RIP Mac Duff, 1997-2011. Had to put my Westie boy down today.

Losing a canine companion is a very difficult situation. Part of the reason I've resisted the temptation to get another dog after losing my little Meggie back in December of 2005. Good luck to you in your healing process.

I grew up w/ big dogs and small dogs--folks had German Shepherds, Dobermans, Cairn Terriers and Schnauzers....it's never easy to lose one..

Tinky, a Silky rescue..

Ahhhh....nice to see someone else with a silky-haired terrier. We had one, named Fibber, for a number of years. My parents bought him as a pup, and we had to put him to sleep, December 1997 at the age of 17, iirc.

Very sorry for your loss ... thoughts/prayers en route....
