GM reduces length of 2009 Saab warranty

Recommended Posts

VW is cutting warranty also.

you gotta wonder if TURBO has something to do with it.

in exchange though, free scheduled maintenance.

For VW, the powertrain warranty, which covers the turbo, remains at 5/60K. The B2B warranty drops to 3/36K, which is also the length of the new scheduled maintenance program.

Sad.

Costs for the automaker aside, nothing shows a lack of faith in vehicle products like a shortened warranty. Or an arrogant faith, but it doesn't look good to consumers at ALL.

VW used to offer only a 2year (and I am not sure of the mileage... 24,000mile?) bumper to bumper limtied warranty and I wouldn't go near that I am afraid.
