L.A. Auto Show: 2014 Mitsubushi Outlander: Comments
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
This screams 1st generation BMW x5 to me on the outside and a bit on the inside. Weird new grill for the company. Did anyone notice just how big the subwoofer looks on the left side of the cargo area? I wonder if it is real. Looks like a 12" or so, freakin big and will excite the young Y generation who has no taste in auto design.- 15 replies

Sweet car, but it does kinda remind me of Aston Martin. -
L.A. Auto Show: 2014 Porsche Cayman: Comments

YAWN, While I appreciate the dedication to design DNA, I do not see much in the way that is different than a one from 5 or 10 years ago. Yes they have newer metals, faster engines, etc. But honestly, this car company is stuck in s rut with no really new car design or expansion of the design language. Bit boring to me. First look, "Yup it is a Porsche" Just blends into the family of auto's. -
nah... i think he should fold his hand in that department as well... True, but at least that gives him a place to work and keeps him out of screwing up the auto industry with his poor taste. The last thing we need is people getting into the auto industry and screwing it up with poor taste and quality.

This is what I found on how to turn off the Sony Xplode beep: 1) Press and hold the select button until the "setup" display appears on the screen. 2) Repeatably press select until "Beep" appears on the screen. 3) Rotate the dial until "Off" appears. 4) Press and hold the "Select" button. 5) The "setup" menu will disappear and the unit will no longer beep.

Nice but is it me or are they just coping Mercedes Benze in design language? -

His fantasy is just freakin UGLY and Hideous. NO Sex Appeal. He should stay with the clothing industry and not make an ugly car even uglier. There is nothing freedom about it. I think I am dumber for watching it. So Sad

LA Auto Show: BMW i3 Concept Coupe: Comments
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in LA Auto Show
Interesting concept, looks like a jelly bean, but if they get the handling right, should be a hit. I hope GM is working on doing a Volt version of a CUV like this. I think it would do well under Chevy, Buick and Caddy. -
Love Auto Shows, so much Cool stuff! Thanks to all the guys covering it for us.

L.A. Auto Show: A Trio of Fiat 500s: Comments
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
So the 500e is nothing more than a Luxury Golf Cart for inter city driving. I see limited appeal in the real world even with the wasted tax dollars on EV highways. The amount of time you spend charging for your next 80 mile drive is pathetic. The 500c will appeal to the young woman and men wanting an open top and should allow them to sell in decent quantities. I hope GM Gets this going with the Spark as they need a soft top as they already have a superior EV and sporty gas model. 500L would seem to be their competition to Mini and trying to get people bigger than 5'8" tall into the cars. Be interesting to see their first year quality JD survey results. -

Interactive Review: 2013 Cadillac ATS 3.6L AWD

http://autos.yahoo.c...-152700891.html Cadillac ATS was tested at the BMW proving grounds and they came away very impressed. They pushed both the ATS and BMW till they went into limp home mode. Do you feel that breaking and stearing are pretty spot on neutral and while the car seems to really behave in corners that it could use more horse power? Do you also see any of the things stated her about the CUE? http://news.yahoo.com/gm-takes-cue-apple-address-vehicle-tech-glitches-013139919--finance.html- 48 replies

Tractors are always cool for everyone. Just something neat about driving one, playing with one. I think it has to do with the open access to the world and no safety nanny devices like in a car. you truly are one with the world driving.

I still think they need to look at what others have done, namely Honda and Toyota and make sure they can beat them on all features and functionality. This along with a modern Efficient power train.- 21 replies

Too true, amazing to think of growing up in the 70's and starting with my first computer an Apple II and now what we have. I still got a few moves left in me. Thanks everyone for the wishes. Today should be a blast.

L.A. Auto Show: 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV: Comments
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
WOW, What an over priced Luxury Golf Cart for Inner City Transportation. Just wait till these cars get smashed and splattered all over the EV Highway and they have to call toxic response to come and clean up the mess. Sorry but this is a sad joke of a car in a world that does not really need them except in certain high density cities. I hope GM can recover the R&D cost of these pure electric cars, but I kinda doubt it. still 50 years and a long way to go in technology before this will be standard common car.
