My name is Ram, and my ad is fffffffffuuuuuuuuu
Te majority seem to give this commercial a hard time, but I actually like it.
I get the message of this add but the execution is just bad. The voice over was anything but strong and tough, which is what the Ram should be IMO. Also I would have rather seen more of the truck in action instead of still shots.
Its a sideshow someone could put together in about an hour. The message is fine I guess but it has no creativity or originality. Its a far cry from Dodge's other Ram ads.
Weird irony with those Aerosmith commercials; there's rumors that the Ram, the 'frontman' for the Dodge brand is gonna split from the brand, and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler has split from the band.
Who is doing the Voice over? Dan Rather? That is just awful ...
You think Al Gore helped them out with the slideshow using his "An Inconvenient Truth" template?
It's one of those ad campaigns that could have been good, but isn't.
If you remove the pics of the trucks and the voiceover, the imagery reminds me of a political ad..reminds me of Reagan's 'Morning in America' spots from the '80s.
