  2. Took the Caddy in for it's first service since I've had it. 60k service...oil change, tire rotation, spark plug changed, etc. Only one small issue--a crack and small leak in the washer fluid reservoir..they have to order the part. Running great otherwise...put 5300 miles on it 9 months.

  5. WoW, Chery Automotive of China is wanting to show that their EVs are 5 star crash safe for the occupants. The harshest crash test is the U-Turn crash test where two autos hit the U-Turning auto in off setting corners. Safety to the occupants with minimal degradation of the body is pretty impressive here. @trinacriabob You might get a faster crossing if this does get approved to be built. 10. @surreal1272 @Robert Hall @ccap41 The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has the following weight specifications: Curb weight: 5,080 lbs. Maximum towing capacity: 13,200 lbs. Maximum payload: 1,990 lbs1. Gross weight: 7,000 lbs Per GM authority 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV Specifications Curb weight: 8,350 to 9,100 depending on model Maximum Towing capacity: 10,000 to 12,000 lbs depending on model Maximum payload: 1,500 to 1,700 lbs depending on model Gross weight: NO DATA SUPPLIED at this time via Chevrolet site or any other site I could find. Solid state is showing that the size of the battery pack will be reduced by half, but it will never get down to the weight of an ICE truck in the next few years IMHO.

  11. ^^^ I think the last pic is an AI generated picture. YUCK!!! I mean, if it is one, its a GREAT image, the technology is both awesome and scary. Very real. But fake...and that is the yuck part of it all. The fakeness. I like REALITY.

  13. Sad, so SAD that we as humans cannot all use our brains to talk out our differences and instead due to greed, Narcissistic personalities have to resort to killing one another. History is repeating itself sadly as we enter another failed period of Fascist ruling.

  14. @G. David Felt Sorry David, but the plane on top would be the airplane from the Expendables movie. The second one in the franchise. It would be the Canadair CL 215. A waterbomber that fights fires. My dad worked at Canadair for 40 years. Now Canadair is under the Bombardier Aerospace name. And he worked on the CL 215 both in production and later the head engineer in quality control. The airplane I posted earlier today is the Martin Mars. Another water bomber and it took its final flight this summer. It landed on a lake in British Columbia somewheres to be retired in a museum there. At least I think that is the plan. That particular plane and the models themselves are no longer flying. But the Bombardier CL 215 became the CL 415 and then Bombardier Aerospace sold the rights to a company named Viking to which they will continue on building them as the Viking 515 with new modern avionics in. As many countries fly it to fight their forest fires. The CL 215 was updated to the 415 in the 1980s with then modern avionics but the 515 will have modern modern 2020s avionics. The Cl 215 is a design from the 1930s. It had the Canso PBY as inspiration and a mentor. In the first movie, the airplane was a Grumman HU-16 Albatross.
