Crashes Rise in States with Legalized Marijuana
Totally agree that there is much vagueness to this. There should be clear DUI, here in Washington they do have a test machine that is a drug swab test. All state, county and city police are trained on the physical signs to look for and then the test to see how much they have in their system. Nothing is perfect, but they do have the DUI broke down by the two types. Also, this does not seem to take into account the growth of the states that have legalized it. Due to High Tech Jobs, Washington state has really grown in the last couple years. 6% increase in accidents could just be normal for the millions that have moved here. I know that Washington, California , Colorado and I have heard Oregon is also going to the Drug Swab test that is accurate and holds up in court. There is a BIG point missing here. The Millions saved on jail space, court time, etc. from removing POT and the arrest, process, etc. that goes with it being criminalized. EDIT: https://lcb.wa.gov/mj2015/faqs_i-502 This is the Washington state FAQ on POT. Our law states the following for DUI: The initiative sets a per se DUI limit of "delta-9" THC levels at greater than or equal to 5 nanograms per milliliter of blood (5 ng/mL). State and local law enforcement agencies are tasked with enforcing the DUI limit.

Yet let's admit that auto's period are all overpriced. If our salary went in sync with auto prices, we all would be making $500,000 a year.

Porsche News: Porsche Plans On Pricing Upcoming Taycan Between Cayenne and Panamera
Pricing that is competitive with Tesla is where it will start for some companies. Others will try for a notch above Bolt / Leaf IMHO.

@Cubical-aka-Moltar Thanks I saw it and snapped a pic real quick on my way to the bus yesterday. Thought it was the trax. Your right Vue is bigger, but the interior space on the bolt look more spacious.

Want a 60 kWh Nissan Leaf? Plan to pay a $5,500 premium plus over the 40 kWh version.
According to Cars Direct who got access to the ordering guide, Nissan dealers can now order up the Nissan Leaf with the 60 kWh battery pack. The long range EV go into production in January 2019 with Spring 2019 delivery. It now appears that the Leaf will hit the same price as the Chevy Bolt with the top of the line Leaf SL costing $42,500 compared to the fully loaded Bolt at $41,780. Differences is that the Leaf has a 225 mile EPA range where the Bolt is certified at 238 miles. According to Push EV who says they got their hands on slides and other information on the 60 kWh battery will come with a 160 kW motor replacing the 110 kW motor that comes with the 40 kWh battery. Nissan also has added 100 kW DC fast charging along with 11-22 kW internal charger power. Both of these are upgraded from the current 6,6 kW internal charger power and 50 kW DC fast charging for the 40 kW battery EV. The last piece of info is that Nissan with the new battery pack drops their lack of thermal mgmt. based on using air for a liquid thermal mgmt. system on the new battery pack which is supplied by LG Chemical rather than AESC the provider of the 40 kW battery pack which was owned by Nissan and sold summer 2018 to LG Chem. Either way there is now 2 alternatives to a Tesla 3 and Nissan and Chevrolet still has their Federal rebate where Tesla is out it seems as of the end of October. The next question for Nissan that fans have been asking is when is the Nismo version going on sale now that they have their new 60 kWh battery? Cars Direct Story Push EV Story

Perfect side by side, Bolt and Saturn Vue. So much more interior space in the bolt compared to the Vue. Thanks Cubicle for spotting the difference. Fixed above.

RBW Classic Cars Enters the 21st Century
The founder of RBW Classic Cars fell in love at the age of 17 to his first car, the MG Roadster released in 1962. This car styled by Pininfarina went on to sell 520,000 and became so popular that 9 out of 10 of the MG's built were exported out of the country becoming a true British Classic. The second car that became an obsession for our founder was the Jaguar XKSS. RBW Classic Cars started the business of restoration of these two lovely cars and for many years the business grew and to this day still does custom restoration work on original MG and XKSS cars. Yet the wind is blowing and the founder is reading the tea leaves. With Tea in his palm, RBW Classic Electric Cars was created. RBW Classic Electric Cars has chosen to lovingly re-craft your choice of a RBW Roadster or RBW XKSS from all new metal in building brand new recreation classics. Available in left and right hand drive available with custom color schemes and trim specification that you choose after your test drive. Upon your test drive and having fallen in love, a 40% down payment is required and the rest upon delivery anywhere in the world. RBW Classic Electric Cars Website

Fuel Efficiency Record for New Auto's Hits U.S.
The U.S. government in 1975 created CAFE and since that time the push was to make new auto's more fuel efficient. The auto industry has always balked at it but has also always delivered. With that we have seen some interesting trends happen. In 1987 the average auto weighed 3,221 lbs and had 118 horsepower were as in 2008 the weight had increased by 25% and the horsepower had doubled. 2009 is the most current year for full records and that shows that new auto's achieved 22.4 MPG. With a strong economy we are also seeing people leave their efficient cars and move to trucks / suv's so this could really change again. To quote the story of other interesting facts: V8 engines were in 62 percent of all light duty vehicles in 1975, 17 percent in 2008 and 12 percent in 2009. Truck production fell to 40 percent of the 2009 fleet which is down from 47 percent in 2008, the lowest level since 1995. Overall fuel efficiency is up 16 percent since 2004. According to the EPA the "real world" fuel economy ratings are nearly 20 percent lower on average than the ratings used for compliance with the CAFE standards. With the trend towards larger trucks and SUVs one would think the CAFE would drop for OEMs. Yet with the stricter CAFE guidelines we should still see the average fleet hit mid 30's this year. 2019 I-Pace First Drive
Seems Jag is finally delivering to those that pre-purchased the iPace. Family is according to the news story a total jag family and this is their first EV to replace an ICE auto. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1119381_jaguar-delivers-first-i-pace-electric-crossover-in-north-america To quote the story: It is, however, replacing a gasoline vehicle. His family of six is, no exaggeration, a Jaguar family, with the household’s roster of former vehicles including two XKRs, an XJ, two F-Types, and an F-Pace; they also currently have an F-Type R. The family has been through a series of three-row SUVs, but with a daughter off to college, the five-passenger I-Pace will be enough—and the family hopes to use it to visit relatives for the holidays. From what we’ve experienced so far, legroom is ample for adults in the back seat, and there’s a standard of fit and finish in a luxurious cabin that outdoes any Tesla—and yes, that includes the Model 3. Yea, I think Tesla is going to be hurting by the end of next year as more and more EV options come out. Exciting times we live in!

Chevrolet News:Chevrolet's 2019 Blazer Might Not Be the Deal They Want You To Believe
This blows as I like the looks of the Blazer, but GM seems to think they can play in the luxo price tier and not really offer any value in their Chevy line. Someone seems to have lost track of what bracket Chevy plays in especially in relation to Buick, GMC and Cadillac not to mention the competition.

Agree, they need to have a Monochromatic option or at least a Black Chrome option for those that do not like the Baby Boomer Bling look. I thought a Bratwurst was a Bratwurst regardless of size! ?

The grill is a bit much, but overall I like this way better than the MB or Audio options. Interior is very nice. I have to say I love the sky roof for all 3 rows. that is awesome. Now two german SUVs that I like, the EQC and this.

While I am very tall and muscular, as we well know, the bulk of America is getting bigger in girth and as such, I tend to think about everyone when it comes to a car, CUV, SUV, Truck that can hold people comfortably. I believe that all levels of auto's can be built to hold people comfy and not just be a driver focused auto. The only way change comes about is by pounding the drum for change.
