Speed Kills: The 20 Best Movie Car Chases

Featured Replies

Worst list ever.

Vanishing point 15?

Ronin 9?

Hell, even Bullitt being at 2 is questionable.

Oh man, Ronin, yup.

The blues brothers had by far the best chase scene. They filmed those scene on lower whacker drive AT SPEED of 110 MPH because Landis didn't think speeding up the film would look good enough.

Two that haven't been mentioned that popped into my head:

Slither

Thunderbolt and Lightfoot

What about the movie "The Chase"? I know it is cheesy, but c'mon, the whole movie is a chase and it has Henry Rollins as a cop.

Glad to see To Live & Die in LA and The Wraith on there. Also, good on them to include the '74 Gone in 60 seconds instead of the new one. I watched Duel for the first time tonight on YouTube...good early Spielberg flick.

That chase from The Rock was wretched. Michael Bay....ugh.

Some I would nominate:

Terminator I - LTD & Cadillac chase

A Beautiful Mind - '53 Buick chase, short but very atmospheric and excellent music

The Driver - awesome 70's flick with an

and a Chevy truck chasing a Trans Am through a warehouse...I can't believe this one wasn't on there
