  1. THANK YOU @Drew Dowdell You are right Politics and even religion have a proper place when in the proper context of our Auto discussions. Electrics does seem to becoming the new bible standard of use in Europe and the mental adoption based on marketing and incentives to change seem to be getting people off the fence or out of the old toxic diesel and into the new cleaner age of EV's. Yes I understand that places that are 100% on coal produced electric are no cleaner than diesel, much like West Virgina which is still 100% coal produced electric power, yet for those places that use Hydro, wind and solar, even natural gas, so much greener, cleaner and the air smells much better. I think sadly the US is going to lose more of their edge to Europe and the Asian rim as they move forward government driven for a quieter cleaner driving experience.
  2. I take this 1940 Chevy as an EV Pickup. Talk about a Frunk!
  3. Not being a financial wizard at long term planning of a major company. At the rate of sales to costs to R&D, I wonder what the analytics would say is the year of profitability now? ? 2020, 2025, 2030, 2035????????? I bet Rivian has a better idea than Tesla, but I do wonder how long before someone buys them up.
  4. Looks like a hockey puck, but we gave away Dell Technology Branded Wireless high speed chargers this year st DTW 2019.
  5. I think @smk4565 Wants a luxury Hummer rebadged as a Cadillac so he has something real to complain about to offset the terrible G-Wagon.
  6. Ducati says an electric motorcycle is coming, but first they’ve announced this electric scooter http://flip.it/Iz6m7I Ducati scooter EV first product out
  7. I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw a G8 or GTO, but then cars are not very popular here compared to trucks, SUV and CUVs.
  8. Bought the movie, have not had a chance to watch it yet.
  9. My Note 8 does not have that option anymore for removable, but then I have not ever had a freeze issue on it either so no need to do that and I now make a habit of rebooting it once a week to have it boot up clean.
  10. I already thought that Most of the S-Class sold in China were 4 bangers with some 6 and a few rare 8 banger motors.
  11. Interesting, guess they are darker than the normal ones. I love the bacon / cheese flavored ones.
  12. I would agree they need a truck and a Mini pickup and mid size would be best for them. Just something better looking than the mess above.
  13. Lets just hope Cadillac NEVER does this Ugly Mess again from the late 70's to early 80's of the Cadillac Seville Uglies:
  14. I am really interested in the new Nav system and how it responds, review comparisons to the German and Asians. Should be interesting along with the thoughts on the interior room and material quality. They should have made the CT5 a true 4 door sedan and then shocked everyone by showing off a true coupe like this. Or at least if not using that cool name called it an Eldorado.
  15. Excellent growth, hopefully a signs of better things to come for Cadillac in the US with more often refreshes and newer product sooner.
  16. Exactly why I feel the coupe things is so over done. 4 door sedans need a proper trunk look and not the jellybean with no trunk look.
  17. That was a cool tow too for the 155,000 dry weight of the Endeavor by the Tundra.
  18. Pretty much to be expected with the work on the Model Y. I think the big question is this time next year with a full year of Model 3 production and the start of Model Y if they can sustain profitability or not. That will be the key to longer term success and survival as an independent company.
  19. Agreed, considering that Tesla has shown not only their Semi Concept, but a real Tesla X pulling a Boeing plane that is 265,000 pounds of weight, Electric as a HD model would do wonders for Construction sites in the inner city where quiet is appreciated early in the morning when they start work.
  20. So that is a dealer access order guide then only? I have never seen anything like this before, guess for rating of EPA, they list it CUV, but public knows better as a hatchback? ?‍♂️ I have to say that Cadillac has nailed the LOVELY Burgundy Wine Color on the CT5. This really makes it attractive.
  21. Must be that high maintenance ICE auto you drive since electrics do not chirp!
  22. Yup, at least here in Washington, I noticed all the parking spots next to weird space in garages that a parking spot could not be put in have been used to install chargers improving the over all use of space.
  23. Hate Bernie, old guy needs to retire and stop his socialist craziness. Yes free is never free, but a cost some place else. Probably higher rent to the tenants at the mall, ending up higher prices to the consumer. Yet, people see free and in their short sightedness, the free charger especially if they live in an apartment is a good thing. Plus they are at the mall and might buy something. Winner Winner Winier dinner!
  24. As I have published earlier in the alternative fuel channel, Toshiba goes into production with their solid state batteries this spring, Mitsubishi and Nissan are the first auto companies that are going to use them in their EVs. Two battery pack options, 198 mile pack that charges fully in 6 min and 396 mile pack that charges in 12 min. Toshiba is leading the charge here and then there is Samsung who as @Drew Dowdell suggested has stated they will have solid state batteries out later this year but no product mentioned. I suspect in the Note 10, Samsung has also been totally quiet about the battery that is in the Samsung Fold but many think it is a solid state battery. Benefits of solid state batteries is half the size of traditional Lithium Ion batteries with 4 times more charge. So making phones liter makes sense, but for a phone like the note, I can also see much longer charge times. Since the time I have posted my original story about the Scib batteries, toshiba has both hybrid lithium ion and solid state going into production this year. This was the update I posted about the drop of cobalt from them last year. Since then Samsung has made announcements, Dyson, and many others. 2019 / 2020 seems to be the year we start seeing Solid state batteries just as EVs start being rolled out.
