  1. We have actually had some very bad patches from the Forum software company and a few other corruption issues. More than just user error
  2. Celeron or what us insiders call cellary chips stick around due to the power management, but they suck at actually doing more than web browsing and power point presentations. Would never recommend one to someone. Pentium's are around for the Gamers. Amazing how many people who are on teams always talk about the Pentium. Think it is marketing more than anything else but they do seem to have as you stated a place in embedded devices and small entertainment box's. Any serious power user / gamer will go i9 all the way. Still very interesting to see how far Intel is pushing some chips and ways.
  3. And they say that is supposed to be safer than having a butt warmer seat switch in the back for the person to do it themselves. Riiiigggghhhhhttttt! I honestly while loving their tech, have come to hate the way they are running sales. Would rather deal with a traditional auto dealer than have to deal with Tesla mess of auto purchasing and ownership. Right now the stores have not impressed me, the auto's are all way too small. All I want is a full size SUV EV.
  4. My gut tells me they will FAIL. Fiat is a FAILURE, ALFA is back from the Grave by ROBBING the profits of Jeep, Ram, Dodge, Chrysler. Yet the Quality of both name plates are terrible. Billions spent, very little return compared to the abuse that the name plates that keep making profits take. Over all, I was hoping for the DS line, but clearly that is not what they think can work.I do not believe like the story says that PSA is stupid, but I do think they are not acting fast enough and are not looking down the road long enough to what they really need to do here. I think a socialist car company with poor quality issues is going to fail long term and some European gov is going to have to bail them out or let market dynamics play out and kill it.
  5. Ya want your partners to be ready to support all the products you have coming out but not before you get a chance to announce it. OOPS, Fujitsu released their product line and all compatible CPUs that will work on their motherboards. Yup. we now see the whole Enchilada. Would hate to be the person who signed off on this or released the info before it's time. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/intel-9th-generation-cpu-list-specs,38754.html Intel 9th Generation CPUs Cores / Threads Base / Boost Freq. 6. In the 70's, hell even in the 80's depending on dress and environment it could be fine. In todays world of the #metoo movement, nope, would be taken as offensive no matter the tone. Would be better to just be honest if what the person is wearing is not pleasing to the eyesight or just call it beautiful if that is what your looking at. Sadly todays politically correct world we live in is just sucking big time.
  7. Looks Cool kids should love it, parents as well as it does not have the blood n guts of first person shooters. Wish them well with their launch.
  8. Cadillac Korea is doing a live Instagram calling it Reborn CT6.
  9. Korea Cadillac is now doing a live introduction to the market of the CT6 sedan.
  10. @Drew Dowdell Fiat showed off their new Centoventi Concept Electric CUV today. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1121930_fiat-concept-centoventi-electric-car-opens-mopar-toolbox-looks-beyond-500e#image=19 Ford has a patent for turning your F150 Pickup bed into Party Central. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/ford-patent-mounted-theater-system-truck-bed/ VW has confirmed today that they are still 100% investigating how to bring the Atlas Pickup to the US. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/volkswagen-pickup-truck-usa-ford-ranger/ First drive of the Mini Cooper EV mule. https://www.autoblog.com/2019/03/05/mini-cooper-se-battery-ev-review/ I will have to say that the DeVinci EV Concept Coupe is Sexy as hell for a Car. Love the Gull wing doors and the Interior. https://www.autoblog.com/2019/03/08/italdesign-davinci-concept-two-door-gt-ev/ BMW which had anounced they would export from China the BMW iX3 electric CUV has now informed the world today that this will be a Chinese only model for now. That is a shame as it was a normal looking EV. I wonder if the importing into the US was an issue with the current political climate here. https://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2019/03/bmw-takes-its-evs-from-china-plan-off-the-burner/ Seems TESLA has gone full self driving update with their auto's again on their web site. All new feature info is here: https://www.tesla.com/autopilot Lots of cool news!
  11. Totally agree with you. With the Supercharged motor in the Corvette, they so could build an awesome performance line of SUV/CUVs.
