Buick News: Rumorpile: Many of Buick Models Could Be Imported
Totally and Completely disagree with you as Buick sells very well and GM did the right thing in paring up Buick with GMC so they have a Luxury Mid Level product line of Trucks, SUV's, CUV's and Cars. This is very profitable for GM as well as very different auto's and very different from the Failed Mercury issue.

If money was no object, I would do what a group of GM engineers did to this lovely 1988 Monte Carlo SS. Original power plant was a LS3 180HP mated with a 4 speed transmission. They installed a LS376/525 Connect & Cruise system which included a T56 6 speed manual transmission. Nice bump from 180HP to 525HP. The full story of the car and the awesome crate engine / transmission package is found here. http://www.chevrolet.com/performance/fuel-newsletter/2014/issue3.html

Why GM should NOT build a DOHC V8
Over all the battle of OHV versus DOHC will never be settled and Dwightlooi makes a very good case for the ongoing use of pushrod V8 engines. Over all, when a pushrod V8 is built with quality care, you get a life long engine that requires only basic maintenance and lasts a very very long time.

Why GM should NOT build a DOHC V8
News is reporting that due to CAFE, FCA has already stated that the V8 engine line of Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep will be dead after 2019. 2019 will be the last year you can buy a Hellcat Challenger or Charger. Even the RT Hemi will be dead as they move to 4 & 6 cylinder auto's with turbos pushing out 600+ horsepower. https://myclassicgarage.com/social/posts/115174-dodge-to-drop-hellcat-by-2019-beginning-of-the-end-for-v8s https://www.yahoo.com/autos/s/srt-hellcat-hemi-engines-might-not-survive-2019-173010561.html http://motrolix.com/2015/08/dodge-hellcat-hemi-v8-production-to-end-in-2019/ http://www.dodge-motors.com/news/srt-hellcat-and-hemi-engines-might-not-survive-through-2019/ So does that mean GM and Ford will also be looking at phasing out the V8 in auto's other than trucks and special limited production auto's? Wonder if Electric or Hybrid small engine with electric motors are to become the future of performance. Porsche seems to think so.

Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge Browser
I've been having issues with Chrome getting very laggy and processor intensive lately. I haven't noticed any performance issues, but my laptop is bad to the bone. I'm going to be super pissed if Edge doesn't conform to HTML standards when I'm doing web design. Supposedly all the documents I have read is that Edge is a true HTML5 only browser. Sadly as I suspected, the forum software is not fully HTML5 compliant just as most web sites are not yet. This is one time where MSFT seems to be clearly ahead of everyone else right now.

I give the Titan / Tundra their props, the engine at least moves their metal on the road. Other than that, I am not impressed with ether truck.

Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge Browser
Howdy all, Decided to upgrade my windows 7 system to windows 10. Did this for my parents also who were on windows 8.1. As their support person this gives me an easier time supporting them when we are all on the same OS version. Issue is with Microsoft Edge browser, great HTML5 non legacy browser. This means it does not use Java or Adobe Flash and is nice and fast. Problem being is trying to post new topics via that browser fails. The link button in the tool bar above does not work. Cut n Paste does not work, trying to post the new topic returns a site is not available and yet everything works fine via chrome and Firefox. So wanted to find out who else has upgraded and what issues you are hitting with Edge on accessing and posting to the forum?

1970 or 2010 Dodge Challenger, which would you own?
G. David Felt Staff Writer Alternative Energy - www.CheersandGears.com 1970 or 2010 Dodge Challenger, which would you own? Found this on the MSN auto section, a great story about the 1970 and 2010 Dodge Challenger Convertible and a guy who got to drive both. Blast to read and brings up a great question, Which one would you own? http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/enthusiasts/which-would-you-rather-own-1970-dodge-challenger-or-2010-dodge-challenger/ar-BBlP7qF?ocid=spartandhp

Fiat News: Rumorpile: Fiat 500X Getting an Abarth Version
No more SRTs that aren't Dodges. I understand that, but I was at a loss for words and now that others stated it the following would be cool Renegade Trailhawk Edition with a Turbo 4, AWD about 250HP would do

Fiat News: Rumorpile: Fiat 500X Getting an Abarth Version
Interesting that the Renegade could have their own SRT version then using the turbo motor. As much as I do not like the look and especially the quality of the Fiat line, a 500X Abarth version would be awesome. They should make it an AWD with about 250HP.

Why GM should NOT build a DOHC V8
Would love to see this car up against the corvette or camero to compare the various stages of HP / Torque at certain speeds such as: 0 to 30 0 to 60 0 to 90 0 to 120 then 30 to 60 30 to 90 30 to 120 then 60 to 90 60 to 120 I think this will show how Torque and HP work to move the auto even faster. Auto mags and web sites need to do comparisons like this to show just how well OHV versus DOHC engines would perform and deliver. I question the added weight issues of DOHC over OHV engines and where it all ends up at. Then take this to the next level with Turbo versions of the OHV versus DOHC to really see what is best. Right now more Marketing Fluff than real facts from the OEM's.

Why GM should NOT build a DOHC V8
Sadly, FORD needs to get with building a V8 DOHC with some Torque, HP alone does not cut it.

I am excited to read about the Diesel Colorado / Canyon pickup. I am also excited to read more about the BOLT. Excited to see and read about where GM is going with their full size SUV's. Do we finally get a VOLT style Escalade, Yukon and Taho / Suburban version?
