  1. Oh please, the excitement thread was one of the best this site has ever had.
  2. Here's hoping. I've always liked SAAB, and was sad to hear the deal fall through. But as long as SAAB is still around, and kept with a party that "gets" it and doesn't just use it as a dumping ground for its own vehicles, I'm OK.
  3. +1 I like this. N00bs might struggle for about 5 minutes...but we're an enthusiast site, and at the very least a n00b will experience a "teachable moment."
  4. So...what? A built-in phone? Please, with hands-free laws proliferating, I'm with smk on the nav.
  5. I know it's available in Europe--I'm specifically referring to the US Version, which is the subject of this topic. Usually GM unveils optioned-out images at launch, so that's why it's curious the fog lamps aren't present on the launch image.
  6. "Given the amount of acrimony between you and many of our long-term members and moderating staff, I think any discussions about our joint OUTLOOK should be shelved indefinitely." OR "A serious discussion would definitely do us both good; you would get a clear, final answer ("No"), and we will not be hearing from you anymore since the issue has been definitively settled. Win-win." Or a combination of the above two. Either way, he'll probably need to consult a dictionary. ETA: One last one: "Mercedes-Benz made a mistake in its 'merger of equals' with Chrysler, and so we want to learn from them and avoid repeating past drama."
  7. First off, WOW! This is GM's best-looking compact since the Corvair, IMO. Now, PLEASE tell me that fog lamps are an available option!! Those plastic covers are tacky, marring an otherwise awesome design. ETA: Eh, not sure how I feel about the rear window treatment. That quarter window is...interesting.
  8. You get it.
  9. Back on topic... Read this book: http://www.amazon.com/Success-Dummies-Business-Personal-Finance/dp/0471799556/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1259215575&sr=8-3
  10. From a design standpoint it's not bad at all. Put leather inside and make sure it has premium options and I don't think it would be out of place in the NA market at all.
  11. Oh good grief. Well, it will be very interesting to see what news comes out over the course of the next few weeks...
  12. Disagree. There is NO WAY IN HELL the Accord is more tapioca than the Camry--NO WAY.
  13. Croc

    Alcohol!!!

Thanks for the update. Cool story bro.
  14. 4 users with the same obnoxious avatar? Great.
  15. I didn't say that.
  16. Take the decals off and the design IMO was stronger. I didn't say the Firebird was conservative. I said I "even" liked it better. I'm NOT the target buyer for either model.
  17. HAHA! I'll be back in Hoosierville for a few short days, and then back to Eden.
  18. Yes. And Mazda is sold along with Lincoln-Mercury and Ford.
  19. Taurus won't be any more/less expensive than a Chevy Cruiser. Both are unibody, both will have different expenses. The Ford with its turbos will save on gas, so it will probably cost less in day-to-day vs. the Chevy, but the Taurus will require more inventory and stock for repairs, and repairs in general will likely be a bit more expensive.
  20. Only because you asked, I've always found the Camaro to be a bit vulgar. Love the Corvette, but the Camaro has just never had any real appeal to me. I even liked the Firebird better than the Camaro.
  21. Absolutely Mazda belongs there--they're owned by Ford.
  22. I'm with Satty. I'd personally never be caught dead in a Camaro, but I won't go raining on all of your parades about it.
  23. So you probably just shouldn't have driven at night with that condition. I find the image of a child in camo crawling on his stomach in the middle of a street somewhat amusing due to the absurdity of it all. I mean seriously, did you call child protective services after that? I would have...
  24. Soft lenses for the win. Try the night/day lenses--30 days, don't have to take them out at night. I've never had hard lenses, but I can only imagine how they'd amplify things. Well, my Aurora's are mounted low on the bumper, but mine are on at night for maximum visibility, especially when the marine layer rolls in. Front fogs are always on, again for visibility purposes. And by that I mean so OTHER people see ME.
