  1. AHEM... From Volvo's press release The first-generation C70 did not have a diesel option, but the second-generation did. But like @dfelt said and I agree with, most people have a short attention span and possibly don't remember any Volvo vehicles without a diesel.

  2. Volvo has it going on. Not a big fan of their infotainment based on my colleague's XC90, but the simple handsome lines in and out do it for me and this might be their best yet of late. I like that red paint on it too.

  3. Look dude it’s flat out ugly to me. Chevy will probably sell loads of these. But they gotta put the 2.7L turbo four in there to get even with the Edge ST.

  4. We don't pay tariffs to other countries for items exported from the US. The customers in those countries pay the tariff. We pay very few tariffs in this country and the ones we do pay are quite low unless you're trying to buy a truck from Germany...

  5. It is rather sad that our President is pursuing a policy that benefits few and hurts a lot of people here and abroad. And all of this is for what exactly? Since when is protectionism good policy? Since when is autarky good? I would say NEVER under any circumstances. Trade wars tend to beget shooting wars, so tread carefully and buy your next car sooner than later. Of course, the Chinese warned any who would listen: May you live in interesting times.

  6. The C70 had a diesel in EU. But yes, I'm sure somewhere in history there was a Volvo without a diesel engine. Perhaps its the first Volvo without a diesel since Chinese ownership? Something I've had to learn at work recently. Don't assume malicious intent.

  7. Well, it's not the first Volvo without a diesel option...I don't think the P1800 or C70 had a diesel version, for instance. A more accurate statement might be 'it's the first recent Volvo sedan without a diesel option', though.

  10. Not in 1948- article states that the unrestored one has 'crispy' wiring... IE; susceptible to shorts due to deterioration from being 70 years old. I know that well from the original wiring that WAS in my '40. Cloth wrapping gets brittle/dry and falls apart.

  11. This looks fantastic! Just visually, I would probably pick this over any of the competition.
