  1. I agree with Dwightlooi, GM should just use the existing 6.6 and scale it down as a V6, V4 and really kick ass in the auto industry. People would buy up every 4.95L V6 powered Yukon Denali and Tahoe with this engine. I also can see huge sales in both full size and mid size pickups with a 3.3L V4 Duramax Engine.
  2. I personally believe in the Protection 3M offers to keep your auto's looking new. My 2006 Escalade Platinum ESV has 120,000 miles on it as I use it for long distance road trips. My wife and I love road trips, seeing america. Not a single scratch or dent and the front nose looks like the day I took it off the show room floor. Litterly it was the last one the dealership had, fully loaded and they had to remove it from the showroom so I could test drive it. I have had the 3M protection put on all my auto's and they all look like new still. My service manager at Cadillac keeps asking to buy my Escalade for himself as he loves that the interior and exterior are like new, still has that new Leather smell. I know I am probably an exception as I garage all my autos and keep them clean and detailed. But then they are a bad investment, so might as well make them last as long as possible. So I strongly support people using the Paint Protection kits, not everyone has a steady hand and if you do not have the patience to smooth it out and work out the bubbles, then pay to have it installed. 4mil versus thicker 3M products, I understand the need to fill the request for cheaper products, but I will always tell people to spend the few extra bucks for the thicker product as you want the protection from rock chips also.
  3. I agree that this auto has lost it's unique character. Toyota bloated it up and destroyed the speciality of what it was. Engine should have been at least in the 350-375 or even better yet pushing 400hp/lbs as an awd beast.
  4. YES YES YES, Put that bad boy into the Full Size SUV's line. Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL and Escalade, Escalade ESV would do well with this. Class leading HP, Torque and MPG would be awesome for GM.
  5. Hate to say this as I have always loved the STI, but clearly Toyota is having a major affect on Subaru as this is a PIG with LIPSTICK. Can we say Tarted up Camry? I knew you could! Sad to see Subaru being this dumbed down by Toyota. Same old motor, New blah body style and just a warm over of what they have done with the Toyota line of auto's.
  6. Awesome to hear you had an exciting interesting day for your B-Day. Happy belated B-Day my friend.
  7. Have to say that GM hit a home run with this new Coupe. Lovely lines, clean and just an over all job well done. In regards to the new updated Cadillac emblem. WELL DONE Caddy! Being the target market, 46 year old white collar professional, I really love this new 21st century Emblem. I truly believe this will carry them forward for many decades to come. I know the traditionalist here hate that they dropped the wreath but this is a futuristic take on where they need to go as they finally get their family line of auto's sync'd to an outstanding design language with build quality and desire to match. 21st Century and beyond this will help Cadillac attain their long range goals.
  8. Conservative Bland, That is my first impression. Reminds me of a Mazda that mated with a Honda and this was their off spring. Those rims while looking nice, I can see being scratched to hell and messed up due to people who have not cared to learn how to parallel park scrap them up. Body design is a bland Jelly Bean shape. For the Conservative mind set, I am sure this will sell well to them. I am surprised to hear Caddycruiser talk about their great market as the dealership by my house seems to rotate their stock around to make it look like it is always changing but I rarely see Acura's on the road here. Most of the time it is their CUV's, but the acura cars I see are older. Hardly see the new ones so not sure how they are surviving.
  9. That Last shot is how the home page looks on my 19" monitor when I put the browser on that screen. My work setup has two 27" monitors and two 19" monitors. I was surprised to see it completely changes the look of the home page on small screens.
  10. Equus Bass 770, is it worth $250,000? The question is asked, since Equus Automotive is showing off 3 of their new 21st Century Muscle cars at the Detroit Autoshow this week. http://www.equus-automotive.com/en_US/ The muscle car features GM's LS9 6.2L Supercharged 640HP V8 as the motor of motivation. The Bass770 comes in 480lbs lighter than the Camero ZL1 at 3640lbs curb weight. Tranmission of choice is a dual clutch 6 speed manual sending power to the rear wheels while using GM's Magnetic Ride Suspension system and Brembo Carbon Ceramic Rotors and pads. Boasting a top speed of 200mph and a 0 - 60 time of 3.4 seconds. This pushes this as the ultamite American Muscle car to take on all super cars. The interior is a retro style wrapped in soft leather yet using 21st century electronics. Their web site has what all Car nuts love, a configurator so you can build your own Bass770. http://www.equus-automotive.com/en_US/configurator/ So check out the site, build your BASS770 and post your new 21st Century Bad Ass Ride and tell us what you think! Is this Muscle Car worth the Coin? Sound Off!
  11. Interesting, I have always like especially the first and second generation Maxima. Be interesting to see this in person and if they improved over the last generation as it leaves allot to be desired.
  12. Very nice, great improvement over the past 200. I would not have a problem driving this if I could be comfy enough in these small cars.
  13. Interior is nice, exterior is an improvement, but still do not like the design language.
  14. Nice car, realized that these low slung cig pack high 2 door sports cars are not my thing. But I could see this selling here in the US as long as it stayed in the low 20K price range.
  15. Nice car, but leaves me with an emtpy expectation that there should be something more. Not sure what, but it is missing something.
  16. Interesting car, actually like the body style and very different from anything Toyota has done in the past. Course I see allot of Ferrari so maybe they had a stable full of the prancing ponies to look at to build this.
  17. Here is a comparison of our Home Page and Forums on 27" and 19" monitors.
  18. I like the new interface, clean and enjoyable. I find it interesting that depending on the size of the monitor the front page turns into tiles or on bigger screens shows verbiage about the story. Nice auto change feature. Did you play with the build theme option in the upper left corner? I changed colors to my like with this.
  19. We'll this is going to be a love it or hate it truck and so Ford has probably hit it on the nose to compete against dodge and gm. For me, it is ugly and I do not like the exterior at all. The interior is even worse as it comes across as over done big blocks and looks plasticky from the pictures. There just seems to be a cheapness about the interior that I cannot put my finger on other than the plasticky look. 700lbs reduced weight is awesome. Yet with all the problems they have been having on the quality of the aluminum panels, I would not touch this truck for a few years and let them figure out how to truly make it solid.
  20. It gives them a auto to have in the full size SUV category, but I would take a plain jane tahoe over this.
  21. Nice write up, Bill hit the nail right on when he said this is a car for those that want to be driven around in, not for the driver. With that said, I am sure based on the pictures that the fit, finish, and quality is there, but the car is just blah to look at and the interior dash to me looks like a warp back in time. I know this is aimed at the conservative business person who gets driven around in but still I was left unimpressed.
  22. Imagen how fast Ocnblu would have to replace tires driving it to work and back, day 3, need a new set of rear tires please!
  23. JB Weld is a waste of money, have tried it multiple times and it never holds so I would not waste money on that product.
  24. GMC wins this battle hands down.
