Sadly, since it's been a while since we've seen 76, I am asking you guys what you think about Carquest stuff. It's pretty much the only parts store that is far away from me (about 40 miles) I know in many ways they are like Napa, but since I've not shopped there before, I'd figured I'd ask.

I've been eyeballing KYB struts for the wife's car, and I found that most of CQ's struts and shocks are made by KYB. And for the price, I'm willing to drive.

I just wish you could order online.......

We order a lot of suspension and steering parts from them for customer's cars, if their insurance dictates aftermarket.

In my experience, Carquest has a lot of stuff the other guys don't. Usually I buy stuff like oil and so forth from Autozone because they are the closest.

You might want to check out Tire Rack or other online Vendors for your struts...and buying from Tire Rack supports Cheers and Gears if you buy through the website.

I would, but there is a pretty good difference in price with TR and CQ.....

Wife has decided she plans to keeping her car....so I need shocks/struts that will hold up to MI roads. So far, only KYB seems to hold up well.....

the one on gratiot sucks makes you feel unwanted. but they were the only place that had saturn suspension parts besides the dealer. but other stuff they dont seem to stock.

Like NAPA their parts tend to be a cut above the chain stores most of the time, although sometimes O'Reilly stuff can be as well. KYB usually has good shocks/struts. The struts they OEM'd for the Saturn S-Series always seem to hold up really well.

Didn't know that there was one out there...
