  1. Darn it, Speeding Penguin can't come along to NY with me, might have to go solo. Hmm.... perhaps I'll call XP and se if he's up for another crazy raodtrip in the Datsun. Too bad Marcia has dibs on the Q for the weekend since she's going on a pretty long trip herself. The novelty of the Infiniti has not worn off yet so I drive it pretty much when ever I can. Anyone in my area * Cough-COUGH, Variance cough, clears throat * wanna tag along with me in the Maxima? Anyone else going on the 15th period? You

  3. Good I think. Screw Honda. They suck. Maybe they can make a V-Tech Vibrator & f#$k themselves. Anyway here's my new sig:
  4. Location, location, location.... Plus it's not WHAT but WHO yoy know.
  5. Yeah... well if you're confusing Daihatsu and Datsun you probably should not hold strong oppinions abotu the Automotive industry. Focusedchaos: I agree, I wish they had kept the Datsun name in the US market.
  6. The rear quarter panel is LaCrosse-ish.

  8. I like the interior a lot, the steering wheel and vents are very cool. This is a predictable reskin, lacks any amount of IN YOUR FACE originality but it does give the car a new lease on life. I hope that the next gen. Maxima debuts by decade end wit RWD and the Altima becomes fills the Camry-fighter segment for Nissan.
  9. If it was me my theme would be classic cars, by that I mean the 1960s and before. Here's some ideas: Deusenberg Diner ElDorado Burger Zephyr Grille Chrome Eatery LaSalle Bar Cadillac Luncheon Hungry Hungry Mopar Coupe DeVille Grille The Buick & Olds Drive Thru Hot Rod Shack Stanley Steamer Kitchen The Hungry Plymouth Buick Supper
  10. A lot of people said that in the early 1970s but we all know how the next two decades turned out. The Prius is a marketing tool plain & simple. It's overly complex, underwhelming and over rated.
  11. The XLR style headlights are the biggest change? I think the Maxima needs ot return to it's roots. I'm not holding my breath for an inline 6 like the one in my '84 but RWD woujld be a start. The next gen. Maxima should be a rebadge fo the outgoing G35 sedan & maybe they can make a coupe too... kind of a for passanger 350Z. The quirky styling, FWD, V6 & lack of a fully manual trans make the current Maxima very unapealing. Yet I love my 1984 more than many Domestic cars form the era.
  12. I'm really becoming a HUGE fan of Infiniti. This is a decent but somewhat dissapointing redesign. I'll wait for the coupe to pass judgement, the current coupe looks much better than the seadn and taht will probably not change. As it stands ther nose has too much Lexus in it to my eyes but the butt looks awsome. iliked the way the tail lights went through a subtle evolution. I hope the FX gets a better reskin than this. I thought the G35 coupe concept was about a 11 on the 1-10 scale of sexy/sporty luxury coupes! Please tell me you're kidding? Datsun was/is just a cover-name for Nissan motors. Since Nissan was originaly founded by/for the Japanese Military buildup and with all the horrible things doen by the Japanese in WWII they wanted a politically correct name taht would not elude to WWII esp. in parts of Asia where they commited attrocities and in the USA. (remember Pearl Harbour?) Datsun was never and will never be associated with Toyota. God I hope not anyway. It's alwas been a different emblem for a Nissan same as Infinitini is just a Nissan rebadge. These days Nissan and Renault have a relationship (I think the French own Nissan) but there has never been any affiliation with Toyota. The Nissan Quest and Mercury Villager shared a platform and there was some other affiliation between Nissan & Ford back in the day. (1970s I think)

  14. So I take it the Silverado Hybrid is noting? I know it's not a 100% hybrid but it's not chopped liver either.
  15. I think it's good now.
  16. No improvement in the past 10 years? WTF??? Obviously this numbskiull did his homework.
  17. Yeah... that 1/3 pint of Crown Royal was a bit too much.

  19. Not recently but he's responed to a few forums a few weeks ago.
  20. Now even MORE problems & blackouts with C&G??? WTH is this stuff at the top of the page? I hope you got my PM GM1, cause C&G has been weird, riddled wiht error messages and non-responsive all day. I sent the PM and it kicked me off the site.
  21. Happy Birhtday LA! Hope you wake up tomorrow to a mint condition 60s Catalina hardtop and a 1st gen Supra twin turbo tuner in your driveway. Both registered titled and insured to you with a $2000 gas card in the glove copartment.
  22. Now that's some funny $h! right there! I'd give my left nut for a mint 59 Buick with low milage but then I'd feel bad making it into my eventual summer daily driver. VB: ?lauxes-ib gnieb odranoeL htiw od ot gnihtyna evah siht seoD
  23. Agreed. This would make a killer Chevrolet Sting Ray. What a sexy car.
  24. Moltar's first car was more obscure than my Datsun Maxima. Holy $hit I almost forgot they MADE Diesel Escorts.
  25. Not quite. 2.5 gallon jog of water at Stop & Shop = $1.99 Weather you buy form EXXON or Jimmy's Local Gas it's still gas and you're still consuming Crude Oil. You're just shifting profit... i.e. not accomplising much.
