  2. Which is why if I ever become filthy rich I will pay them like $20,000 for that rotted out 1961 Fleetwood and tell em to keep up the great work.
  3. My 1983 Volvo 240 (ex-demolition derby car) will be going to L.U.A. very soon. They give $50 and tow it away themselves. That's where I bought my clutchfan for my Datsun actually. $15.

Wow.... good luck with that. Marcia & I both love the Q45 but thank god for that 30 day warranty from the dealership. The car went through a MAF, 2 knock sensors, an Ox2 sensor & a serpentine belt as well as a throttle cable adj. in just the past 6 weeks. Our cost was only about $210 thus far but the dealer payed out another $1000 or so. We've been going hrough service engine soon lights like it's our last day on earth. Still love that car though.
  5. It's funny cause it's true!

  9. Rain rain & more rain... makes for a wet & damp roadtrip. As some of you know I attended a Nissan Club Meet at the Grafton Lakes State Park, NY this past weekend. It was raining when I left Mass, it rained the WHOLE time I was there and rained even heavier on the way back. Western Mass & NY better have some sick May Flowers this year, that's all I have to say. The Meet was fun but the cars and events were dismal. The lack of attendance was chalked up to the crappy weather but the people who did show up were cool so it was a fun roadtrip. As it turned out, most of the guys there were from Altimas.net but the mix of cars was pretty hilarious. 3 Nissan Altimas 350Z 240sx notchback 240sx hatch 5th gen. Maxima Sentra SER Infiniti G20 Subaru WRX wagon Dodge Ram (broken air bag susp. on his Altima) S10 Blazer Camry (project 240sx not running) Sunfire (Maxima not on the road) VW Golf (Altima not finished) Corolla (rental car) And that's like 75% of the people there.... It's all good though cause for me it was more about the trip not the destination. Driving up through Rt. 2 in Western Mass through the Mohawk Trail & across the mountains & valleys. Driving across those roads always reminds me of back home (CzechoSlovakia) and if you have a car with a full manual trans it's super fun. The cliffs, serpentine roads, hairpin turns, extra tall guardrails, railroad bridge, white water rivers, jagged mountain tops & foggy patches of heavy forest... it's all so therapeutic. The scenery is worth the price of gas right there. Anyway... here's the photos: The famous Souvenir Store on the Mohawk Trail. Cars in Barns Spotting No. 389,549,701 The token "Asian Kid" was a pretty cool dude, as it turns out we live live less than 5 miles appart. Both of us drive 150+ miles to a NY State Park and find out that he drives past my house everyday to go to work and even recognizes my '68 Camaro. Small world. The trashed Motel Room was evidence enough of our insane party. Actaully this was just a stupid prank by the older members since we were Noobies. Hazing at it's finest. Here's a quick colage of the cars that attended and stayed untill Sun. morning. I was told by a few guys that my Maxima tied with the notch- back 240SX for coolest car in attendance. http://i3.tinypic.com/wbcdbb.jpg You have not lived untill you drive up a mountain & down the other side averaging about 55MPH in 25-50mph zones in wet conditions and in a car wiht a true clutch. If it was not for the Fog as thick as whip cream you could see Mass, VT & NY from this overlook. Which is why they call it a three state view.
  10. Dodgefan: It was sold for cash before the G/F & I could finance it. Sometimes it sucks having your own business, the whole financing a car or house thing becomes extra complicated when you have to verify your income. SP: Call me.
  11. Was that yellow Solstice GXP hot or what? I wanted to dry hump the rear quarter. The G6 HT conv. has goofy proportions, which is sad since it's the closest thign to a pillarless HT that GM has right now. BTW, notice how Dodge was right next to Honda and Toyota & Chevrolet were side by side....? The Chevy rep. told me that was a first. Sleezy toyota logo made it into 75% of people's pics. of the Camaro.
  12. Mitsubishi Zero
  13. F*&% that... 5.3 with DOD!!!
  14. Yeah, but small price to pay for having a car that has more presance and better styling than a brand new $300,000 Rolls Royce or Bentley. Old School* Cadillacs are the Shizz-nik! *as in pre-mid 1970s, esp. 1920s - to - 1968
  15. That's just it.... the house first, car second. After seeing that gorgeous 1997 240SX notchback at the Grafton, NY Nissan meet I went to this weekend I'm almost considering a nice used one instead of the Cobalt. I sure do love RWD lightweights. Most likely I'll end up with the thing I least suspect. Maybe a non-SC SS would fit the budget but still give me some fun factor, either way I'm not doing the daily driver 1984 Datsun for much longer. Now that Marcia's got the Q45 & drives it moer than I do I'm itching for a new ride.
  16. This guy is a true enthusiast. I'm not a big fan of Front-biased AWD but this guy's car does scream! It's almost as fast as a Saturn.... V Rocket. I'd love to drive that Eagle just once. 8.9 in the 1/4 mile is pretty damn impressive. Esp if you're a one man opperaton. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/84E511E...4CD3C9C12CE.htm
  17. Concept: A+ MT sketch: F+ Not... not even close. 4 banger, 2 passanger, sub-compact ragtops do NOT steal sales away from 2+2 V8 powered musclecars with "usable" trunks and 40 years of heritage.
  18. well.... to be honest the only way to tell is to have the car looked at. Chances are if there was something seriously wrong they should have caught it when you got your state inspection sticker. I'm assuming you got one. In any case good luck, I'll ask XP.
  19. Yup.... C&D gave the Kappa twins a few backhanded complements but over all they agreed about it being a great value.
  20. Let me guess, the junkyard in question was Jack's in Billerica right? Dude, I've "been there" a million times. There's a Junkyard I know that has three 1950s Cadillac Limousines, two 1960s Cadillac Hearses and two 1959 Buicks. One is a flat top and the other a convertible!!! or how about the 1968 Pontiac Firebird 326 convertible at Jacks a few years back!?
  21. Sweeet! I'll make you one for sure. Looks like you're rollin' on fo'teens too!
  22. Actually you're close... it's a 472. Which is basically a destroked 500. Eiter way they're not for the faint of heart.
  23. Yo mamma's underwear is so crusty her crabs ride dirt bikes. Yo mamma is so fat she was baptised at sea world. Yo momma so stupid I said "penny for your thoughts" & she gave me back change. personal favorite: Yo momma so fat she eats mayonase with her tylenol!
  24. And one more.... that's XP hatin' on the Datsun in the Video, the other person talking is SpeedingPenguin, he's the one video-taping too. http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/ssil...ster_L24E_2.flv
  25. My Mom likes the Cobalt, my dad's pissed the CD player is not MP3 compatible but for waht they payed he's happy.
