First real snow of the season. Jeep is safe and warm in the garage, not going anywhere. Snow started about 6 pm last night, still coming down.

The reality is SAD because a lot of buyers are settling for Toyota when they are no longer the leader in quality. Simply put, Toyota is living off a reputation that is no longer true. What is even sadder is that fewer people are buying GM vehicles than ever. While mediocrity at GM has diminished, sales numbers do not reflect the new reality. To a lot of people, when in doubt, buy the Toyota. SAD.

In ‘94 I was in a ‘65 Bonneville hardtop the first half of the year, then bought my only other new vehicle- ‘94 F-150 XL.

Hmmm..Saturday night, January 1994...probably would have been either in a bar in Kent, Oh w./ grad school friends, at a bar in the Flats in Cleveland w/ those same friends, or in a computer lab on the Kent State campus w/ some of those same friends, working on projects...was about to finish my master's degree, and a few months later (June) moved to Ann Arbor, Mi for my 2nd round of grad school. I had my '86 Mustang LX 2.3 w/ snow tires on it then, the '87 Mustang GT would have been at the family farm in the barn. Would have been listening to a lot of Pink Floyd, early 90s grunge (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, etc) and industrial (Nine Inch Nails) then, with some Tori Amos in the mix.

That 'certain group' is called "hypocrites", and absolutely every adult age group has 'em.

Add to this the certain group of folks that pound the drum about buy Made in America and yet they themselves buy Asian or European. Interesting that in this time of that drum pounding, key high visible individuals are double standards.
