  1. This kinda reminds me of a quirk in my Cobalt's throttle. If you apply light throttle, it won't downshift at all (from 4th, I think). If you apply just a little more throttile, it downshifts to 1st gear, and the car jumps forward from this newfound power. So I pretty much have to go mid-throttle off the line or otherwise I barely accelerate at all. It's not a natural response, but at least it's somewhat predictable.
  2. It's like a supermasculine Eclipse.
  3. Where and when is the tribute lap? Someone's gonna have to videotape it...
  4. Which is typical of a late 80s/early 90s concept.
  5. Yeah, that does sum it up better.

    Hmm... Maserati, anyone?

  8. That's not right. Regardless of your driving style, if you need to accelerate to get out of the way of traffic, that power needs to be there. Sadly, that's one of the only arguments we can politically give in favor of building fast cars.
  9. Wow... Either the Chinese have no imagination, or they're flagrant assholes. Or maybe they're just trying to promote efficiency by sharing parts cross-manufacturer.
  10. I don't know that China is big enough for a car market proportionate to the US market. I bet small cars are popular there.
  11. That interior is almost concept-like.
  12. My personal favorite, which harks back to my first C&G signature banner...
  13. I didn't like the Chrysler 300 at first, but seeing it in contrast to vehicles that were currently on the road made it a lot more appealing.
  14. Couldn't you just opt out of the OnStar service? I thought the deal was they still provide emergency services without a subscription.
  15. For desktops, I build my own. For laptops, I don't have that same level of convenience available to me. Plus I don't like the inputs on a typical laptop -- scrunched up specialized keyboard and a touch pad driven mouse. On top of that, your video options are limited and cost more. Heck -- everything on a laptop costs more. Do you absolutely need the portability of a laptop? Otherwise you're better off with a desktop.
  16. This thread makes me wonder what C&G members would have said when Renault bought out Nissan... That out of the way, there is some potential that the two smaller firms could make a comeback in combination... Or maybe it is more about the medium/heavy truck business.
  17. That's quite the tank they've built there. Shall we start the bidding at... about $150,000?

  19. That signature... Did you just scan that in at an extremely high resolution, or is it vector? If vector, how did you do that?
  20. Show us all a picture of the car you have in mind, and try to find a picture that will give us an indication of what pops into you head when you see it. For example, when I see this... ...I think of this...
  21. I dunno, there's something rather entertaining about an Alero racing to run a bunch of stupid 80's new wave people off the camera.
  22. This is true... But a house doesn't.... Uh... I've got nothing.
  23. All I know is they better not come out saying "We don't know what to call it" because that's a played out cliché. They should just flat out call them what they are: Luxury Crossovers. That will lump them with the likes of the RX and the FX.
