  1. A great white whale emerged from her slumber, battery warmed up, took on a payload of fresh Tigerpaws, and trundled over to Costco to be re-shoed. First real trip out since November. It was a gorgeous day and she swims like a dream now. 75 mph and narey a vibration unlike the old shoes. She's running beautifully too. Can't wait to get her inspection done so I can drive her a lot more.

  2. Saw an eclectic mix of older cars this afternoon when I went to the beach. Saw a sharp 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Sublime Green w a black tail stripe and rear spoiler, a black '70 Chevelle Pro Street w/ huge rear tires, no hood and a big blower w/ scoop, a sharp black '50-51 Chevy sedan delivery, a Goodwood Green '67 Corvette, a clean silver blue w/ dark blue top early 80s Olds 98 4dr and a clean dark blue w/ dark blue top early 80s Olds 88 coupe.

  3. I get that they are offering a cheaper version to bring in the value customer, but reality is that the 64 kWh batter at over 450 Kilometers is what the average customer is going to want and expect. I can only imagine a few of the smaller battery being sold to inner city living folks that would never want to go to the suburbs or on longer road trips and if they do, probably will rent an auto then.

  4. The RST performance package adds $5,400 to the price of a Premier trim Tahoe, bringing the base price of a Tahoe RST 4x4 to $70k Assuming similar package prices for the Suburban, that puts the base price for a Suburban RST 4x4 at minimum $73,595. And if we wander over to the GMC page and take a look at a Yukon XL Denali 4x4 which has essentially the same hardware...... So the RST is just Chevy's version of Denali with more of a sport flare than a luxury flare. I think it's a good move and helps differentiate the brands. I won't be surprised if RST expands similarly to every Chevy that has a Denali trim on the GMC version.

  5. You might consider combining your hobbies; make really really heavy shoes and just lift those. Save some time.

  7. Ford is just too tied to its FSeries. And if they actually are able to hybridize their entire lineup, then there will be efficient utility options. I can see the dispeleasure, but in the end if they choose to kill of their sedans, well it might just be the best time to get a Fusion for a song. I’d get the Fusion Hybrid, because that’s actually the best Fusion available in terms of overall purpose, no EcoBoost false promise, and while the battery isn’t under the seats, the trunk still has a pass through. And the discounts plus decent FE make its cost of ownership competitive with newer midsize hybrids that get 3-5 mpg better.
