Phrasing was wrong..was thinking of the poor quality..poor fit and finish... though some of the engineering is certainly questionable, like the 'self driving' feature that is crash prone, etc....they are too complex for their own good..2 points

Yeah...sometimes its the little details, an accent here and there, a colour combo, a detail that jumps right at you, that makes a huuuuuuge difference in the look and feel to a watch that draws us to it.2 points

As a fellow F1 fan, Red Bull is sponsored by Tag and therefore you'll see Max throwing on a Monaco after every race. There's also a Gulf livery Monaco. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the square case/dial but it is pretty iconic.2 points

I was thinking... Since all those three above are on the same platform, and used the same V8...which Ferrari lent them... And since Dodge is also part of Stellantis, being corporate brothers with Alfa... Maybe Dodge could use that platorm as well, and share the EV powertrain to make a new Viper.Squint a little and from this angle, a Viper could be seen. You could tell the front fenders are slithery. Not much work need there. The roof top could be worked to be more snakey. The back end is just as slithery. The wing of the Vipers could work well with the top rear of the Alfa. Just the lights need to be worked on to have some of the Viper's DNA. Original Viper GTS and the body work almost has an Italian flair to it. Which translated to the last Viper as well. But Dodge could ditch the scissor style doors. Not the first time would it be for Dodge and Alfa become brothers The TZ3 Stradale was a Viper underneath. An ev revival to the Viper is necessary I think!2 points

Always liked Tag Heuers, back when I wore watches looked at them closely...the problem with many higher end watches is tend to be large and not look good on my skinny wrists... (I've been told I have a Mr Potato Head physique..). Back in the 00s had a coworker who I think had a watch addiction..he was buying new watches constantly, from a variety of brands..I think he had about 200 watches in 2005.. I've always liked silver watches with blue backgrounds, like this Tag Formula 1 (plus being an F1 fan makes this appealing). I have a Skagen that is nice and thin and the same color scheme. I like this new Timex Pam Am tribute...love the classic Pan Am logo and the plane motif...2 points

@Drew Dowdell has already explained how its virtually impossible for Tesla to produce 20 million cars in one year. And year after year after that. Actually sell 20 million in one year to customers is even MORE impossible. Especially for Tesla... In 1965. WORLD WIDE CAR PRODUCTION was aprox. 20 million units. GM had aprox. 50% US market share in 1965. JUST about the most it has ever had. GM touched just about 51% US market share in 1961. US car production was aprox 10 million units in 1965. Slightly less but all numbers rounded for my numbers to work nicer. GM had a GLOBAL market share of 5 million on 20 million = to aprox. 25% GLOBAL market share. Elon wants...does NOT mean Elon will get. Its a fairlytale. Elon says Tesla is capable of 20 million units sold? In the 2020s...aprox. global production slowed to 60 million units. It did hit a high of 70 some odd million. Anyway, keep numbers round for easy computation. Elon wants 20 million units out of 60 million. THAT is 33% GLOBAL market share... WTF???!!!! GM at its HIGHEST couldnt hit that much and GM in 1965 was a force that Elon could only DREAM of. And HE could dream big. VERY big. GM done those numbers with MANY brands and ALL brands were firing on ALL cylinders. EACH brand had models that were hotter than the next. Literally hundreds of models across 6 or 7 or 8 brands (6 of them in North America) with ALL kinds of trim levels and engine configs and when the WORLD didnt have as many car makers as it has today... Elon wants 28%-33% GLOBAL market share on the strength of 4 now ancient models, 1 useless pick-up truck, one vaporware Roadster and a phantom 30 000 dollar MSRP Model 2? The Semi production run is inly 50 000 units...Elon projected. So that wont be enough to include in the 20 million unit dream. Yes...many OEMs WILL go under. But the big ones wont. GM, Hyundai (which IS the biggest company in the world), Toyota, VW. Ford will not go under. Mercedes might go under. But 2-4 million units per year and some of those buyers will go to Tesla. But some will go to GM and Hyundai and VW etc... The pie will not magically split up and Tesla will swallow it up. NOT on 4 ancient models. Tesla will have to spend LOTS of BILLIONS to get NEW platforms. And THOSE future models do NOT guarantee success both engineering wise and market share wise. Especially when the world right now is producing EVs... 33%???!!! Stellantis might lose a brand. GM might lose Buick. VW might lose Audi. Toyota might lose Lexus. Hyundai might KIA. Ford might lose Lincoln. But all those OEMs will not lose market share to Tesla. Those OEMs have built-in customers that date back 120 years. It took GM 60 years to get that brand loyalty to dominate in 1965. Tesla has made a dent...in the EV world. Tesla is MINISCULE in the grand scheme of car making things. Tesla has a huuuuge competition problem and the EVs presented by the others are decent EVs. Tesla is not 1965 GM. Tesla is huuuuuge with brand recognition. But even if that, Tesla is not GM of 1965.1 point

