Age Demographics: Car Brands with the oldest buyers
G. David Felt replied to Cmicasa the Great's topic in Industry News
Agreed, we need to stop all the socialist crap of having graduations for getting out of 5th grade, 6th grade etc. Stop saying everyone is a winner. Competition is and always will have winners and loser's. FACT! We need generations that will compete to be the best not accept mediocrity of society and feel everyone should be the same. Communism and Socialism are failures. Hybrid is what it is as Pure capitalism also fails. Some safety nets are needed but short term and by all means knock off the you can live on the gov crap. -
Mini News: Poor MINI Sales Due To Late EPA Certification
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in MINI
Excuses, Excuses, they have already fufilled Mini faithfull demand. Now they are trying to figure out how to sell the same auto on a different message when most people that want small micro compacts have them. I do not see the release of 2015 models causing that big of a sales jump.- 1 reply

Ford Earnings and Sales - New CEO issues or true wait and see?
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Opinion
So Drew then do you think this is his legacy of where he left product and sales? If so that would tend to tell me that he did not do a very good job of building a bullpen of mgrs that could take over and keep things growing. -
G. David Felt Alternative Energy writer www.cheersandgears.com Ford Earnings and Sales - New CEO issues or a wait and see attitude? Ford stock has tumbled 7% since they released news that 2014 sales would be neutral or down for the year based on weaker sales in Europe and South America. Ford also has stated that North America will be less profitable in 2014 due to investments in new technology and expect operating margins to be 8-10% lower than expected. Stock has gone from a high of 18 dollars in July to just above 14 dollars a share now. Is this due to Alan Mulally leaving? An inexperienced new CEO? Total auto sales for 2014 are expected to be between 16 - 17 million new auto's. Far stronger than Fords prediction of 15.9 million. Ford has/had many new auto launches this year and a radical change for the F150 product line. Is this just a lull of reduced profits to clean out inventory ahead of a banner year for new auto sales that will pay off for years ahead and which would indicate a buyers time for Ford stock? Or is this a indication that not all is right in the Ford camp and bigger issues are on the horizon and Alan fled before having to deal with the problems? Sounds off on what you think about Ford Earnings and Sales and the direction the company will go in the short and long term. Age Demographics: Car Brands with the oldest buyers
G. David Felt replied to Cmicasa the Great's topic in Industry News
SUV's will always help to bring a Luxury makers age down. My feeling is that eventually the mass produced FWD appliances that MB and BMW are making will cause people to step back and say WOW, this is no different than a Chevy, Ford or Toyota. Bland cars and boring rides. I saw yesterday a 128I or I128 BMW convertible and my wife asked me what the heck that ugly car was. I explained it to her and she said she would rather drive a Chevy or Dodge over that ugly auto. Yet even with that, the old guy driving it took off up the road fast as some younger kids were buzzing by in their tuned out asian cars and when we finally got up north on the freeway he was pulled over by the police. So I guess it does not matter which level of BMW you drive, they all are assholes -
very cool, working like a Rock!

Chevrolet News:Chevy Trax to Start at $20,995; Launch January 2015

The Chevy Trax in Mocca with the brown interior is just lovely, nice and warm. -
Cadillac Leadership and Marketing need to better explain this stupid CT / XT crap to the world. Escalade will stay but they are flushing away ATS, CTX, XTS history and totally ignoring the name history they have that would do much better. Truth be told, XT, ST, etc is what one would expect out of concept auto's. Names are where it should be at!

Cadillac News: Cadillac's Upcoming Flagship Has A Name: CT6
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
SMK, While this story covers a wide range of auto's, BMW had 2 cars in it and MB had none and yet the winner as best driving cars was a Chevy Z28! How does German engineering beat American every time in your mind when independent testing shows America can build ultimate driving cars. http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/autosbdc/2014-motor-trends-best-drivers-car/ar-BB5Jkrz It beat Porsche, Fiat, Nissan, etc. Long list of auto's that have always been touted as superior but failed to live up to the hype.- 113 replies

Mark Reuss on CT6: 3.0L TT, Plug-in, 70MPG, 75 EV miles..
G. David Felt replied to Cmicasa the Great's topic in Cadillac
So since no real driver can ever reproduce the actual states given for a car, guess this can at best in real world driving get 10 miles of pure electric driving. What a joke. -

Cute bugger, I can see this as a popular auto for young people and for those wanting a small solid commuter auto especially with AWD. -
Good Luck KnightFan, I know it is always hard to release things you have had around for a long time.

September 2014: Mazda North American Operations
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in 2014 Sales Archive
If you remove the Mazda 6 and CX-5 Mazda is really on decline. False numbers as they need to correct their family of auto's to keep sales growth rather than just focus on 1 or 2 auto's.