  12. Japanese journalists await Carlos Ghosn who was expected to be released from Jail on bail after the Tokyo court granted the bail request. Ghosn lawyer's office said it would be near impossible for him to be released the same day due to an appeal by the prosecutor's office. Ghosn was granted bail set at $1 billion yen or equal to $9 million US at today's exchange rate. Ghosn is 64 and head of the auto alliance of Nissan Motors, Mitsubishi Motors, and Renault. He was arrested in 2018 on suspicion of underreporting his income by more than $80 million US dollars and saddling Nissan with his personal investment losses, allegations he denies. Ghosn new legal team was able to get bail granted on the conditions he will be kept under guard locally with limited to no outside information. Ghosn has claimed that the executives of Nissan are responsible for his arrest as they plotted and committed treason to prevent him from bringing Nissan further under Renault's control. While Carlos Ghosn has resigned from the CEO position on all three companies, he remains on the boards of all three companies. Yet now that he is out on bail he seems to be insulting the average workers of Japan and according to various stories, his new legal team has apologized for advising the former CEO to leave jail in a disguise being taken away in a work van with ladders attached to the roof. Local news outlets have mocked the costume drama bringing more attention than if he had just left on his own in normal business attire and in a business auto. Ghosn is one of the highest-profile detainees which also has made him one of the most famous now. Ghosn was seen later in the day walking with two women, one believed to be his wife and the other his daughter in a Tokyo park by where he will be living surrounded by press and still wearing the blue baseball cap and sunglasses. 14. I totally get what your saying as both cars and CUV's have become very bland and that is why I clearly state the two SUVs that I did as they stood out from the crowd. We really need some exciting changes. @Matt 967 Welcome Matt to Cheers and Gears. Look forward to your input here and learning more about what you drive and like and thoughts on the auto industry. Again, Welcome!
  15. Weird, but since I posted this 40 min ago, I just got my first notification and now it is bolded and appears to be working fine. Weird. ?‍♂️
  16. No Mommy Mobile. I am looking for a modern Typhoon, Trailblazer SS EV style. Not more of the drag my ass on low riding cars that get lost in the deluge of coupe style blandness.
  17. I give ya a new old beef ? you can have with me. Maybe Buick of China will bring the Skylark back as a Performance EV! ? Course I will say this is sexy as hell! 1954 Skylark
  18. Awesome, what ever you did seems to have fixed the toolbar at the top and I can get around pretty much normal. I do notice that the notifications for new posts shows up, but when I click on the bell, they all look the same. Before the new posts were bold but not anymore. The rest of the site seems to be working much better than when I posted last night. THANK YOU!!! You ROCK!!!!
  19. Pretty, but been there done that, Yawn. Not interested in a car, What does Acura have for revolutionary CUV?
  20. That is very cool, wish more would realize that Benz is not the center of the auto world and not the original creator.
  21. Lots on the EV charging front that I have been swamped by work for our tradeshow to write about. VW Charging Stations: https://chargedevs.com/newswire/volkswagen-group-components-to-produce-fast-charging-station-with-storage/ More Wireless Charging options for Auto's. I honestly think we will see the Plug in pig tails go away fast as Wireless charging parking spots take over: https://chargedevs.com/newswire/mahle-licenses-wireless-ev-charging-technology-from-witricity/ https://chargedevs.com/newswire/witricity-acquires-qualcomm-halo/ New EV Charging networks to offer extreme fast charging in California to challange traditional and state provided as well as existing providers. https://chargedevs.com/newswire/propel-fuels-to-launch-ev-charging-network-in-california/ BP invests in Chinese charging platform Powershare for use in China and Globally at gas stations: https://chargedevs.com/newswire/bp-invests-in-chinese-charging-platform-powershare/ Tesla release a CCS adapter that will ship standard with all European auto shipments to plug into non-Tesla chargers. https://chargedevs.com/newswire/tesla-makes-ccs-adapter-standard-on-new-european-model-s-and-x-vehicles/
  22. This +1,000,000,000,000 to the power of 10. Totally agree, while not an Apple Fan, Jobs kept people on the edge of their seat with excitement and drove folks to spend money in the Apple Stores and Cell Phone Providers. That is clearly falling off as to why Apple no longer reports cell phone sales. Mary has done great for GM in turning a Ship around and is needed to keep it in the black and on course, but she needs to let Product Visionaries drive the rest of the auto business. In regards to Auto Visionaries, I am hoping Mary B is doing that and we will all judge it once we see Cadillac's first EV CUV. If it is spacious and luxurious to drive folks into buy, then she is balancing leadership with product driven sales. The next 18-24 months are going to be interesting.
  23. Not sure if I am overlooking this or not, while I like the way posts now show up in this new updated version, I do have a challenge in getting to the Forum list of threads as from the home page I do not find where to go to get the forum list. The minimalist tool bar at the top has gotten too minimalist. This is what I see: Getting to this page I was lucky as I typed in /forums after the www.cheersandgears.com address in my browser.
  24. Use that metal circle stamp thingy you posted a pic of to stamp into the fender Invicta GS.
