Put the Cattle Prod down RKM.... How's this?

They have the Caddy crest & 2 handgun buckle at Hot Topic in the Pheasant Lane Mall. I almost bought it but did not have $20.00 play money at the time. It's even nicer looking in the flesh.

It's a Loooooong story but in a nutshell I have a 1970 Cadillac Coupe Deville sitting on my front lawn right now. As well as two 80s AMCs. A red SX/4 and poop-brown Concord Station wagon parts car. The Coupe Deville has a VERY interesting history involving a funeral parlor, deceased owner and how it was driven for only 7 miles when new and then it sat in a garage for over two decades. Now it has (supposedly) only 29K original miles and yet New England winters have pretty much made it a parts car. There's enough rust on it to plug the hole in the Titanic. Still, just haivng a 1970 Cadillac on your front lawn is cool. I love starring at it. Now I have TWO 2-door hardtops in my driveway. Check it out:

New York: Scion FUSE Concept
Sixty8panther replied to Variance's topic in New York International Auto Show (NYIAS)
I think it looks a lot better than anything in Scion;'s current production car lineup. If this was RWD (and proportioned that way) it would actually be kind of cool. As it is I just thik it has a chopped roof xB thing going on... -
You know it's pretty pointless when I even think it's a bit immature. The kid in the Impala hit a few big bumps & drove throught a lot of mud... big deal. For a FWD, unibody car the Impala is a tough car. It can take more than that. I like the awsome dialogue: If you drive in reverse and then wathc the tape in rewind it will look like it is gping forward. That's genius. AS far as the Kia, where to start. 99 MPH is not that exciting... but esp. dumb was the attempts at FWD burnouts. Rater pathetic. No, holdiong on the the C-pillar does not help you goober. These guys would get a MUCH better Bang/buck out of a $500 used beater Crown Vic.

That's exactly what SHOULD have been done to begin with!

I went to NYC and all I brought back was a super cool Sig.

Buahahahahahahahahhhahah!!!! I'd like to test drive those t!ts if you know what I mean. P.S. You mean there's people who are not obsessed with cars of the 1960s & 1970s, esp. drag cars? Who are these freaks!?

EDIT: read page two.... how about an ex-rental Cobalt or G6. Decent compromise, new-er car but you let Enterprise take the masive hit in depreciation. Just a thouhgt.

I thought you were about to say you did that. Like I always said the S10 platform gets a lot of ridicule but it's not that bad. My 1991 Blazer was a fantastic truck that met and exceeded every expectation I had for it. So long as your mom is okay it's good news I suppose. Take the bank check from insurance and get your mom to get a G6 or Cobalt. Hey, it's the new Beetles that suck, the old shcool BUgf was quite a car. Air cooled, pancake four, spartan yet comftortable (relatively) while being the only true no excuses WORLD car that ever existed. I'd love to have a 50s or 60s Beetle someday... but right now I have to concentrate on the tracking down a '59 Buick.

WElcome to the forum Christina, sounds like a thoughtful present.

Funny this thread should pop up... I've always said "E'-koh-tek" sa well. I sold Chevrolet cars for 4 years out of two dealerships and it was always pronounced that way by all the other associates. But at NYIAS the trophy reps at the Chevrolet and Pontiac booths both pronounced it as Echo-tech. I just chlked it up to $h!ty N.E. word butchering and I made a mental note to pronounce it the new correct way, but now I'm more confused than ever.

Happy Easter Everyone! I spent Sunday morning driving back from NYC and then in the early afternoon we went to Marcia's Grandmothers for a family get togeather. Today (Easter Monday) we are going to my parent's house for dinner. Jesus is risen, hide the eggs!!!

All the best on your birthday Walt. This forum has been a very positive experience for me in the past 1.5 years. I spend more time on C& then I do on all the other forums combined. Thanks for giving an obsesive GM fan like myself a outlet for my automotive enthusiasm. So once again, Happy Birthday & Thank You!

The New Infiniti G35
Sixty8panther replied to titan's topic in New York International Auto Show (NYIAS)
This "new" G35 looks a lot better in person than here in pixles as it may be. I was pissed at Infiniti however that because of the debut of this car they did not bring the G35 coupe concept. The rep said it would have "upstaged" the restyled sedan's debut. No $hit Sherlock! That's why it's an autoshow, I can see the frekin G35 sedna in Showrooms this fall. But this was my ONE chance to see that breathtaking concept. Damn It. -
I have to make this quick since I'm "borrowing" someone's network. I'm sitting in the Datsun in NYC typing this on my laptop. My car is less than 10 feet away from the Ground Zero fence. Seeing the stark absence of the Twin Towers & the rest of the trade center has brought back all those sad, depressing, disturbing and scary feelings that we all felt on Sept. 11th 2001. But somehow the reality & first person perspective of this cold, hard, concrete image, the relative juxtaposition of this vibrant and beautiful city & the viceral absence of the WTC in this footprint of mega-million-dollar chunk of realestate is somehow over whelmingly depressing. Standing next to this excuse for a construction site, less than a block from the Mariott where I stayed in 1997 is surreal. My room overlooked the towers, well I could only see one of them from my window but still, their absence is just so very startling. Like that dream where you fall from a great distance & just before impact you wake up all in a panic. Anyway it's 1:00am and I've got a LONG drive ahead of me but I'll leave you with one quick message. Forget everythig you've heard, read, seen & hoped for in regards to the Camaro concept. This thing is so damn HOT and so much more incredible in the flesh it's rediculous. This car really is the equivelant of SEX on wheels. For once the hype is true. The YF22 elements really are there in the design and yet it has Camaro DNA of the most pure-bred & muscular variety. Just like the blonde chick (Chevy representative) on the stand said: If theey do not build this car, fast & exactly as is then the whole company is "certifiable". I'll sell my liver & both my kidneys to afford one! x 100,000,000 Peace, I'm out.

Off I go. It's 9:30 and by 11:00 I should be showered, shaved, on the pike reading mapquest directions at like 85mph. Just have to gas up the Datsun and fill up my "tank" as well... perhaps Fruit Loops will do the trivk. I've been eating that sugary excuse for a breakfast food a lot recently. Just in case anyone can meet up with me PM me and I'll try to check my email once I'm in NY, they will hopefully have an internet hookup there. For those of you who already have my pennsylvania (work) cell number (area code 484) I'll have that phone on me so just call.

No, I have not forgoten things just got hectic again. I still have to install my graphics program on ym new laptop.... I'll try to get it done by tuesday.

It's all good, I've driven furthere alone and I'll do it again. As a matter of fact I might take a roadtrip to AZ this year. It would be super cool to go see the Grand Canyon again & visit Duffy in the Phoenix area. If I had the money I'd drive that little Maxima to California just to say I did it. The gas does add up quickly once you start talking about like 4000 miles round trip.

I'd respond to that but I'd get yelled at for not using the PM feature. (yes the powers that be think I post too many threads)
