  1. I can't speak for your particular part of the world but here in my neck of the woods Import drivers, esp. Honda fans are always making "that particular problem does not occur in Hondas & Acuras" comment. They're the jerks who give you the finger after they cut you off and many times if you're on the side of the road with your hazards on (like when your 68 Camaro throws a fanbelt) they do juvenile things like a 2nd gear salute as they drive by you. Not always but often enough. If you knew me as a person and not just on the internet you would not condem me for this. For all the times I've done something like this I've been a good samaritan a hundred others. Like the time a POS (FWD) Lincoln Continental ate a radiator by the Wang tower in Lowell and I gave the guy a tow to the nearest parking lot with my Blazer using some chain from my demolition derby car and then a ride home even though it was like 20 miles out of my way. It was like 2am and he was an older gentleman so I helped him out. I didn't tell him he should have bought a RWD car... time & place you know. I'm almost never a jerk, if once in a blue moon I laugh at some bland-import-transport-pod driving yuppie kid from Chelmsford's misery it's only for therapudic reasons.
  2. All good points. The only thing that will prevent me from buying a 5th gen. ASAP would be a fixed B-pillar... no matter how thin or elegant.
  3. Robert REDford
  4. Toyota is second only to Wal*Mart in my short list of EVIL corporations.
  5. The Key with MACCO is this. 1. mask the car yourself... (emblems, trim, windows... etc.) 2. Slip the manager an extra $100 to hook you up wiht a decent job. I was told this by a bodyman who sugested I do a temp. paint job on my Camaro untill the new quarters go on... now that's not an issue since I'm selling the car.
  6. 76C.T. I know... it's plain inexcusable IMO. Honda is such an over rated car, it really saddens me to see Civics flying off dealership lots when the Cobalt is 10x the value. Z28lvr: that took me a minute... XM via D.D. "time to make the donuts"
  7. well... since he mentioned S.H.A. I just thought I'd mention the 2nd most over-played Skynyrd song too. :AH-HA_wink:
  8. BEST. IDEA. EVER. Talk about Chinese torture... listening to one of his songs over & over and over & over + over would make anyone normal want kill themselves I would imagine. Gotta love how all his songs always "feature" some useless artist who "sings" three lines of lyrics as if it was some fantastic contribution.
  9. Oh, well for $500 you're getting a decent deal even if a little work is required, so long as the "buck" does not prove to be an electrical gremlin.
  10. Who stole my Tunned Port 350 and dropped in a Buick 231???

  12. Hot Topic, $19.99 definately on my list of "must haves".
  13. Skynyrd have several other great songs besides Sweet Home Alabama, not that you'd know it if you're a casual classic rock listener. "Freebird" is a great tune for instance.
  14. What else can I say...? Everyone is gay What else would I be...? All apologies.
  15. I disagree.... Oldsmobile tried to be an Acura/Lexus competitor. Poeple who want Lexuses & Acuras buy.... ... Rebadged Toyotas & Hondas. Oldsmobile was an American car brand, if they had sold a GREAT American car with the proper advertising & quality the Rocket logo would have not stopped sales from doing well.
  16. C'mon... this is a no-brainer. Compact Chevrolet car from the 1970s... then years later this "tuner" made this car in question but for rival brand.
  17. WMJ: ...the fake NASCA scoop decals.
  18. It's a Quad4, BV's just messing with you. That's like saying "1992 Camaro Z/28s did not come with 350s... they were Tunned Port powered." Go for it but talk down the price. $1500 is too much IMHO.
  19. Sounds about right. If I was not an upright citizen I'd recomend the following fix: 1. Break open the steering column with a flathead & hot wire it 2. Drive it to the nearest rail-road tracks 3. Park it on the RR tracks around a sharp corner at about 3am 4. Go home and sleep untill 6am 5. Report the car stolen 6. File Police Report & insurance paperwork 7. Collect $5000 check (it's a HON-duh.... KBB/NADA is high) 8. Buy a non-Honda (preferably GM) vehicle 9. Enjoy lack of grinding noise while driving
  20. There was no such thing as an LT in the good old days... In the "good old days" Camaros were hardtops and they had optional hideaway lights, RS did not mean "split bumper" and the coolest Camaro available had dog dish hubcaps and was designated ZL1.
  21. Jack Black
  22. It actaully could IMHO... it worked wonders for Chrysler! And yet this basic form of reinvention already resulted in Oldsmobile's demise.
  23. 1st. gen. Neon? I can see a base model Neon having only 2 speakers.
  24. My 1997 Pontiac Grand Am had a stainless steel exhaust. But that had a total of 4 speakers. (living large!) I'll guess Geo Tracker ragtop? Give some REAL hints. Bad floormats... WTF is that?
