Then it's RWD & Rear-biased-AWD only for Pontiac... I hope.
-
Hey, it's all good... it's always fun to discus 1950s cars... production or not.
-
Listed it yet?

If there weren't rust bubbles all over the rear quarters & holes in the rear wheel well lips I'd say it was ALL the money for this car... it's nice but it's not mint or anything. Then again I'm a picky bastard since I bought a solid Fleetwood Broughams for $650 and XP scored a 1979 red-on-white-on-white Coupe DeVille for $300. So a 1989 Caprice Classic for $6000 better still have plastic on the seats & less than 20,000 miles on the odometer.

I have never had a Mullet + 1st gen Camaro = no B-pillar which = great visibility!

A guy in Lowell MA has a clean low milage 1989 9C1 in burgundy, the car has low miles and a few performance add-ons but it's got a lot of rot around the rear wheelwells. He wants like $6000 for it but if he had been realistic and asked like $2300 I would have bought it. We worked togeather at Chevrolet of Lowell, he was actaully one of the best mechanics there if not THE best. At one point in the early 90s he got a job offer from Callaway in Conn.

Insurance rates really were sickening for the 4th gen. F-body. Still are probably... not sure why they're so much more than the Mustang... I know fatality rates were pretty bad because of all the morons who drove their SSes & WS6es inot trees & guardrails at 155 mph. ------------ ~ Silvester AKA Chapman The greatest automobile ever conceived by man: two shifters, FWD & small enough to be driven into the back of a matching red Plymouth TrailDuster.

No problem buddy.. Razorbacks are the shizznit. So XP needs to get me a few good photos of the 71 CDV and I'm wondering if Decka wants a new Alero TW sig.? -------- ~ Silvester AKA Chapman The greatest automobile ever conceived by man: two shifters, FWD & small enough to be driven into the back of a matching red Plymouth TrailDuster.

A lot more people would if the Andrea Dora had not ended up at the bottom of the Atlantic. The only car to my knowledge that lacks not only a B-pillar but has no A pillar either. The irony is that I had a trivia queation planned for the Norseman.

Hmmm.... sounds interesting, I told my G/F to play CON TE PARTIRO at my funeral if she's around and I'm not, but it's gotta be that version, with Sarah Brightman.

I like a lot of them for the sheer fun of RWD + ultra lightweight chassis. Datsun 510, 200sx hardtop, 1970s Toyota Celica, Toyota Celica Supra. Mazda RX7, RX3... and so many of the old school cars that we never got here in the USA. Like some very cool I6 powered Hardtops of the 70s including the Skyline. ----------- ~ Silvester AKA Chapman The greatest automobile ever conceived by man: two shifters, FWD & small enough to be driven into the back of a matching red Plymouth TrailDuster.

Damn Supra Ad still will not play for me... the sound does but I get that "ambiance" graphic BS on Win Media Player.

Sweet, in my old Fleetwood Brougham at about 105 mph the needle dissapeared from sight altogeather, it would be hidden behind the base fo the speedometer as it got near parallel to the dash. (sideways) -------- If BV was enviromentaly friendly he'd drive THIS: http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=0cbc...e67667cc.534908

I have a photo of that .50 caliber bullet shaped thing in one of my books in straight on profile, it looks longer than any Electra 225 I've ever seen, it honestly looks like it's 250 or at least 240 inches long, maybe it's the low greenhouse and monsterous hood. This shot does make it look a lot more closer to 214, but still take away that dude and it looks like it has the wheelbase of a V16 Cadillac Dual Cowl. Anyway it's the 1954 DeSoto Adventurer II bodied by Ghia. The tilt out windows, four mini tail fins, wire wheels & very cool tail lights also make this show car a one of a kind. http://www.atspeedimages.com/pebble_2004/p..._adventurer_II/

Great photos! Between the 2003 SS conceopt & the SIXTEEN I hope that one of those 4dr hardtops makes it to production with B-pillar delete.

I'm very leary of that.... I'd rather buy a case of Absolut Vodka & run a half a tank of that stuff, burns hot like a motherf$#@&!

Wow... I was not even going to post this but your story inspired it: http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...?showtopic=9791 Sad and tragic for sure.

So XP came along with me on a recent roadtrip for business. There's a long story behind this but basically the pic speaks for itself. I was doing about 110 when we passed a cleverly hidden State Trooper. (not really but I was staring at my speedo not the median) For reasons which I care not discuss I got my car towed & impounded for about 20 minutes... after the whole ordeal was over (no serious trouble, mostly a waste of time) XP looks over at a crunched 18-wheeler in the impound lot... he casually says: "Wow, that $hit jack-knifed huh?" to which the flatbed driver responds: Yeah... that truck killed a 12 year old girl yesterday. The poor child was decapitated. The truck was cut off by some moron who ran a stop sign and the driver of the truck who was determined to be drunk, lost control of the 18-wheeler and sliced off the roof off an SUV and the rest you can probably fill in the blanks. That conversation was followed by awkward silence, I felt sick to my stomach thinking someday my daughter might be riding in an SUV and drunk/stupid drivers seem to be pretty abundant. Suddenly I think to myself what if my speeding tonight had caused an accident like that?... it's unlikely since it was at 12:30am and the road was pretty empty but still, I felt like a prick for getting but a slap on the wrist for the speeding.

Some suggestions, all used: -Mini Cooper (I'd never buy a non-S but hey, economy is one of your criteria) -PT cruiser 5-speed -Mazda 3 sedan... 5-speed of course -Grand Am (ecotec?) you can even get the ecotec with a 5-speed

Okay I feel like a prick, while the Ghia you posted is an excellent guess  it's wheelbase/O.L. is too short BUT at the same time the Silverado cc/lb was meant to be exageration for effect. Camino is very close and I think this last clue might do it: (don't bother right clicking)

This car was featured in one of the Hot Rodding magazines... it was powered by some semi-exotic smallblock IIRC.
-
The new grill looks awsoem, it would be even better if it was the chrome one, but I'm assuming the sport comes only in body color, right?
-
Almost forgot: make mine a hardtop... if the production version is a 2dr sedan I'll be buying a Challenger or whatever hardtop is offered, GTO maybe...

Dude, don't talk like that. Most of us have been there and it sux but no woman is worth offing yourself. Damn, that's bound to be some crazy cool thing/event/car/chick this summer that will make you forget this broad ever existed.
