The Street Raider, another in-house concept, is “the ideal truck for towing your Evo to the track in style,” Mitsubishi says. The Street Raider appears smoother than the production truck, due to “shaved” door handles and fuel door, and bumpers blended flush with the body. The inside features unique brown and pearl white leather trim, as well as a Rockford Fosgate sound system. Performance wise, the Street Raider also gets Brembo brakes visible behind 22-inch seven-spoke rims, and sits two inches lower on a non-production air suspension. The real-life Raider’s 4.7-liter V8 remains, but breathes through tuned dual exhaust pipes.

Spied: 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart Date posted: 07-27-2007 | Link to Original Article @ Edmunds SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Astute spy photographers caught photos of what is believed to be the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, a midlevel model positioned between the base Lancer and the upcoming 300-plus-horsepower Evolution version. While the former Ralliart model offered little more than a body kit and fancy wheels, this next-gen version is expected to have all-wheel drive and a turbocharged four-cylinder making somewhere in the neighborhood of 220-230 horsepower. With that kind of hardware, the Ralliart will be well positioned to compete with the latest Subaru WRX, a …

Studying the Galant Ralliart Form The Mitsubishi Galant is a car that is all but forgotten in the midsize sedan marketplace. It is rarely (if at all) mentioned in the same breath as the Camry, Altima and Accord. Mitsubishi seeks to remedy this with the arrival of the 2007 Galant Ralliart, its most direct competition being the Nissan Altima SE-R and Subaru Legacy GT Spec.B. See if the Galant with the soul of an Eclipse can impress Edmunds' testers. Read "Mitsubishi crosses the Galant and the Eclipse GT" @ Edmunds

TCC Test: 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander Mitsubishi is celebrating its 25th anniversary of selling cars in the U. S. by unveiling the second-generation Outlander compact SUV, and the competition should take notice. Compact in name only, the 2007 Outlander is longer, taller and wider than the model it replaces. A wider track helps increase hip room. And despite a minimum ground clearance of 8.5 inches, step-in is easy and car-like. In other words, this new Outlander's a much stiffer competitor for the RAV4, the CR-V, and the Escape. And with its newly acquired third-row seat, the Outlander puts a foot in the world of true mid-sized utes like the Honda Pilot. Read "2007 Mit…

Mitsubishi's Questionable Future Possible arrival of Pajero Pinin, dealers unimpressed by '09 Galant and Endeavor By KATHY JACKSON | Link to Original Article @ AutoWeek The redesigned Outlander crossover and entry-level Lancer sedan have helped fuel a rebound in Mitsubishi's U.S. sales. But U.S. dealers were not impressed with sketches of the 2009 Galant sedan and Endeavor crossover at dealer meetings this year in Japan and the United States. "We all gave them the thumbs down," said one dealer. He said those models basically only get new bumpers. "It's like putting perfume on a pig," he said. "Like changing your fingernail color." Dealers were counting on radical …

The Lienerts Go Off On a Raider The Mitsubishi Raider is pretty much a Dodge Dakota that's been prettied up a tad. As we all know, Mitsu isn't in the best shape right now. There is a very real possibility that they may leave the North American market. I don't think this is helping matters any. And neither will what Paul & Anita have to say about it. I noticed on the current Mistubishi TV ads a lttle "25 Years in America" logo. Of course, those of us older than the Gen-Xers these cars are targeted for (ironic choice of words, there) remember that Mistusbishi visited us a little earlier than just "25 years." Mistusbishi's first visit actually occurred 63 years ago, on December, 7th, 1942, 07:55 HRS at Pearl Harbor, HI. The model; a Mistubishi A6M Zero Think maybe they'll re-introduce them with the turbo diesel!?

Toyota, Fuji Heavy to brief on alliance on Monday Reuters / March 10, 2006 - 8:15 am TOKYO -- Toyota Motor Corp. and its affiliate Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. said on Friday that they would announce details regarding their business alliance on Monday, March 13, in Japan and the United States. Toyota and Fuji Heavy, the maker of Subaru cars, have been exploring ways to cooperate in the areas of development and production since Toyota became Fuji Heavy's top shareholder in October after Fuji Heavy dissolved its capital alliance with General Motors. Toyota now holds an 8.7 percent stake in Fuji Heavy. The two firms in December agreed to make Toyota-brand cars at Subaru's…

Toyota, Fuji to develop hybrid for Subaru cars: paper TOKYO (Reuters) - Toyota Motor Corp. and Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. have agreed to co-develop a gasoline-electric hybrid system to be mounted on Fuji Heavy's Subaru cars, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported on Saturday. Toyota, Japan's top auto maker and the world leader in hybrid technology and sales, had previously considered supplying its own hybrid system to Fuji Heavy. But that proved difficult given Subaru's unique symmetrical all-wheel-drive drivetrain system, the paper said. Officials at the companies were not immediately available for comment. Toyota and Fuji Heavy have been exploring ways to cooperate in th…

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=122308#2 TOKYO — Mitsubishi Motors has introduced the oddly named Galant Fortis sedan in the home market. Americans will see the same car shortly as a replacement for the Lancer compact. But what I don't get is...why would we see it "shortly as a replacement for teh Lancer" when not only was the Lancer just redesigned, but it's the same damn car?
