  1. Just drop in a GM crate motor of performance focus and give your Malibu a very custom RS experience.
  2. Sales cannot tank when they barely exist conservative padawan! Cadillac has an opportunity to focus on quality with ATP over volume while they build superior EVs. The whole focus here is that Solid State batteries which are moving from R&D into production by Dyson, Panasonic, Toshiba, Samsung, MIT - Ionic Materials have the benefit of doubling energy density in up to half the package size. Example of this is the 200 kWh battery pack Tesla is putting in the Roadster 2.0 that is 310 miles of range, drops almost to half the weight and yet gets 620 miles of range with Solid State batteries and no rare earth metals. There is also the advanced research that has gone on by PNNL here in the PNW that is using a Solid State Lithium battery as a mid step to the Crystal Polymer solid state battery that Dyson, Samsung and Ionic Materials are developing into commercial cells. The PNNL uses existing Lithium and unlike current batteries where cells start to decay after 100 cycles of fast charging, these new solid state Lithium batteries can handle 700 fast charging cycles before decay even starts. Far longer battery life than most are used to having and again without rare earth Cobalt. https://www.machinedesign.com/motion-control/solid-state-batteries-evs-key-long-distance-driving Toyota and VW both have moved into early production runs of their new Solid state batteries that also have the benefit of NOT loosing charge or capacity in extreme heat or cold. Right now their batteries can go from -50 to 212 with no degradation or explosive issues like a liquid Lithium battery does. https://www.autoevolution.com/news/batteries-lithium-ion-or-solid-state-126772.html Again, with Green energy, solid state batteries and much less maintenance, the future is EV for the bulk of society. FOR ANYONE interested in reading on solid state versus traditional liquid Lithium, this is an excellent short read that covers it well. Current for where we are at: https://www.lithium-battery-factory.com/solid-state-lithium-ion-batteries/ Best thing is Toshiba goes into commercial production this spring for their Solid state battery for cars where you get 320 Kilometers in 6 minutes. For those that can only do US standard is that equals 198 miles in 6 min, the large battery is 396 miles of range in 12 min. Range and recharge anxiety solved!
  3. Finally saw today a couple of these new trucks on the road, one black and the other red and know in watching them go down the highway and come up from behind, the front and rear are BUTT UGLY!, GMC has the win on style, these trucks have replaced the original love hate that Ram had when it came out with their big rig look. Chevy is ugly and I am firmly in the HATE camp. Take a GMC version every day over this truck! Chevy =
  4. @Robert Hall OK, looking at this more and why that orangy car seems to make me see MB and finally figured out what I am seeing. MB was the first to just abuse coupe on everything style, the overall shape of the car just brings that up to me, the Headlights I actually confused myself as not MB but Cadillac and the rear tail lights just scream to me Honda Civic.
  5. As solid state batteries that DO NOT need cobalt become the new norm with denser storage and power and liter we will then see this become an even bigger change.
  6. Very cool guys, thank you now I want to check out the latest one. Those pic's are awesome!
  7. Both Seattle and Tacoma terminals are currently dredging out to support the new LNG Super Container ships that can only go into a few ports in America. Both ports have gone green with support for LNG as well as other green energy sources that newer ships are using.
  8. hahahahahaha, not at this time. But then retail does have strict rules here. An example is that I bought a new safe for the home, big fireproof safe that Business costco has in stock and someone put a wrong sign on it with a crazy low price. I saw it, was half the normal selling price and I bought one. They removed the sign to correct it, but a company here is held accountable for any price they put on a product even if it is the wrong product, so pricing labels are a hard to change type sticky label so that consumers cannot change them but holds the company accountable for proper pricing and this is also carried over to ads so consumers are not screwed by false advertising. When I used to work for Computer City and then CompUSA, ads here in Washington was a very tedious job to insure you had the right info in the ad before going to print. The real photo is allowed to use a OEM supplied image as long as the VIN number and details of what is on the auto is there. That is pretty normal as you see there for the web. If you looked at the Seattle Times newspaper, you will only see actual photo's of the auto with the VIN for what is being advertised.
