Imperial

Featured Replies

Interesting...in profile, it kinda resembles the last Chrysler Imperial from the early '90s.

it actually looks like an Imperial from the back... is it a clone?

It's apparenly based off an '80s vintage Opel Senator..

Daewoo Imperial

Too funny, did they clone the Chrysler or what with that car. Always fun to see late 80's and early 90's commercials. :P

This just shows how little I knew about GM's Korean initiatives. I thought their first venture together was the horrible Kadett/LeMans that desecrated a perfectly good Pontiac name.

It went back further, but I think earlier ventures were sold only in SK or other Asian markets...they also had a version of the T-car similar to the the I-Mark.

The wiki pic's look like a Ford Fairmont roof in the rear or a Plymouth Caravele, those later models sure look like the Chrysler Imperial & New Yorker padded roofs.

Yeah, the wiki pics are of the Royale, which was basically an unchanged Opel Senator...sound like with the Imperial Daewoo went w/ unique sheetmetal..