I LOVE Phil Kessel!!! The Toronto Maple Leafs, the fans and the media made fun of him, something or tother about hot dogs... ran him out of town but the man...WON 3 STANLEY CUPS!!! HE..is the NHL record holder AND leader for the ironman streak that is STILL going on today! The Bruins fans...in Boston, and me just a little admittedly, used to chant "Thank-You Kessel" whenever he stepped on the ice...because well...Boston got the #2 pick because of him leaving for Toronto. But that #2 pick aint in Boston. Hadnt been IN Boston for a damn while. Only helped us get 1 Cup. Never got another Cup and got chased out of Boston. Kessel...has TWO Cups with Pittsburgh and ONE with Vegas. I LOVE PHIL KESSEL!!! I would have LOVED to see a Boston Bruins team with these fellas on it at the same time: Phil Kessel Taylor Hall Marc Savard In addition to: Patrice Bergeron Brad Marchand David Krejci Milan Lucic David Pastrnak1 point

EXACTLY!!! I wanted somebody to point that out so I could say this: Tesla does not need to produce a 30 000 dollar model BECAUSE the Model Y sells at a VERY high rate just BEING at the price that it is. There is NO incentive for Tesla to produce a 30 000 dollar model because they already HAVE a bread and butter, high volume HIT on their roster. Two models at that. To spend BILLIONS on a NEW platform does NOT make any sense either. The Model 2 would just goggle up sales from the Model 3 and Model Y JUST like how the Model 3 and model Y gobbled up sales from the Model S. And so they wont. Tesla is better off with spending those billions on a NEW Model 3 and Model Y. Keep the price tags as they are. Tesla has their niche and their fans. They do NOT need to go downmarket. Their MSRP market is doing JUST fine where they are. A little side note: Funny how the Model S is NEVER spoken about today when talking about Tesla and THAT is what Tesla was ALL about even just 3 years ago... (Minus the vaporware hooplah like the Cybertruck or roadster...) The Model S is just a speed comparo with the enthusiasts. The Model S is not on anybody else's radar...1 point

just because they could, doesn't mean they should. They're constantly battling a maximum production to demand ratio (like every company does). If they could drop the MSRP to 25k and had 10,000,000 units of demand they'd just lose money because they could not produce enough to meet demand and the margins would be waaay tighter by dropping the price that much. The D3 trucks supposedly have crazy margins on them but they're not dropping the prices to 30-50k. I've never heard of poor engineering from Tesla. They have poor fit and finish but I've never heard of them having poorly engineered vehicles.1 point

Tesla be spendin' billions on a new Model 2 platform to ensure a 30 000 dollar MSRP? Tesla been producin' what is now to be an old platform on the Model 3 and STILL cant afford to drop the Model 3 is MSRP to 30 000 dollars. Surely, the Model 3/Model Y platform has been paid off right about now to undercut its current MSRP to sink and drown its competition, right? So the idears is to spend billions on a NEW platform, when Tesla STILL hasnt figured out HOW to economy of scale anything, sure Munroe likes to tell us that Tesla has an up and down integrated system...but yet Tesla STILL hasnt figured out to economy of scale all their cars, Tesla hasnt figured out to produce effeciently yet, but spending billions on another platform will garner a 30 000 dollar Model 2... When right now, they could offer Joe Public a 30 000 dollar Tesla. 2 in fact!!! Yeah...I said RIGHT NOW!!! These 2. Offer a bare bones software package on them, call them the classic Model 3 and Y when the refreshed Model 3 and Y go on sale later this year... This is a supposed new Model Y VW done that plenty of times when introducing new Golfs... They call them City. Just an idea. Maybe Elon will see this a send a royalty check my way...1 point

Speaking of F1 and watches, I love Lewis Hamilton's gloves with their own watch sponsor, IWC, printed on it. He has multiple colors of these gloves with different IWC watches, too! I LOVE that branding/product placement. It's such a great idea.1 point

We're all weird with certain things. I'm no different. While I love a diver-style watch but I think a stainless care with a stainless bezel looks cheap and crappy to me, regardless of how nice and/or expensive the watch is. While i love this Tudor Black Bay, I think it looks horrible with the stainless bezel while looking near perfect with the blue bezel.1 point

I believe that's more of a Tag issue, not a luxury watch issue. Tags do tend to be larger and bulkier. That is not a luxury watch thing, that's a Tag thing. There are PLENTY of 36-40mm watches out there from "luxury" brands that aren't chunky or bulky. I, too, am a HUGE fan of stainless with blue dials! That tends to be my go-to every time I look at watches. I also tend to wear a lot of blue that that combination would go well with.1 point