  9. WOW, I like that, it is very sharp but also clearly says I am a copy of Mercedes-Benz. I do like the interior here and the exterior. Much better looking than the Honda or Toyota versions.
  10. @Drew Dowdell Thank you for posting those. They are nice. The last time I looked at the pixel almost 2yrs ago, it was not as good as the samsung then to my eyes, so I went with the samsung. Will have to take another look when I get ready to upgrade phones again.
  11. Looking into the ifo institue, they are clearly big business focused and appears to be funded via a special Bavarian group. Wiki has this on them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ifo_Institute_for_Economic_Research The author of the study is clearly a big business focused person. http://www.hanswernersinn.de/en ifo Institute has merged to become cesifo institute. http://www.cesifo-group.de/ifoHome/CESifo-Group/ifo.html Clearly the special interest groups are focused on fighting the change to green energy and cleaner auto transportation it would appear.
  12. You can always put any auto in a bad light situation. That story above is total F.U.D. and as Drew stated already the country in it's push is moving away from coal electric powered to alternative green energy. Here in Washington we will close down our last coal power plant in 2025. The last nuclear power plant will close in 2045 at which time the few Natural gas plants will become emergency reserve backups to the state as we go 100% green power production. Now yes we do lead the nation in green power and especially hydro. Compare this to a dirty state powered by Coal such as West Virgina which has some of the dirtiest power generation in the nation. Check out your own state here: https://www.eia.gov/state/?sid=WV#tabs-4
  13. Samsung has moved to Pie but then you are looking at the Galaxy 10 line. They have pushed Pie over the last month out to all phones capable of handling Pie. If you do not want the delay, then you can go with the Pixel as @Drew Dowdell points out, but I have not been impressed with the camera on the pixel.
  14. Here in this state, the ads due to crazy laws to protect consumers will talk about a product line starting at a price point, but clearly states see dealership for details / feature functions of specific models via VIN #. An add like posted above would not be allowed. You have to show a real picture of the auto with the vin number and specific features that vin auto has. That is the lawsuit right there, they advertise a car with AWD that we know is not true. That would be considered bait n switch here in Washington. As I stated above to Drew, you can only advertise a specific car with stated VIN number and the details about that vin auto. Generic ads or models posted that way with a generic number of the so called auto in stock is not allowed. Defined advertising while making it a bit more work to advertise a product, protects the consumer and the dealer better.
  15. That is a lawsuit for here in Washington. OUCH, if ya can get it, go for it!
  16. That statement not only makes me laugh, but I have to think it is an idiot marketing dweeb that has no fracking clue about power.
  17. While the CT5 does not carry the presence of the CT6 and I will attribute this to the over kill use of the Coupe design plus shaving here and there, the bigger reason is public perception of cars which is dying as folks move to trucks and SUV/CUVs in replacement of cars. Honestly, Cadillac could kill off a CT4, no need, just keep the CT5 and CT6 and upgrade the interiors and keep it best in class. Luxury does not need anything below the CT5 / low $30K to $20 K line when you have Buick and Cheverolet. Focus on world class with best ATP's. Then pour the rest of the money into the CUV / SUV lineup and focus on EVs.
  18. I was thinking that an EV Traverse size as an alternative to a V6 powered version.
  19. I honestly have had a hit or miss with refurbished phones. I think one truly needs to do research as it is buyer beware on the phones. I tend to change phones every 4 years so I buy top of the line, in this case been staying with the Samsung Note, went with Note 3 and then Note 8. So yes, $1K is allot of money but when figured over 4 years or so it ends up being cheap for a reliable long term phone.
  20. This totally makes sense, plus we still only know of the Cadillac EV, with so many others coming, one does have to wonder what GM might be getting ready to show off at next years auto shows for new EVs.
  21. @ccap41 You can downvote me and that is fine, but I agree with @Drew Dowdell what about the CT5 outside of the Chassis that they are using makes it a Sports Sedan?
  22. I have to say that I really like the looks of this on the outside. Inside is what I expect for the class of auto. I really like the dash on this one. Did a good job putting in that large screen with the dash. Agree with @ccap41 that Hyundai is really on board with nailing it with their auto's in the last couple years. Excited to see what else they bring out this year.
