  1. I think that sums up the Avalon rather nicely.
  2. If you've been eastbound on the Cross Bronx Expressway, you may have seen this written on a billboard: Dear Steven, I hope I have your attention. I know all about her, you dirty, sneaky, immoral, unfaithful, poorly-endowed slimeball. Everything's caught on tape. Your (soon to be ex-) wife, Emily. PS: I paid for this billboard with OUR joint bank account. As soon as I noticed that no brands, products, or services were mentioned on the billboard anywhere, I was awe-struck. But really, I have nothing else to add. This just speaks for itself. Also, scroll to the last part of this article... I had a feeling it'd make news. I'm also corrected on the exact wording of the letter here. http://www.ottawasun.com/Lifestyle/2006/07...698240-sun.html
  3. Show me a movie that does, and I'll show you a movie that is severely underrated.
  4. How about a sports sedan that LOOKS more like a sports sedan? Cosmetically, the Impala SS is about as exciting as waiting at the DMV to renew your driver's license.
  5. The Doors wouldn't easily allow it. Jim Morrison wasn't a fan of "selling out". How is Cadillac's voice over any worse than Lexus's "elitist rhymes-with-brick" voice over, which they have been using for as long as I've been listening to Lexus commercials.
  6. Action thriller? Post-apocalyptic setting? Sentient machines? This movie has everything.
  7. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13916606/ My friend sent me this link, actually. Toyota's catching up on all the recalls they conveniently forgot to issue over the past 5+ years. And yes, I'm projecting bias. If some nutjob can claim that "recalls are a time to shine for Toyota", then why can't the same be said for GM? Similar line of thinking with my response to this issue.
  8. Out with the 3800. In with the 3900 w/ AFM. Really, I don't see why that would be a problem...
  9. It's obviously an emergency. Her biological clock is ticking and she needs to get laid.
  10. When I first bought the Seville it had a similar problem. It wouldn't start warm. If you had the engine running for more than a couple minutes and tried to start it up again, it wouldn't. The problem was fixed, though.
  11. Four fat guys in a Geo Metro.
  12. I think the idea of a plug-in hybrid is to use power from the grid to get extra miles in the city, but still have the ability to drive the thing cross-country on gasoline. Otherwise it's just another EV.
  13. That varies from region to region, and also depends on whether or not you're generating the energy yourself with solar panels. The more important question would be: how much energy is going towards charging the car?
  14. John Goodman

  16. Short answers to your questions: 1. Flex-fuel vehicles don't cost much - if any - more than standard engines. They can run on either gasoline or E85. 2. E85 fuel economy is something like a few MPG lower than standard gasoline. But E85 fuel is cheaper and makes up for the lower efficiency. 3. I believe the power is identical.
  17. "Google" Pontiac?? Out of the top 10, half of the links have nothing to do with the automobile division! Pontiac School District... Yeah. That's what's on the Pontiac HotList.
  18. That article is 18 months old. 1. The Sequel will not come as-shown to market. 2. A hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle won't come to market care of General Motors for at least ten years (remember "a million by 2010"? HA!). My only basis for this is that GM simply cannot afford to do so when they're getting beat on in the mainstream market. 3. The Sequel has no wings or propeller and therefore cannot fly.
  19. The printer that the accountants use seems to stop working once a week, but that's mainly software related.
  20. While I wouldn't have a problem getting my hands on a flex-fuel vehicle, I wouldn't be able to take full-advantage of it until they get more E85 pumps out here in New York.
  21. Trixx - awesome concept. But nearly as funny-looking as the Smart ForTwo
  22. You're right. That's not the best analogy. It'd probably be more of the equivalent to "screw auto-seek features and digital tuners. I want an analog radio!!" Because nothing beats trying to fine-tune your radio knob to try and get a weak signal... People would rather have power windows than reach across the car to roll down the window on the other side. And what if it's a BIG CAR? People would also rather have power mirrors and door locks for the same reason.
  23. Heh. So do you really feel that the GM logo should be removed, or are you just instigating?
  24. Britney Spears
  25. I wish I didn't put in a null vote. I've taken my parents' Astro van on a couple of road trips. Both times it was used strictly to move furniture. Other than that, I bum rides to keep the miles down on the Cobalt.
