  1. Sad state of affairs but true that so many are badge snobs but then I am sure we have that on Cadillac too. Even with the official state auto being MB, they are still also a Chevrolet / Toyota equal auto company.
  2. Awesome, way to go, very happy for you guys and when your ready to move up, I am sure the Encore or maybe even the Envision will be a perfect fit for you.
  3. Kinda how MB has become the Toyota / Chevrolet of Europe and the world. No thanks, Cadillac has embraced their history in many ways in their current auto's and SUVs/CUVs. I suspect we will have a true telling by 2020 of Cadillac as it become a true luxury only auto maker and not Uber Luxury to cheap ass econo box auto that MB has become today along with semi's way too many taxis and so much more.
  4. Very Cool, awesome update. Wish GM would be faster to roll out this to all product lines now. I do wonder why the cars all get it for 2018, but not the Escalade or the CUVs. Guess 2019 for them.
  5. GM woke up to the real fact that as long as the Unions have the GOV in their pocket and are protected, they will not make money and it is the ultimate money pit. Time to cut losses and walk away. There is a reason why the asian brands never bought mainland European car companies. They knew better than to get connected with that union mess. As I said, if GM cannot unload Opel, then just shut it down and kill it. Best way to go.
  6. LOL, Mob Mobile over the Blah German strudel any day!
  7. Very Cool, I will say in the early days of my marriage 26 years ago, the wife was like you guys all about the car, snug in the low bucket seats. Now you cannot get her out of an SUV/CUV. Why? The high seating position, better road view of what is coming towards you and the bigger interior space. GM makes their CUV/SUVs drive like cars and better. I would say go back and redrive both again in the same order and she will probably clearly come away with the auto she wants to spend 30 miles each way in on her daily commute plus use for the rest of her drives. Both are awesome auto's, but Buick has truly built an exceptional CUV. Nice write up, looking forward to hearing what you guys decide on.
  8. Square up that nose to respect the original Cherokee and how awesome they were.

Broke the 100,000 miles on this little pocket rocket and it still drive hard. with all the maintenance and 100K service done. The car drives like new. Not a dent, ding or scratch on it. Overall, a keeper for the long haul.
  10. While Audi has had some interesting rides, I have never had the passion of WOW, I want one to drive. I would take between the two you posted the high mileage SRT8 since I can work on it myself when things start going south. Like Cubical, I would rather have a couple years old model of the SRT8.
  11. This would explain much about the stoppage of diesel certification by MB. They like VW have been lying for a long time.
  12. Bloody Unions will be the death of companies. I could see GM deciding to just kill off the product line and lay off everyone. Would not hurt the overall company in the long term and it would reduce the extreme surplus production capacity. These people have got to wake up to the fact that nothing lasts forever and nothing is a job for life.
  13. I could easily see them merge this to be in design language to match the rest of the auto lineup. Be interesting to see how much of a change this really becomes. Remember the original run away successful Cherokee was a brick on wheels that people loved. Will they moving in that direction, or just closer to having like type headlamps like the rest of the family?
  14. I have posted that already in other GMC threads about bringing back the Syclone and Typhoon. But for me they should do a TT V8 for the Yukon Denali. Making it differant than the Escalade which should have the V with the Supercharged V8.
  15. Wonder when GMC performance will offer a Twin Turbo Kit for the Yukon Denali? That would really set it apart from the Escalade which should have a V edition Escalade with the Supercharged V8 engine.
  16. Saw a bunch of new auto's over the weekend and was surprised to see so many new Power Wagons at the dealership. They just got them in and were not prepped yet for the lot, but covered in white plastic. Sunburst orange sure was popular for the trucks or at least the person that ordered them up.
  17. Sweet, Makes one wonder when they will bring back some full size vans. Seems the service sector needs them.
  18. Sweet Ride, Ya gonna tint the windows? Excited for you. always nice to drive a new ride.
  19. Lawsuit is totally baseless. Even though I love the performance of Diesel, we all know it is the dirtiest fuel around and I hate the black smoke and soot as much as most others. Never understood the stupid idiots that love to blow black toxic plums.
  20. Son's First Jeep after College, now retired for a new Grand Cherokee.

  23. You're missing the point as you seem to always do since your so drunk on your MB kool aid. The BOLT Engineering tech can be used for a wide range of auto's from Luxury to base entry level. MB is going to do that so why not GM!
  24. Very Cool, worth 4 min of your time. Amazing.
