agree, but then again consider it cost the General more money to shut down Olds then it would have to just keep the brand alive. NOTHING makes sense about how Olds got euthanized. I've criticized the early 2000s Olds lineup just like the next guy but I'd still rather have a lineup of FWD Acura wannabe Oldsmobiles than NO Olds what so ever. As long as the brand was alive a ZETA, SIGMA & other more traditional cars would have been inevidable. Hell if you're going to have several FWD cars then at least make a modern Toronado, FWD but with a longitudinaly mounted pushrod V8 & true full size proportions inside & out.