I wanna know who's generation likes and WANTS this kind of shyte and gets entertained by it???!!! It cant be the phoquing boomers??? Is it MY gen. The Gen Xers???!!! Its cant be the millennials or the Z gen. These things are waaaaaaaaay too expensive for them... At least this what the popular word on the street is. This is what we are led to believe that most of them whine that there are no jobs and its tough for them to buy shyte. Shyte like houses... It might as well BE them that ask for this idiocy as I also heard these phoquers dont want to drive...they like their phoquing phones better!!!! Let me explain: I went to the Ford dealership a couple of days ago to set yet another appointment for yet *SIGH* another recall on the Fusion... double *SIGH* This is when I jumped into a Bronco that was in the showroom floor. To my horror...and reaction: When I saw what greeted me when I sat down...where the SPEEDOMETER IS SUPPOSED TO BE!!! Is this what has become of our society? That we need phoquing pictures and photograghs on little screens? Who the phoque decided that a picture where the speedometer is supposed to be is such a great idea that will entertain us when we...drive? Are we phoquing little children that we need this shyte? As a welcome when we get into our car? The Fusion has this Ford start up thing going on. I guess expensive cars greet you by name. If memory serves me right, Tesla does it... I repeat...are we children???!!! I HATE IT!!!! I dont want ANY pictures of wild horses on the big screen and I dont want pictures of rivers where the phoquing speedometer is supposed to be. I just want a phoquing speedometer, a tach at the most. Little idiot lights could be on a TV screen. Any of that could be on a TV screen. I want REAL phoquing buttons to change the temp and radio station in my car. I dont want all the other little shyte that we have today. I just want to DRIVE the phoquing thing. I dont want anything else... Is THIS the reason why cars go up in price? For unnecessary bullshyte like that???!!! Please make it go away?1 point

I like that Gulf Livery watch...a very LeMans endurance racing theme instead of F1..1 point

What's with the face??? Its a tribute to Burt Reynolds. The watch from one of his movies that he wore and his movie cars. Mainly the Trans Am. I dont understand where the EV smugness comes from regarding an EV Trans Am? I dont understand the connection you wanna make with it? But...you are more than wlecomed to post not only an EV Trans Am, but any car you would want to post. EV or otherwise...1 point

Those are cool themed watches for sure!!! And while Tag's hue of blue for the Formula One is a classy choice lending itself in being a very nice watch, this is where my philosophy of staying classy goes haywire. (Not too take anything away from your watch choice @Robert Hall, but showing you guys how my twisted mind works sometimes) Ive mentioned several times that I dont like gaudy watches or saying things like a gentleman stays humble and doesnt reveal his watch etc... But like my colour choices in muscle cars and exotics and actually, exotic hyper cars not being my thing... I somteimes veer away from that "righteous" path and say shyte like: Sure, that Formula One Tag with a blue face is classy but in my funky world BECAUSE its a Formula One themed watch, I think Id like a more flashy Formula One Tag: The face has got the same blue hue, but with more pizzaz. Extra complications and a gulf livery stripe to it. Why would I contradict myself like that? Because I dont know... In my head, Formula One is extravagantly rich and arrogant. A watch that is based on that entity needs to copy that. With that being said, that Pan Am Timex is PERFECT!!! Id rock that watch and wear it daily!1 point

The EV technology is changing so fast, it seems prudent to lease as what is new today will be obsolete or dated soon... As far as my next vehicle, it will either a replacement for my '14 Jeep or a luxury sedan to supplement it. I don't really need a new vehicle anytime soon, though...Jeep only has 76k and is running fine.1 point

It is funny how in olden days automakers looked at lightening vehicles for performance and/or efficiency, but with EVs the weight is irrelevant...1 point

Tesla wants to sell 20 million car per year, which would be 25-30% of the global market. They can't do that with 4 models, or with the 4 they have and the Cybertruck and a low volume roadster. They have to have a volume car that can be sold in Europe, South America, China, Southeast Asia etc that are shopping in that price point. And they are doing new Model 3 and Y also because they need that volume to keep increasing. Tesla for the first half of 2023 has generated more net profit than GM or Ford, they have the money to expand.0 points

GM can't make a profit on a $100,000 EV, will be a while before they can make a profit on a $20,000 EV. The Model Y outsells any vehicle GM has worldwide, and every GM vehicle except the Silverado in the USA. And the Model Y is closing that gap, the Cybertruck will sell as fast as they can make them for years, 1.8 million reservations and they probably won't hit a 375,000 a year run rate until 2025 maybe even 2026.0 points
