  1. For lack of a better word, I used mimic. Ironically, I wanted to shorten my response by trying to use one word instead of a whole paragraph. Me...of all people...wanting to shorten a response with less words used.

  7. The '68-69 Buick 2dr roofline is very similar to the '68-69 Chevelle...but the lower body is quite different, and the low rear wheel well cutline gave it a frumpy look. That formal roofline on the '70-72 Cutlass SX/Supreme was Olds' answer to the Monte Carlo and Grand Prix, IMO (without a longer wheelbase or other body differences).

  9. >>Oh; and how does one “drive a vehicle online”??<< This would be an answer of some sort, I guess... Add some accessories Maybe a VR set to make things a tad more 'realistic' And looksie here, he could even test drive the very 'first' automobile he so thinks it is...

  10. Sure, I have a computer and a phone. But I also always get a calendar from my GM dealer. And what a beautiful sight in terms of classic cars on it for the month of June. Voila: Come to think of it, for once, the Buick was the best looking of the Malibu-LeMans-Cutlass-Skylark fraternal quadruplets. The front and rear were clean and interesting enough. The side profile had nothing garish about it, including when closed up with a hardtop. And the dash had tasteful square bezels with small rounded corners. It came with quite a few engines. There were definitely 350s and 455s, but I learned that the 250 c.i. 6 was also available (read the fine print), possibly in down-line models. It would have theoretically been cool to have a purist convertible with the 6, no A/C, crank windows, buckets, console, gauges, and the alloy wheels shown ... as a hobby car. Nice car. Beautiful photo. Welcome to summer!

  11. You Italian, Me Greek. We both have a similarity here. Being concise and efficient with our words and a lack thereof. Both Italians and Greeks speak with their hands. Coincidence? I thinks its because Italians and Greeks have soooooo much to say, like ALL the time, with passion of course, that sometimes concise words escape us and with the help of our hands, we get our points across.

  12. ^^^ I always loved the way Pontiac shaped their hoods and front ends into the design to incorporate their arrowhead. Everything comes to a peak and a point. And the center of it all is that arrowhead that is the center piece of that middle point in the hood. And on the front end, that famous Pontiac beak nose would be front and center. And sometimes that beak nose would house that famous Pontiac arrowhead instead of the hood. LOVE IT!!!

  14. I think Tesla is working on a car smaller and cheaper than the Model 3 that will likely appeal to Europe and China as well. But they have to get Cybertruck and the Semi and Roadster all out. I don't think their R&D staff or manufacturing capacity can take on another volume car right now.

  15. I hear ya. It looks like it will be Tampa Bay and Colorado in the finals. I do want it to be Montreal versus Boston tho. For several reasons. 1. Boston is my team. 2. If Montreal wins, Ill scream in AGONY! I HATE the HABS! But... its MY city! 3. Just imagine what the games would be like. PURE hatred for one another. Pro sports most longest, heated rivalry and its for THE Stanley Cup. LAST time this happened was in the '50s when Boston played Montreal in the finals FOR the Cup.

  16. Interesting observation is that Mercedes-Benzes went on sale with their EQC and after two months of sales in the top 10 list, they dropped off for May. Makes one wonder about their tag line of Best or nothing at all! ?

  17. Well, here are some of their other videos' views. Yes, I also looked this up awhile back because I was curious how people are making money off YouTube, serious money. There's A LOT to consider when thinking about how much they make because this is now a job for them and they're expensing these things as well. Also, your numbers are assuming none of them do videos with other people and there's nothing given to them, and there are zero other sponsorships going on. Yes, it's rare and difficult to become a YouTube millionaire but it's also rare to get a million subscribers and videos with millions of views. I watched about 10 seconds of what you posted and those guys seem terribly annoying and I plan to never give them a single "view" of mine.

  18. Definitely, credit should not be taken away from the Avs. They likely would have won the series even if we were 100% healthy, but it would have at least been competitive. They look GOOD right now.

  22. @oldshurst442 You've covered them all! I'm going to disagree here. However, I liked one year of Cutlass during this 1968-1972 period. And it would have been the more formal coupe of 1970 - nice front end, nice side view, and nicer twin vertical lamps inset into the bumper on each side. One car my dad had, although a purist 1970Pontiac LeMans, was just like that GTO, but without all the bells and whistles. It had a 250 c.i. inline 6. That color, if I recall, was Bimini Blue, which I believe is in or near the Caribbean. Good call on Pontiac's blending the various C-pillar treatments. You are right in that the Skylark and Malibu coupe are almost too twinned. So, I think I still like the Buick coupe the most, closely followed by the Pontiac coupe. It saddens me that, to get a coupe from GM these days, the main offerings are the Corvette or the Camaro. It used to be raining coupes!

  23. @A Horse With No Name Here is another one. Remember...the fairytale made for Disney storyline from an NHL game that a 42 year old Zamboni driver suited up because of injuries to both goalies and played and won the game? Well...here it is This was last year...and low and behold...the Blue Jackets actually won AGAINST Toronto last year in the Covid shortened year when the league started up again in that pre-qualifying playoff round...] Yes...the Blue Jackets BEAT the Maple Leafs This is from 2013. And the actual game highlights PS: Im not only showing you how it aint that bad being a Blue Jackets fan, it could be worse...Im actually having FUN SHYTTING ON TORONTO at the same time!!!

  25. Yup. You just knew the fans would be ready to explode. 1st game back with full attendance. 1st game round 2 especially the way the Bruins disposed of Ovi and the Caps. All it took is their sniper to snipe a hat trick and any song would have done it in my opinion. It sucks that the Blues went down the way they did, but honestly, the Avs this year look like they will win it all. And yeah, hockey playoffs are THE most exciting of all the North American pro sports leagues.

  26. Of course Im gonna be the one to disagree about which A-Body is the looker of the four... OBVIOUSLY its the Oldsmobile Cutlass!!! You see, the Cutlass has a rounded pillarless C pillar And in 1970, had a slight hump over the rear wheels. Something the others did not have. The Pontiac's treatment was a mix of what Chevy and Buick done with their C pillar. While the Chevy and Buick really look like twins The front ends of the Chevelle, Skylark and Cutlass from 1970 on are really really similar as where Pontiac's front end is unique. But in 1969, the Malibu/Chevelle's C Pillar is most unique from all of them. Anyway, the GM A -Body 1968-1972 is such a beautiful car. In convertible and coupe form. Especially the fastback coupes!

  27. Not to take ANYTHING away from your pain being a Blue Jackets fan but... Just listen to this guy's rant. If you have watched the NHL only since 2004, you'd realize that Leafs fans have it worse. But if have have been an NHL hockey fan for ever, you'd realize that the Leafs hadnt won a Stanley Cup since 1967. Which would be the absolute worse drought of ANY North American pro league. The Red Sox beat their curse. The Cubbies have beat their curse. Hell, the Bruins have found a way to beat their arch rival who ALWAYS lost to the Canadiens have won 1 Stanley Cup while beating the Habs on way for that Stanley Cup... The Blue Jackets are still a new franchise per se. But even they have had MORE play off success than the Maple Leafs... EDIT: I just saw this video. THIS dude pisses on EVERY North American sports LEague teams. THIS guy is GREAT! I havent watched the video yet so I have NO idea what he said about these shytty Leafs, but Im sure if we both watch it, we will BOTH agree that The Jackets are alright compared to the the Leafs. Poor Torontonians. The RAPTORS have a chance to win another championship and still be better than thee Maple Leafs. The BLUE JAYS are steaming hot this year and they too, could win another championship. Yet the Leafs, are still at the bottom of the play off barrel.
