No point in trying to 'modernize' the styling, it's considered a classic...like other models that change slowly and evolve over decades. They have the GLS for those that want a 'modern' looking luxury SUV.3 points

Many would say the G-wagen is the best looking SUV on the market. Used G-wagens are selling for $150-200k right now, that's the most sought after SUV right now. And because it has no rival really, it's midsize, way smaller than any other expensive SUV, and it is way better off road than any other expensive SUV, and it has the iconic look. They essentially made the Lamborghini Countach of SUV's, it is the most head turning USV, but unlike Lamborghini who killed the Countach off (only to bring it back 30 years later), Mercedes just kept on building it.2 points

Solid old bird. Local FB marketplace. My life is overly complicated right now, the last thing I need is a Dog, a motorcycle, or another vintage car. Chances of avoiding one of the three....not good. This would look better with different/stock rims....but solid old T-Bird. Listing... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/638275820634115/?ref=browse_tab&referral_code=marketplace_top_picks&referral_story_type=top_picks&tracking={"qid"%3A"-7445773511443341994"%2C"mf_story_key"%3A"565423920607993354"%2C"commerce_rank_obj"%3A"{\"target_id\"%3A565423920607993354%2C\"target_type\"%3A6%2C\"primary_position\"%3A0%2C\"ranking_signature\"%3A5810536284094988288%2C\"commerce_channel\"%3A501%2C\"value\"%3A0%2C\"upsell_type\"%3A21%2C\"grouping_info\"%3Anull}"} Motor could use a stock air breather assembly and a good detail. Or if you prefer red... For Balthazar, vintage dealership pic from Newark Ohio....in a T-Bird frame of mind.2 points

We will be hiking Thursday somewhere up near Cleveland. Wife hs not decided exactly where yet. That is amazing. Cue the 5 page C and G discussion about Hooker and Blow being ICE or EV. If Electric is good enough for Hitachi,m It's good enough for Hooker and Blow.2 points

I saw my first Bronco a could weeks ago in person and they're a lot larger than I expected overall. Those ^ wheels and tires look aftermarket but probably not a whole lot different than the OEM options. Those market adjustments are absurd and I hope they sit on it until they have to bring it down to MSRP or even discount it for being over a year old.1 point

Yeah, I still think this will sell just fine. Well, the G-Wagen was all-new in 2019. I don't think it's out-dated as of 2019.1 point

Re: the '74 Caprice above--I like how the '75 Bel Air and '75 Impala used the '74 Caprice front end but with a different grille pattern.. And the '75 Caprice had a very different front, which I don't like as much as the Impala--I prefer the bumper on the Impala w/ the offset license plate. Then in '76, the Bel Air and Impala got the '74 Caprice front but with a different grille.. And lastly, the '76 Caprice got rectangular headlights and a different grille..1 point

I've seen a few W/GWs in traffic and parked at a distance, I like the front, but the sides are too flat/slab sided...needs some creases, IMO. I don't like the body color around the side windows, would look better with black pillar trim between the windows like on the GC, IMO... And as usual with Jeeps, most seem to be white (yawn...I hate white SUVs).1 point

^^^ I would have, but Robert beat me to it! Celine did a cover of her song that I preferred over hers. Celine's version was all over the radio here, and I think all over North America too. Great memories with Celine's version. Until Youtube comes along and teaches me that a lovely lady named Jennifer Rush had written and performed this song first in 1984. Which also became my favorite version really really quick. But all three singers are great and do a great job performing it.1 point

I love that! The real funny thing about that is that Heath ledger's Joker would actually say that. Its in character. Other times, memes like this are funny, but not in character. Whomever thought of that is not only a funny guy, but genius enough to equate it to Heath Ledger's Joker! And about that Chevy. Just a minor correction. Its a Caprice, not an Impala. The grill defines it. Caprice grill is more fine with the bowtie on top of the grill Love those what I believe to be torq thrust wheels Impala Grill is more eggcrate-ish and the turning lamps are integrated on the front fins with the side marker as opposed to being in the headlight section only and the front fins just having the side marker on the Caprice. Not forgetting that the bowtie on the Impala is in the middle of the grill. My dad had a '74 Impala coupe. Red with white vinyl top. Im trying to find a picture of it so I could post it. I know I have it somewhere. Ive been trying to find it since the last time I mentioned my dad owned one. Which would be a year, year and half ago. But enjoying the fact that you agree with me that this generation Chevy is a good looking car!1 point

The Wagoneer isn't the top, this is the Tahoe/Expedition competitor, the Grand Wagoneer is the Escalade/Navigator competitor. This looks more minivan than it does Jeep. But will be curious to see how it sells compared to the other big SUVs, as this is price territory that Jeep hasn't been in. The Grand Wagoneer is priced $10k above the Escalade and Navigator. I don't know if the Jeep brand is strong enough to go north of $100k, but I guess we are about to find out if this is the next Escalade, or the next Chrysler Aspen.1 point

It's like you canb't win, because union contractors have lots of problems....but lots of non union contractors are really shakey, at least here in Ohio. The games exployers/contractors play is one huge reason I work for a University and not out in the field, have not worked out in the field for almost 9 years now. Mellow take on an old favorite. Posted this on my FB time line, just like the picture. Teaching my firned Sean to turn, this is his bowl. From Zaleski Forest, where we like to hike. Abandonded Baltimore and Ohio manline is an interesting, alternate trail to the left in this picture. From my Recent Fort Lauderdale trip. Yours truely.1 point

• Musk says a lot of things that subsequently get reversed. • At this point, I'm not sure money is a prime motivating factor for Musk. • He may not have an incentive to provide a discount, but Hertz sure does. I'd like to learn about the eventual signed contract. It may be the length of time to produce so many (how many years?) will be a defacto discount, if a per-unit price is locked in & prices rise every 1-2 months for...ever. In fact, I bet that's exactly the 'work around' at word play here. • Although demand is strong, long-term effects of continually jacking prices isn't going to sit well with the mainstream, the bulk of who's consumerism approach centers around Amazon & Walmart. Right now he's catering only to a niche market.1 point

Yet the world's largest BE OEM raises prices to consumers nearly monthly. Frankly, I only care what the manufacturer's costs are if -and only if- they're passed on to me.1 point
