'33 Chevrolet Eagle. Thought it looked mid 30's you can tell by the door trim (shape and angle) mid door under the window and the sloping front fender, the wheels are spot on match too. I worked around a lot of classic cars and trucks years ago. https://classiccars.com/listings/view/1179549/1933-chevrolet-eagle-for-sale-in-cadillac-michigan-496012 points

Not everyone can wear a mask. I have realized that for my wife who has claustrophobia, that the mask adds heat to her face and does make it a bit harder to wear and she starts to as I say freak out a little bit. I have seen some people fully freak out and rip the mask off. So not everyone can use them especially asthma folks as the heated air is harder to breath than cooler air. It is going to be interesting to see how mask use goes over the next few years. I agree, that I can see as costs come down people having 1 of each. a ICE for longer road trips, hauling trailers, etc. EV for inner city / inner suburban driving with the ease of recharging at home every night.2 points

Well stocked wine cellar, about 900 bottles and a decent small batch liqueur cabinet.1 point

Own distillery as well?! And the GM'esque front air curtain side aero vents that you hate on the new Silverado and 'Sclade?1 point

@Zane Wylder My dream car is GT350, I was hoping to be able to buy a used one this or beginning of next year. However, with the huge cluster f@ck going on now, I might not be able to afford it. If that will be the case I probably will try to go for a Miata, but I would like to get a used ND and maybe turbo charge it later.1 point

True, though like the 90s, as there's something about an older car you can't get in a modern one, and just more easier to do DIY stuff to, even something as inane as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XITzHV1OPX4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ve1bKckJt4 Of course, if I find a MR2 that's solid, thats also part gonna be considered as well. Gonna test drive around July, see which one suits me1 point

LOL, very different toys. Off road or on road fun? I guess it is your preference. I think for the money you can get "newer" or in better shape Miata.1 point

I can't stand wearing a mask, if it's a good N95 that fits tight and can actually stop the virus from entering your airway then you can hardly breath and almost start asphyxiating yourself. A bandana or some sort of cloth can help, but I just can't stand masks of any kind, not claustrophobic just don't like crap on my face. I don't see masks being worn for a few years, it's only until they get a vaccine out within a year and I hear (my neighbor is a doc at the VA) that it will be like the seasonal flu once all the case data gets combined and released. There are all kinds of Coronaviruses out there that people have contracted and survived, this one is just tough on people with underlying conditions like diabetes or cardiovascular disease (congestive heart failure) those are the people that should be wearing masks to protect themselves. It still cracks me up when I see people wearing a mask and gloves while driving with the windows up and they're ALONE The only way for EV's to work is to have a home charging station like you said, you can't depend on public charging stations or that they'll be available when you get there, you can check apps like PlugShare that locates all brands of public station locations around the nation as long as the station is on the EVSE wireless network, but still not a guarantee. I never needed it working for Blink Network HQ'd here in Phoenix. I have a Level 2 240v 40amp home charging station (no EV currently) and I used our Corp. charging stations at work. I drove a company Chevy Volt that was actually kinda fun, pretty torquey dual traction motors, but I did miss the sound of the "real" ICE under the hood, the little 1.4L I4 (generator) engine sounded pretty much like a generator revving up and down randomly as it needed while on the hwy. I still think the Volt EREV was the best setup, no range anxiety with the gas motor and you could run either at anytime. Mine, she got 51 mpg combined, not too shabby with a lead foot like mine1 point

Too bad the Flex was never really updated for 2020 (especially their infotainment). Otherwise, it would still be selling as opposed to cancelled.1 point

Don’t worry, ICE is in no danger as a choice for quite a while. ? Charging and current cost is what it is currently keeping it slow(er). I think as lower options come along to power ( like maybe adding a solar panel to the garage to power the EV) these, people will start picking more up to drive. I’ve already noticed more Bolts and Model 3s around the motor city just within the last few months. But it is going to be a long gradual shift toward EV, and cheaper gas for those who like our ICE for a while.... I’d be happy with one of each.... ?1 point

Well the interesting part is that most of the automakers who are shooting more for EV may slowly roll back the turbos and return to some NA engines again to save cost as sales are not going to be pretty for a year or so. Rumors were floating that GM might bring back a few of the Ecotec engine line as optional engines in the CUV lineup... The interesting part is that some one those engines could get better MPGS and HP than the current turbos in there now...1 point

There are people who want to move into big cities because of the ambience and the amenities, but most big cities (NYC, San Fran, Seattle) have far too little housing to meet the existing demand. Hence gentrification in the last 15 years and rising rents. Eventually, some buildings will be rezoned residential and relieve the pressure of rising demand for in-city housing. If it requires a commercial real estate crash, so be it. They are not making anymore land anyways. The best thing big cities can do is rezone for more density once the Covid-19 pandemic fully subsides and people are looking for work and housing again.1 point

Then you might be interested in a Silverado 2500 HD hatchback with FWD and a 1.3L Ecotec. Unibody. With 4.5 inches ground clearance.1 point

That would be completely consistent with the Mustang v Camaro rivalry that dates back to 1967. I do wish GM had the guts to actually do just that.1 point

My 2010 G37S is at 192000 I have now 2016 Mazda 6 as my daily, will keep G for now as a "fun" car, it isn't worth much anyway but still runs great, and I really hope in 1-2 years I will be able to buy a used GT3501 point

I don't have a problem with the Mach E- AS LONG AS the Mustang coupe/covert remain, and remain IC. I'm going to scope out the Mach-E (not to buy) when it finally comes around. Likewise, I'd be fine with a CUV Camaro AS LONG AS the coupe/convert IC core models remain. In the past I would've cried 'heresy!' but perhaps the Camaro / Mustang just aren't that close to my automotive heart.0 points

EV were going to be a hard sell, that was a universal fact, even in our gung-ho economy before COVID. Once we come out of this, people are going to be more cautious than ever with their money, with EV facing an even steeper uphill battle due to their poor value per dollar.-1 points
