  1. I agree with the clean center stack. I am also glad they kept to the concept as this will help them sell more models
  2. Good Luck, My experience with this car line has been nothing short of tragic. While they have interesting style, I do not see them being as successful as they think in the US. They have plenty of old horror stories to overcome. 300000 by 2020 is a more realistic goal.
  3. Exactly, spend all that money for an uncomfortable ride. Quality of Life, Safety and common sense needs to come before the knee jerk reaction of just buying small or subcompact small.
  4. New Modern versions probably all DI engines as part of the complete EcoTec Engine family?
  5. Miami Vice
  6. This is exciting news, I really hope Mr. Butler can grasp the Euro Market and create the much needed Dealership experience to get Sales of Cadillac going while still growing the US market. I wish Mr. Majoros the best in taking on Cadillac. Just remember this is no Chevy and needs their own special take on the Marketing Mojo. I missed not seeing Cadillac on the commercials at the Superbowl.
  7. Bad news: Your mother confines on her death bed that your father is not really your father but your distant 3rd uncle is and he is a potato farmer from Pocatello.
  8. Where did all the K cars go? They saved Chrysler, but seem to have disappeared from society. Imagen finding a low mileage barn find.
  9. Look forward to hearing about the truck once you get to check it out.
  10. At the local Taco Time, they had a Hot Rod preview of an up coming show on friday. Most of the cars were 57 & 58 Chevy's in various stages from just starting to restore to completed and beautiful. There was one freaking hot looking Corvair. Wish I had my camera, going to try and get back on friday with the camera to check out the rides.
  11. The_yellow_dart, I am shocked as your comments made me check the web site and as you can see above there seems to be no compelling reason to buy a truck with the 4.9L V8 you might as well get the 5.3 or even the 6.2L. I really wonder why GM even builds this smaller engine as the only thing I can think of is they can say our Small V8 is the most powerfull in below 5 L V8's and equal in Fuel economy to V6 powered equal trucks?????? Anyone have insight as to why this is like this? Maybe a email to GM needs to be done.
  12. From what I can find, the bulk of mini buyers are repeat customers, they have a very low conquest rate of new buyers. I think this trend will continue with the subcompact market. Once you meet the needs of those that can only think sardine in a noisy can work transportation, you have to expect fall off. The SubCompact market has been saturated and while there are many high quality auto's out there, I really do not see much future growth for this segment compared to Compact and mid size especially when you have new Hybrid and alternative energy powertrains coming online.
  13. Shovels and Buckets.
  14. I agree with the compacts getting the same as subcompact gas mileage, but even more is the fact that subcompacts really only meet the needs of a small group of people. As you have a bigger person, they are less likely to buy a subcompact. For me being 6'6" tall I will never have anything below mid size CUV at worst. More people now than before are not able to be comfortable in compact or especially subcompact. You can only get so many stuffed like sardines into a subcompact.
  15. Agreed, while I tend to forget about Jag, they have stepped up their quality to be taken notice of and cannot be overlooked.
  16. I think the CTS & ATS were wake up calls to MB and BMW along with the quality of the Audi that is going to make this segment a very exciting one as product will only get better and better.

  18. Thinking on this EPA should just take the technology and share it with GM and Ford. That way the american auto companies can use it to benefit America and jobs. For those that say what about the other investors? Well the EPA can sell the rights to use the technology to them, be it China, Japan, Korea, Euro, etc. That way those funds can go back to the independant investors and if there is anything left over it can go back to the original investors/owners.
  19. Looking at the picture, I assume that fluid fill tank with the cap will have an extension tub and measure stick to tell if you need to top it off. If not service will be a pain for those of us that like to do it yourself. Crawl underneath to measure the tranny fluid will be a pain in the ass.
  20. Beach Boys
  21. Happy B-Day to you Avant1963, Enjoy your 40 which is the new 30 as 50 is now the new Mid Life Crisis! Have a great day to you!
  22. Yakuza
  23. I agree with Drew, being an Executive member of nationals club is sweet. Back on topic, the 500e I still see as a failure for them. This was the wrong thing to do, if they had done a Hybrid like the Volt that would have been so much better. They could have done it cng style and really had a ride that would have gotten notice. This will fad away by the end of the year.
  24. What a sad day for Ram, bummer, but I have a gut feeling there were some major politics going on with the Euro Owners.
