  1. Here's an idea... let's start a thread of our favorite Camaro photos/artwork of all time. Here's mine.
  2. I don't care what it is I'm buying an enclosed car tariler and getting a cut-rate discount on the very first street legal 5th gen. Camaro to hit the streets.
  3. Well, this does not bother me in the least bit on a modern car but on a classic I actaully love to see that to the extreeme. I wish I still had some dealer tag from California on my Camaro as it was sold in Barkersfield, CA. Funnier still would be if I ended up buying a 1959 Buick wiht a dealer plaque from like Alaska or New Mexico.
  4. For some crazy reason I know several people who drive FWD cars... not just the "cool" ones like 1996 Buick Rivieras & 2002 Grand Am GT1s but even really horrible stuff like Honda CRVs & KIA Rios. This is a very disturbing trend. All joking aside someone else's car usually tends to not bother me... if they drive something I do not like and we are carpooling I take the Q45, Datsun or if they're a red blooded Amercan male or cute chick they get to ride shotgun in the Camaro.
  5. Now we're really getting silly. So now the "death of the V8" is supported by the "too much HP is dangerous" theory, but yet a few pages ago it was about V6s putting out near-V8 power. Anyone who lives near a city that is heavy in modified Import Fart Can Cars can tell you that 1.6 liter CRXs & 1.8 liter Integras kill just as quickly as any V8.
  6. So if you're all bent out of shape over MPGs then drive it that way in the slow lane... it's a free country. But when and if you need some sack it's there waiting for you. --------- People seem to be getting fixated on horsepower, torque & MPG when the real issue is consumer's preception. V6s do not and will never have the high-end preception, sound & smoothness of V8s.
  7. nyscene: Wow... your sister has a 1990 Infiniti M30? Talk about rare. The M30 makes the Nissan 240sx look downright pedestrian. Too bad they had V6s and not inline sixes and were automatic only.
  8. I like both but I get absolutely weak-kneed at the sight of a 1959 hardtop Buick. Ask Balthazar when we took a look at that rusted post-flood rot-box down on a farm in N.J. I was still considering trading my 68 for it straight up... if a car really speaks to me I gert stupid and often times will make an impulse buy. I mean seriously a 1959 Buick LeSabre Flattop with the 3-on-the-tree trans.? That's got to be more rare than a 1970 LS6-454 powered Chevelle ragtop with a bench seat and white interior up in Alaska. May God forgive those idiots for letting it rot to death.
  9. God, I remember being 15 years old durring the 1994 Winter Olympics and seeing those damn Neon ads like every 10 seconds. Say HI to Neon! The pillarless doors were semi cool but over all those 1st gen. Neons were not worth their weight in Cinderblocks. I suppose they were good economy cars I resented having one as a runner when I worked at Bill DeLuca CHevrolet.
  10. Agreed Lutz... I loved my 1991 S10 Blazer. 4.3 + 5-speed on the floor = fun to drive.
  11. Is it built in Germany? NO. Does is share any major components with any BMW? NO. Does it have a BMW logo stamped everywhere?* NO. Are they sold anywhere in the World with a BMW badge on the nose? NO. Then it just so happens BMW is their parent company. *Like every damn component on my Infiniti Q45 & 1984 Datsun is stamped NISSAN MOTORS. If the Mini is a BMW then Jaguar, Aston Martin, Land Rover, Mazda & Volvo are all just Fords and nothing else. Also this means the BLS is a SAABILAC, Porsche & Lamborghini are just overglorified VWs and Ferraris are really Fiats.
  12. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE God let it be just a rubber weatherstrip.
  13. The Quest is a decent looking vehicle for a minivan. If I HAD to drive one I guess that'd be the one.
  14. We'll never win by the rules we're adhering to now... to beat NIPPON Inc. GM has to make a great American car again... instead of a good Japoanese imitation. The Japanese got to where they are by carving out thier own niche and then hitting their demographic consistantly with products that people want to buy for whatever reason. The sauccess of the 300C/Charger/Magnum and the Ford Mustang just proves that GM will succeed if they just build a bunch of GREAT cars. Radical styling, very wild ad campaiogns like in the 1960s and a return to what American cars shoud be: RWD & V8 powered. Sure we have to crank out a few FWD Malibus & Cobalts but that's not where their core market will lie. Pontoac going to all RWD is a first great step to the return to dominance. Build great AMERICAN cars and the sales will come... GM might still not have the media on their side but it will not matter at that point. You can write in C&D and MT that the new Mustang & Charger sux but that will not mean anyone will listen.
  15. XP: You think everyone who's not Dave Chapelle or Will Farrell as Niel Diamond sux. This was kind of funny, perhaps if I knew any- thing about Pokemon I might get it better.
  16. We've discussed it for a while and now we're all blue in the face of redundant bickering. The truth is the majority of the board does not share your apocalyptic phrophecy of the "DEATH of the V8" Even the "Decline of the V8" would have been too extreme for my taste but it would be a little less tabloid-ish. These arguments you are makig do not make sense to me and a few other peope on this site who are smarter and better educated on this kind of thing than I am. Like I said even your title reminds me of something in the Enquirer back in the mid 1990s. "BATBOY LOOSES VIRGINITY IN NEVADA BROTHEL" The V8 may or may not decline in sales numbers or be downsized to extremes in the future... perhaps in a few decades even a 1.0 liter V8 will make 400 horsepower... Ferrari had 1.0 liter V12s back in the day so why not? IN any case "DEATH" is just over the top and sets people on edge even before they read you whimsical tale of how V6s are taking over.
  17. I'd be more afraid of whatever is in that "utility belt" anything battery powered would make me very nervous.
  18. Yes, Clayton Bigsby is the funniest "Black White-Supremacist" ever. Dave Chapelle is a comedic genuis. The best was the very end of t that episode when he saysd he divorced his wife of 20 years because she was a "Ni&&er lover". It's so wrong but so funny. If he (Chapelle) comes back and finished the thrid season of his show I'll be actually looking forward to a TV show other than Sopranos.
  19. Only Neon that maters is the SRT4.
  20. Like my old Sig. said about my 1984 Datsun... it's 3% GM. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datsun_810 Wow... I'll have to rent that movie soon.
  21. Thanks Delta... I don't think it's the RWD per se that people despise me for it might be my preaching about its undeniable superiority in 74% of my posts. And the hardtop obsession I post about the other 26% of the time.
  22. True... I like the new M45 better than any Q45 including my own 1997. The next-gen. Q45 should go back to the "longer, lower, wider" style.
  23. Conformity and limitless acceptance is for people with self esteem problems & pu$$ys.
  24. The long legs that the rabbit uses to push off with and jump are "mounted" on the front of the rabbit & the smaller front legs vice-versa. Truth in advertising. FWD is backwards & lame.
