  1. LOST IN TRANSLATION, NOT A LOT OF ESCALA ON THAT CT5

  2. At least it's comfortable, with seat height. But yes, in infotainment world, GM's are not the best. I've found the more recent gens with CarPlay/Android are better than the messes the previous MyLink systems were (our last Terrain & Traverse, etc.) but nothing special. Simplicity and functionality with connectivity, and not confused, is key. Add CarPlay to Cadillac CUE...and try to adjust your audio vs. voice volume levels without wanting to punch the head unit and give up...haha. I need to do a review soon of each automaker's implementation of CarPlay/Android Auto. Again, driving so many brands for thousands of miles a piece...the integration of each is...very different. And noticeable day to day. Software, design, etc.

  3. A third grader needs to cobble together a photoshop of a CT5 with an actual trunk and send it to Cadillac. Maybe they'll get a clue.

  5. Oooo, a shame BMW just gave up on being class leading there. Tho to be accurate, toyota had an 8-speed before BMW did, so maybe they never were in this category. Consumers are like totally driven by numbers, totally, and more numbers are more betterer. Maybe, as a full-line mainstream mass production brand, BMW should invest a little money into building their own units. Ooops, that ship has sailed with the budget crunch in Munich. Actually, those other competitors far outsell the MB's models (at least the cam-cam does), so mercedes loses here. Consumers are like totally driven by numbers, totally, and more numbers are more betterer.

  6. Never in a million years. Audi can keep that nonsense.

  7. Gotta pay for the "municipal socialism" programs somehow. More to come in Seattle...

  8. So one question that has not been brought up, when we move to solid state denser power holding batteries that reduces the over all size of battery packs and sedans from Cadillac, MB, BMW, etc. go electric, could we like Tesla move to having a Frunk and Trunk that make up this size issue? If so, would people want a bigger trunk of a big Frunk pr a balance between the two? I truly believe that we can have bigger interior room and trunk / frunk size with EVs. Bolt does show this as I can fit in it and behind the seat in front that is set for me. ???

  9. Have to get something large like a Mustang, Yaris or Accent to get more cargo space.

  10. At that point you just move up to the next car. You can't have all the open space in a smaller car and expect it to be as roomy as their next vehicle up the ladder.

  11. Son loves it, drives it everywhere and has had zero issues. He informed me last night he is going to hold onto it long term as he approaches 3 years of ownership and is hitting almost 45,000 miles. Goes camping in it as he can fold down the back seat and lay flat with out folding up his legs. Loves his jeep and says he will own another one when he is ready. He was going to go black as he likes black auto's and his patriot he traded in to the dealer he bought here was black, but loves the rare Rhino color as you see black everywhere but not too many Rhino colors.

  12. • From what I read recently, Seattle specifically is seeing an explosion of homelessness, but that's not necessarily reflected nationwide. I believe Seattle is a 'sanctuary city', isn't it? • Has a 'correction' EVER reduced the debt? On the individual citizen level- it usually INCREASES it. Big Gov't is oblivious to controlling spending- boom or bust seems to have little effect on that.

  13. @Robert Hall I hope it's a good direction, whatever it may be. They are keeping the lid on this next design real tight. Meanwhile, the prospective solutions for Lordstown (previous home of the Cruze) will certainly not be a "one size fits all" solution. Some do not know and/or do not trust the possible new tenant, a manufacturer of electrical "mobility" products.

  14. Friend of mine just bought a CPO 2018 Audi. After the fact, they are offering them a 4yr all maintenance paid for only $1000. While sounds like a good deal, he sent me the PDF they sent him and am shocked at an auto line of products that has to have so much done in service every year. This alone makes Audi a NO GO for me no matter what even the electric as I see 1980's thinking here in service of an auto.

  17. But they already have that, the Durango. I could see something like this for the next refresh of the charger. Or do you mean something like this? Course they could go the V60 or V90 Crossover route but then just might as well bring back the Eagle.
