So came across this story on Lucra Cars who has built multiple cars for the Fast and Furious movies. He became noticed with the LC470 and now has the L148 that is to go into production in 2014 as a $300K 700HP LS V8 American Muscle car with European driving capabilities. G. David Felt Alternative Fuels & Propulsion writer www.CheersandGears.com EPA Apps and Tools for Alternative Energy The EPA is working hard to allow people to find Alternative Energy stations via their first smartphone app. Support from the Energy Department, the Alternative Fueling Station Locator app provides information on more than 15,000 stations across the country. This was developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The app allows users to select multiple parameters such as if the station is open to the public, what form of payments they take, hours of operation, address, phone numbers, etc. This app allows for the search of the following fuels: stations that offer electricity, biodiesel (B20), natural gas (compressed CNG and liquefied LNG), ethanol (E85), hydrogen, and propane. The Alternative Fueling Station Locator app is available for the iPhone and iPad at no cost from the Apple App Store. More information can be attained here : http://energy.gov/eere/articles/energy-department-launches-alternative-fueling-station-locator-app?utm_source=+WW+Clean+Cities+News+Digest+--+November+26%2C+2013&utm_campaign=Weekly+News+Digest&utm_medium=email One thing that every business owner wants is to be able to see what the ROI (Return on Investment) point would be for Alternative Fuels. Clean Cities and the Argonne National Laboratory has taken data and created a spread sheet that allows people to plug in specific information so that they can get the following information: 1) Simple Payback Calculator 2) Total Cost of Ownership Calculator, 3) Fleet Energy and Emissions Footprint Calculator Using multiple sources of data, a well to wheels approach allows one to figure out their carbon footprint based on what types of auto's they drive, type of fuel used and type of work done to estimate ones carbon footprint. The AFLEET tool's spreadsheet and user manual can be found here: http://greet.es.anl.gov/afleet_tool Full story by Green Fleet can be found here: http://www.greenfleetmagazine.com/news/51780/feds-develop-alt-fuel-analytical-tool?utm_campaign=topnews-20131122&utm_source=Email&utm_medium=Enewsletter&utm_source=+WW+Clean+Cities+News+Digest+--+November+26%2C+2013&utm_campaign=Weekly+News+Digest&utm_medium=email

Be safe everyone with the snow storm hitting you. Seattle is a nice comfy 41 degrees and sunshine. Just got done having a test drive in a coworkers new Audi S4 that he just got back from a customer tuner shop. After buying it new at the dealership, he drove it to the tuner and plunked down 20K more for new brake system, exhaust system, ECU Tuning, and other engine work. WOW, It really moves and the crack of the exhaust is nice under hard driving. Gotta love engineers who love to tune their auto's for premium performance.

Yup Unions would love to get all that cash and squander it. But Fiat wants bottom basement pricing. Not sure they could really afford it anyway. -

So the tax payers take a bath to the tune of 139 million and the idiot ex CEO and his Chummy Chinese friends end up with the company minus the debt, building an electric auto that is questionable at best. Sad Day for the hardworking tax payers in the US.- 5 replies

My Son's Patriot is a Trail Rated version which he tested out this summer and went off road and it proved to be very durable. No scratches or dents but did get a rock chip in the paint on the drive home from another auto throwing a stone. Jeep built the FWD bias 4x4 Patriot very well. I like the space inside for big guys like me.

It is so rare to see this car that I doubt anyone other than gamers would care if it was killed off. EVO X is an animation fanboi game car. I wonder if they make any money on the few they build?

Personally this will sell initially to those Koreans that want to support the motherland and a few others that like it over other luxury auto's and are not hung up on names. Yet in the long term, I do not see this being successful.

Biggest one day stock drop due to auto Fire in Seattle Suburb
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Tesla
Considering the numbers of auto's I see driving around that are cigarette pack high off the ground like the Tesla and these Petrol models do not go BOOM. I think this double the ride height so it cannot strike trash on the road is not the smartest fix, but probably the fastest and easiest for them right now compared to building a safer battery cover. -
Biggest one day stock drop due to auto Fire in Seattle Suburb
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Tesla
That was very funny Ocnblu. So I wonder how much reduction in range the Tesla S will loose once they increase the ride height from the existing 3 inches to 6 inches or so the current chat online is indicating with the new software update that will double the ride height. Some are saying as much as 20% reduction in range. Thoughts? -

Beautiful Ride, nice going. So you bought it and took it from the US to Vancouver BC? Is it really that much cheaper to buy vehicles in the US over Canada? -

Aftermarket Gauges and Meters
G. David Felt replied to Rvinyl.com's topic in Product Questions and Reviews
So in reading online, you can install the gauge inside and run the wires out of the fire wall and then you need to locate where the oil temp gauge is on the engine so that you can splice the wire into it and this way the OEM gauge would still work plus your new flashy gauge. The sensors in most cars are able to report all the info, just that it is cheaper to have dummy lights to say too hot or a generic gauge that shows cold to hot.
