  1. For the right price a Final 500 Silhouette could be a good investment.
  2. Same could be said for the rest of the Oldsmobile Final 500: Alero: Grand Am Aurora: Lucerne Bravada: Rainer Comparing the Intrigue to a Grand Prix would be a stretch I suppose, shortstar is dead anyway.
  3. Hot Rod Lincoln is a great tune... BTW Balthy: I downloaded "Dragster - Johnny Fortune" and it's a great tune... I've heard of this song before but never knew it was acoustic. Very good tune. The other 2, "Hot Rod Man" and "Black & White Thunderbird" did not produce any dowloadable hits on Limewire. Some others: 1. Rob Zombie: Dragula 2. Marlyn Manson: Beautiful People 3. Southern Culture on the Skids: The Corn Rocket (Super Troopers Soundtrack) 4. Boston: Amanda 5. Cold Play: Clocks 6. Sarah Mclaughlin: Sweet Surender 7. Creedence Clearwater Revival: Proud Mary 8. Dead Milkmen: Bitchin' Camaro 9. Tom Cochran: Life Is A Highway 10. Filter: Take My Picture 11. Cars: Drive 12. G&R: Nov. Rain 13. Ramones: Go Lil' Camaro Go!
  4. I got my ass kicked in the Infiniti the other day when a late 90s (water cooled) 911 came up on me weaving through traffic & snaked around me and into the fast lane... I floored it to see if I could keep up with him for a sec. but it was NOT happening. The second he got next to me I heard a downshift and he was go---------ne in a blur of tail lights. I just put the cruise on to 79 again and told myself I'd blow his 911s doors off at the track someday when I shoehorn a LS2/6-speed into the Q45. That's IF I can't afford a twin turbo LS7.
  5. You guys need to re-read it... the plane is NOT moving relative to the air or ground. Only relative to the treadmill & therefore air speed is 0.0000 mph.
  6. No... not even a fat chance. exactly & the air under the wing is not moving... This is like putting a Lamborghini Countach on free-moving rollers and strapping it down, then accelerating to 200mph. The car still aint going anywhere! "Wheah you goin'? That's right NO-wheah!" [boondocksaints]
  7. Retro designs are not going anywhere, they'rer just getting better and better. The New Beetle & T-Bird were not all that great, the PT Cruiser & '05 Mustang were a lot better & the Camaro concept is downright awsome. THe Challenger is not bad and the new 911 is kind of a throwback to previous models as well as the C6.
  8. My personal top 3 favorite: At first I thought: "Do I love this one or hate it?" But even though it's a half assed, redneck vicky/hearse/paddy waggon wannabe... you gotta love a rat rod this cool. no paint, no glass, but it has a mopar 383 w/ ram induction, pro-steet stance with a cow catcher grille and a scary 'stored in a swamp' patina like Balthazar's pre-war Ford COE. You ever see that guy again you tell him I'll trade him a '97 Q45 & a '84 Datsun for that rat rod! Both that two-tone Hudson & '36 Pontiac (?) are absolutely mouth watering. Those are two cars that wear 4" whitewalls perfectly. Besides the 1963 Split Window coupe my absolute favorite Corvette of all time is a 1968-69 coupe. I know that the 1968 (which this is) had a lot of quality control probelms & the fiberglass cracked in certain places but they're still awsome!
  9. Z's got a great idea! The quickest way to have BV slow down is for him to take a class from a driving school like Bondurant, there's also Skip Barber and several others. The instructors teach you so many things, not just how to drive but how to look at the road, sit in your seat properly (not gheto like) and how to make yourself feel comfortable first before you even put the car in first gear.
  10. I'll post photos later but ask XP how ugly the kitchen is in the rental house we have... black countertops are NOT a good idea.
  11. Awsome! Eh, there's always music, movies, video games & other things to talk about, & even politics does not make me as hot headed as cars... besides, you have a baby coming so I would take that into consideration, all XP has to live for is his white diamond Riviera, Serial Killer Cutlass & a 1971 Coupe deVille plus he's addicted to speed too so it was pedal to the metal. For what it's worth the Q45 has a legit inspection sticker and the tires, suspension & other critical components were all in good shape.
  12. Dude... that sounds like a GREAT time!!! Where can I get moonshine that potent? Seriously?
  13. That's what I'm saying... the speeding alone should have been like $350 or $400, nevermind the other B.S.
  14. I'm not sober right now, so that just blew my freeeekin mind.
  15. When he showed me the radar gun readout at 99MPH a part of me subconsciously thought "damn.... so close to tripple digits and I pu$$ied out." He said my reaction time was quick and that I was deep in the 3 digits, I think I was probably at like 110 before I stood on the brakes & slowed her down. Usually I'm very good at spotting cops but this time I completely missed him. XP called out "COP, COP!!!" We even talked for a while how the car is registered to my G/F but I picked it out with her and my first choice would have been a B-body or whatever. That Cop was like a Saint, by far the nicest guy I've met in a uniform. He cut me some MAJOR slack. $90 for what I did is a pretty small price to pay.
  16. I'm nufkced up right now... so This is pretty funny! once I sober up I'm not sure if it will be as weird.
  17. Yes... that's always a risk if there's woods around, this was kind of a 50/50 scenario, it's kind of in the country in terms of population density but the highway has wide medians, there's fences & guard rails and no DEER CROSSING signs.
  18. I like Datsuns & I like Camaros but this botched abortion is just gross! http://newengland-motorsports.com/forums/s...ed=1#post304941
  19. I thought chu said you had a Hemi?!?! Yeah, it's at the shop having a foot shaped gas pedal installed so I stole this pile...
  20. WhyJay's got the right idea wiht the disclaimer.
  21. Depressing, I guess it happened a while ago, in Feb. of this year. http://blogs.courant.com/nightbeat/2006/02...n_gir.html#more So now putting all the pieces togeater between the 1st hand account & the newspaper story: Honda Civic runs a stop sign, drunk truck driver spares that stupid b!tches' life & accidentally kills a innocent girl in the Trailblazer.
  22. Futurama is very cool, not as cool as the Futureliner though...
  23. It's not a sedan. Seriously it's NOT. It's a 4 door hardtop. A-pillar -- galss -- rubber weatherstrip -- glass -- B-pillar. As far as the LeSabre concept/showcar what makes it even more amazing is that the car was daily driven to work & home by Harley Earl for a few years. He slepped on manufacturer's plates and drove it like a Chevy rental car.
  24. They are the kind of morons that think no lock (key hole) = no locking function.
  25. I wonder if a true RS with hideaway headlights will become a reality?
