  1. I HATE floor mounted e-brakes. HATE them. They plain suck and seem to wear out in about 10,000 miles and or two years. So I think the hand parking brake is cool, as far as the interior I think it's decent for what it is. Who cares, I'll buy one even wiht rolled sheetmetal for a dash so long as it's SBC powered & RWD.
  2. 1. I don't have the software to edit Quicktimes. 2. I love hearing that metallic whirr of a SBC's starter. 3. It's more REAL that way, no B.S. just some legit Tight Whips action.
  3. When Marcia's away the Tight Whips Car Club will play. Since this sunday at around noon the Camaro will be on a car trailer headed to Upstate New York I thought that it was only right to have one last earth shakin', tire fryin' burnout spectacular! Me & Speeding Penguin drove to an undisclosed location in New England and took some photos of the Malibu next to the Panther-Camaro. Then the fun began right when the tape started rolling. Make sure to check out the video, it's a quicktime. At one point I think I starved the car of fuel with the constant Gs. Then I flooded it but as you will see it started up fine. We have three videos all togeather but I kept throwing my fan belt if I got close to 7000rpm. This video only shows the car at much lower revolutions, like 4000-5500RPM. It sounds even louder & better at 7000RPM. clicky ----------- The aftermath.
  4. Nothing like Amber Fog Lights to turn a daily driven detroit monster into a T1Gh+ W#!P.
  5. My Datsun has a nasty a$$ tick, always has always will but your Grand Am I'm pretty sure should not. Eh, who needs an oil pump anyways? Just top it off w/ 12 more quarts.
  6. I took this pic down in Virginia last fall on my raoadtrip to deliver the 1969 Camaro to No. Carolina.
  7. Here you go buddy... only took forever and a day.
  8. YES!!!
  9. Yeah... it's been a weird past few days. Kind of a mix of shell-shock & euphoria. For those who did't see the ebay listing:
  10. Last time I saw it was yesterday on the Tyngsboro Bridge, the last time before that was last fall when the car was stripped and about to get repainted. I guess it's the original color since it got repainteed the exact shade even though the door jambs, underhood & trunk were painted but no change in hue was made. Love that concave rear window. And of course it's a hardtop.
  11. BLS is still IMHO one of the worst names in GM history. AWFUL!
  12. Pretty funny video. Of course it woudl have been more impressive if that was a 1976 Eldorado but that little Civic had like 4 feet of space in front & a couple feet in the back to work with, if you're too dumb to be able to parallel park a Civic in a parking space big enough for a DTS then maybe driving is not your gig. So as it stands this makes the score: RWD: 529,472 FWD: 1 It wouldn't.
  13. You didn't hear buddy? http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...wtopic=9367&hl=
  14. Awsome! I'm defiantely going out there at some point this year. GM1, Balthazar, Camino, Black&Blue, OCNBLU and others live in that general area.
  15. Yes, I'm sure I'll get the Cars DVD for Sofia eventually.
  16. I think they should do a Kappa Chevy too... call it Nomad or Nova or Blue Flame... Style it accordingly, as in the Nomad concept or a 2 dr ht of some sort.
  17. Aerosmith
  18. Does he not bring up some valid points???
  19. Wow, Those are awsome! I love the SS-style hood wiht the dual quad chrome inlets, just like the original. The black & blue two tone is very cool too. Can I "borrow" one of these for a sig. if I give you credit below?
  20. Since my Camaro will be departig from my life soon I think I will post a few of its finer moments from the past 4 years here... it's no show winner but it is a muscle car & pony car in the TRUE definition. Here's a chop I did of possible paint jobs I considered for the car last year when I still wanted to keep it.
  21. Q45, 11:20pm, undisclosed location north of Hartford Connecticut.
  22. Dude.... we've all been there. I know I certainly have. Keep your head up buddy. Life has a way of doing a 180* just when you feel like you need to hot the brakes. I mean breaks. Hittign the gym is therapudic, even better: going to the firing range and shooting off a bunch of ammo into an innocent paper target. Damn, it's been two years since the last time I went, much too long.
  23. You lost me Griffon. Hudson: What part of the country are you in? If you're anywhere in N.E. I'll stop by next time one of my crazy roadtrips. WMJ: Don't say F-biased-AWD or I'll kick your butt.
  24. You say that like it's a bad thing.... I'm about to upgrade from a 350 to 394 in my classic car. That's six and a half liters for you metric types. Not to mention when me and XP teamed up to save BIG RED from the crusher he payed $300 for it the day gas went up momentarily to like $3.79 a gallon.
