  1. The headlight seems weird to me, reminds me of the ugly headlights on the Fords. I really hope I like one of the versions GM puts out. Right now I really like the GMC look of the truck over the Chevy. Be interesting to see how they differentiate them this time.
  2. So in rereading this, I missed where the push back is due to the DOE freezing the majority of their 529 million loan since they were not ready to build the Karma which was a requirement in the loan by a specific date. They also mention they had done tremendous cleanup to the GM plant they bought and yet searching on the web seems to imply they have done nothing to the site to get it ready for auto production. The amount of grey stories on Fisker makes me think this is another one of those fly by night to steal half a billion dollars from the public. I am very happy that the DOE is making them have to honor the delivery dates before they can get anymore money.
  3. Or relocate her to be closer by you, never know she just might enjoy the change and getting away from crazy brother. Not likely to happen..she has no interest in leaving the 'farm' (150 acres in the woods on a lake in E. Ohio)--been there 44 years, even moved back full time there after wintering in Florida for 15 years. And she likes our brother more than my sister and I... OUCH! To the likes the Sister and brother more than me. That hurts. We'll then stay in touch and enjoy your life. Not much else you can do.
  4. Cubical, as I said to drew applies to you. Wish you safe travels and staying healthy.
  5. So many cool videos of police chases. Amazing some of the dumb things people do while driving. Truly they should not be behind the wheel. I agree with your statement, I did not think Red would be my color but then I became the owner of a Beatuiful Redish 2008 Trailblazer SS and I love it with the metalic and deep dark red color. Thank goodness it is not fire engine red. I do like this redish ruby color and I have seen it on a few corvettes.
  6. Or relocate her to be closer by you, never know she just might enjoy the change and getting away from crazy brother. Very Cool, seems the late 60's moving onward people change unless they have always lived their life by charging forward. Good luck with her as she hopefully enjoys her golden years for a long time.
  7. Too Funny looking at the photo's again, I see they actually had a tow harness bolted to the bumper. What Moron uses a camero to tow with. Silly stupid rednecks.
  8. I assume they all were petite like you Drew being in the 5'6" height crowd. While the Cruze is a nice auto and I take nothing away from it. I could not take it on a long road trip as I would be cramping up in the 2-3hr range unlike my Full size SUV's where I can drive for 18hrs straight except for stopping to gas up. Please don't take away 4" I'm 5'10" My Uncle is 6'3", he's fine in his Focus hatch. Another co-worker is 6'1" and has a Focus hatch also. Co-worker who sits across from me is 6'4" and drives the wheels off his Mini-Cooper. I assume you're 7'9" if you can't fit in one of these? Sorry, Did not mean to take away any height from anyone, for some reason I thought you were 5'6" tall. I am glad to see that some tall people are able to get into the auto. For me I wonder if they are more long body and shorter legs and arms as I am the opposite with shorter body but very long legs and arms so for me, it is always about how far back I can get the seat so I do not feel like Origami in the drivers seat. This usually means no one can sit behind me. This was the one draw back on my CTS, No one can sit behind me.
  9. Cadillac denies that vehemently So the CTS = Cadillac Touring Sedan is correct?
  10. This is way too funny. Sent it out to family as there are a few members that seem to thrive on trying to tell the rest how to live and what you can and cannot do. This sums it up in one clear note!
  11. David

    Whoa

I totally agree, invite them both over for dinner and let them know your running a science experiment that you would like their help with. Then build a whole list of nice fuzzy warm adjectives and find out if they are true or not!
  12. WOW, My how big he is and your right totally screwed!
  13. I remember seeing this posted along time ago in a movie thread. Too funny that someone is trying to now make this look like a new story.
  14. That is too freak-in funny but true as I have seen everyone of them the few times I have gone. I hate to admit it, but I think we all go as they do have good prices on stuff.
  15. Just glad your mother is OK. I have entered that same time of having to deal with my 72 and 68 year old parents and the last few years they have changed so much from the charging parents I grew up with to being scared of so many things.
  16. I can understand be sentimental about something, but people also need to be realistic. Just because you can throw the money at it and rebuild it does not mean it is wise and smart thing to do.

  18. LTS? That's the letter combination they trademarked IIRC... LTS = Luxury Transport Sedan?????? Luxury Touring Sedan? Like how DTS was Deville Touring Sedan, STS was Seville Touring Sedan, ATS is A Touring Sedan, CTS is Cadillac Touring Sedan, and XTS is Xtreme Touring Sedan... Sad that they have lost all creativity in the naming department.
  19. Yeah road salt's not fun, but the rust is pretty much all limited to suspension parts not the body itself. Those struts are most likely 12 years old with 210k on them, so I'm not surprised they look the way they do. I'll be doing the other side next day I have off, I only had the time yesterday to get the broken one replaced. Gone are the days when the sun was still up at 8pm. As an aside, for anyone who uses Haynes/Chliton manuals as a guide, take their torque specs with an enormous grain of salt. They call for the small link to strut nut to be torqued to 75 ft-lbs! That's more than the torque spec for the much larger link to bar nut. A check with the FSM confirms that it should only be 17 ft-lb! Maybe they are trying to drive part sales so it keeps people employed.
  20. WOW, Glad to hear she is OK Ocn. Has she thought of moving someplace else or maybe into something a bit more solid than a trailer? I always wonder why the homes in the mid west are not built more often with a in ground level so there is a protected place to go to. Also why allow trailers when the destruction is so bad. I just figure there has got to be a safer more stable housing structure for everyone that would be reasonably priced due to the storms and the need for something so solid.
