1978 Grand Am Can Am

I had a friend with one of those in college. His name was Mike. Good guy, but he grew up helping his mother run the family business, a woman's clothing and accessory store. He was straight, but not terribly aggressive in some ways.

Car suited him perfectly...actually, he was/is a great guy, and was one of my best friends in College.

Oh, and yes...there is a 73ish Grand Am that is female owned, one owner, that shows up at car shows around here once in awhile. It's cleaner than most cars on a new car showroom...I think of you every time I see that old Poncho, actually.

I like the shape of the '78-81 Malibu and LeMans 2drs...the roofline and general shape reminds me of the '64-65 A-bodies..

That is sooo nice. GM killed so many car guys' spirits behind the scenes. :(
