  1. Amazing what people will do to fix their auto themselves!
  2. Wow, amazing lack of driving skills or like you said just plain laziness. Interesting to see the ripped off fender flair of the Jeep in your second picture.
  3. My dad still has his garage kept 2005 fully loaded extended cab colorado 2wd with only 45K miles, gold mist color and the 5cyl engine. He keeps telling me it is a collectors and I just smile. He can think that all he wants at 72yrs old. Interesting point is he has an official GM letter that says he can have the engine replaced with a new one at 100K miles. Not really sure why as they do not explain it but he has kept that letter in his complete file on the truck. I wonder if they are wanting the engine back to see how it held up????
  4. THOR
  5. Not surprising that those green freaks that have been sitting on the bench would jump at the lower prices plus heavy fed subsidies. Even is gas prices stayed steady, I think we will see a fall off in EV sales as you take care of those that want a luxury golf cart and the rest will go for the Hybrid types like a Volt. The rest of the masses will continue to stay the course IMHO.
  6. Lighting * Very cool that your parents company does that. I love Cigar Boat Racing.
  7. Funny how everyone was fearfull of the blue screen of death when GM started to use a locked down NT kernel version for some software driven hardware. Now we fear the andriod crash of rebooting due to non responding hardware.
  8. This sounds very cool. For those of us that have used laptops to do this, it makes it much easier, but I do wonder if big brother will want to access this info if they use it on public roads. Have to be careful of where one uses it so you do not leave behind evidence if you do something not legal. I could see this on a future Fast and Furious movie where they show recording their street race and then going back to fine tune the auto.
  9. Lucky Duck Drew, that should be so much fun. Looking forward to your pictures and impressions on initial first viewing.
  10. You crack me up!
  11. Did he get the engine block heater option?
  12. Modern 4x4 with a push button is nice and simple, just push the button and that is it. The auto lock hubs do their job. No more manually stop, get out and turn the hubs and lock them and then go into 4x4 and move forward. You will love the ease of a modern 4x4.
  13. Will be interesting to see who they conquest the buyers from. Personally I think it will be from the Asian brands that MB will steal the most from.
  14. 2014 Signal to Trade it in on the new 2015 Canyon! FYI, filled up my Bi-Fuel Suburban over the weekend. 44 gallon Gas tank of Premium cost $178.20 to fill. Then time filled the CNG tank, which is 42 gallons cost me $35.70. So will be interesting to see how it goes with CNG. Will not be missing the gas bill at all, but nice to have it as an alternative fuel to fall back on.
  15. I like these were in the Canyon is the 2015 Canyon! Sorry sarcasm like late night TV comedy eludes me. Never understood what people saw so funny in movies like Anchorman or Saturday night live. Why I stick to Fast and Furious or Resident Evil.
  16. Sounds like you have partial night blindness. Just be careful, best of luck with it.
  17. Not sure where, but I am sure your area has the same thing as my area. Look at the Reposed / confiscated auto's. In washington state they all go to various auction houses and every saturday and sunday on the first weekend of the month they go up for sale to the public. I have seen some sweet deals where people have captured only a couple years old auto's for a few thousand dollars. This is what I quickly found in your area. http://www.athensautoauctionga.com/ http://www.georgiacarauction.com/athens/
  18. Plus some Over Educated Marketing Dweeb has to justify his over priced MBA from some over priced Ivy League college.
  19. Sounds like what has happened over the holidays at Eastside Catholic HighSchool. http://www.king5.com/news/local/Eastside-Catholic-resumes-school-protesting-students-will-be-disciplined-238813151.html The Vice Principal got married to his life long partner and the Principal told him to get a divorce if he wanted to keep his job or be fired. I hope he gets a much better job elsewhere. :o :o :o :o :o :o In the 21st Century while I understand the catholic church has a right to state their view, it is still WRONG for making a judgement call like this. Leave it to GOD if you really believe this idol exists. After all his bible written by men states that only he judges.
  20. QUESTION? Is the 8K the amount you have to pay down so the auto is paid for and you just have to gas it, insure it and drive it? Reason is that at least here in Washington for the 7 passenger CUV's, I see many fully loaded or well loaded for a reasonable 300 month lease payment. One option to consider so that you can get into something bigger and more reliable.
  21. SAmadei, My 94 GMC Suburban came like all with the normal dark tint and my wife or I have no problem seeing out of the windows and checking the dual mirrors. Now my Suburban came with what I believe is normal rectangle mirrors and have good vision. Trust me that you will get used to looking out your corners and eventually come to thank that tint for toning down headlights and other bright light sources so you can still see. One RECOMMENDATION, I put a pair of PIAA flood lights on the back just under the bumper so in reverse it lights up the world so you can clearly see what you want to back up to even a trailer. Backing up is the one hard part with tinting if you do not have decent flood lights.
  22. That could be the new Punto Drew! It would fit in with their current design language or lack of one.
  23. Naw, I do not see how this would cause us problems since it was already posted online and reposted. Nothing showing of the truck so we are good to speculate about how nice the GMC twin will be in a little more than a week away.
