This guy knows what's he's talking about. We've got the Camry/Solara/Avalon/Accord/Maxima wannabe with the Impala, Monet Carlo, Lacrosse & Grand Prix... I know they seem like good products but just STOP trying to beat the Japanese at their own game. Chryler figured it out why can't you GM? The way to get back a lot of sales is to build American cars for Americans. Make a plus-size Charger/300 competitor for all three midline divisions: Buick, Pontiac and of course Chevrolet. RWD full size interior & exterior looks that can be mistaken for nothing other than a American sedan/coupe claasic names form the glory days... no "CXR" or "GPS" call them Biscayne, Chevelle, LeSabre, Invicta, Regal, Bonneville, Grand Prix, Catalina or even... *gasp* Caprice Classic.

Raineer: Enlave is taking care of that Montana/Terraza: yeah that's a no brainer. DTS: absolutely.... we need a real Deville, RWD and more along the lines of the 1996 Fleetwood Monte Carlo: replace with Chevelle? or replace with a RWD car that would be a plus-size Camaro. My personal opinion for the vehicle that deserves to be axed the most with hope of return? Torrent. The excitememt divison does not need a freekin Equinox with a revised nose. Esp when Saturn already has a Equinox rebadge.

I'm less worried about $h!ty quality/looks/ergonomics/reliability (all valid points) and more pissed about the fact that 16 years after we bankrupt the Reds and broke the spine of communism in Russia we're supporting the wolrds biggest Socialist state by buying 85% of their GNP. Cool idea but your Buick is supercharged not turbocharged so the logo does not make sense. I always thought of the logo as resresentative of the TURBO 3.8, but then again I'm kind of old school.

Agreed. The Enclave is the best concept of 2006 wiht the obvious exception of the Camaro. DAmn GM really cleaned house. Ford's Acid Reflux was gross and Chysler had a bunch of gross stuff... the koreans had tacky wannabe cars and the japanese had the usual mix of all of the above. But between the Enclave and Camaro GM really kicked ass IMHO.

EVOK: Good points... I had no idea fo a Sigma coupe possibility altought it's only 4 years overdue. Cadillac needs a rear full size rear driver before anything IMHO but whatever. Now as far as differentiating a Camaro "sister car" I think there's a few solutions. - Have GTO go upscale. $40,000 with Northstar power and a 4.4L SC North* powered "Judge" in VERY limited numbers. - Make a Firebird with ALL new sheetmetal off but same mechanicals. Give it more of a 1970.5 Firechicken look and a usable hatchback. Incorporate AWD as an option on the Firebird (and possibly the Camaro too) and you have a great Audi competitor. But in any case two cars under two nameplates WILL sell more collectivelly than just one of either. It's a simple question of math. There's always a percentage of people who will NOT buy a car from one of the brands but will form the other. Some Pontiac guys will not get caught dead in a Chevy and there's Chevy guys that have Bowtie tatoos who will not buy a Pontiac because it's not their style.

Evok: So, let me clarify waht you're saying: if the Camaro gets the go-ahead for production that makes the GTO obsolete? EVOK: "And if the Camaro does get the final go, which I expect, there is little point for the GTO." Last time I checked the GTO is a Pontiac and Camaro a Chevrolet. That's like saying wiht the Charger in production there is no point for the 300C.

For what it's worth, I said this exact same thing when the 300C hit the streets. If BMw has to buy out GM in order to save it like Mercedes saved Chrysler then so be it.

Since the IS350 is an expensive king-of-the-hill Sports Sedan from Toyota MOtor Corp. comparisons to the M3 are just about obvious. Comparing the Lexus IS350 to an M3 is unfair all of a sudden? well... even when the 2004s were selling like buckets of sand in the SAhars he said it's a permanenet addition to the Pontiac lineup But hey, 2 weeks ago all knowladge of the existance of ANY project/concept car/product plan for the Camaro was denied like Monica's soiled blue dress. If everyone was this skeptical in the early 1990s the 5th gen Corvette wouldn have never even happened. The Camaro is a car that will be put inot production. Before I saw the concept I was very optimistic for a production car but not holding my breath, at this point I'd almost bet my life on it!

I'm sick of this negativity.... fut the nuck shup! Damn-it the Solstice, Corvette/Z06, STS-V and CTS-V have all translated to production with amazing results. I'm sick of the bitchin. I've been saying since 1998 that GM needs to go a retro-1st gen Camaro ASAP, now after all you collective negativity, a 4 year "hiatus" and all the otehr negatie bull$h! hurting GM the last thing we need is this "not all that it's cracked up to be" stuff. I wanted '69 style wheel arches/sped lines. Gm did not put ther there... so waht bif effin deal.... I'm not goint to cry about it. This car represents a turning point for GM. The return to Pony cars and affordbale RWD 4 passnger cars, and as perhaps more importainlty AMAZING styling the likes of which we have not seen since Mitchell & Earl have led GM design. Plus it's a hardtop!!! WE have not have a hardtop from GM or any otehr American car manufacturer since 1975ish. Damn it the lack of a B-pillar alone makes it worth buying. I can not beleive we're hearing complaints about this car. Jeezus. Go buy a Camry and join the Toyota club of America.

Even if this was not the Camaro concept I'd say it is an AMZING interior. I love the gauges especially. Retro buit very modern. I love everything about the dash.... the backlightsing is ever-so remeniscent of my '68s. I can NOT understand why anyone woudl have complaints abotu the gauges & dash???? Is this not the nicest and most 3D dash since the Pre-Nader era?
