  1. Hello McFly, I am a bit confused on this one. What is shorter and what is longer? Is the car physically longer but height is shorter? Or is the car physically shorter, height is longer? I am so confused: "Compared to the standard GLC, the Coupe is about 2.9 inches longer and 1.5 inches shorter." GLC =
  2. Sharp looking little bugger even with that fish sucking mouth of a front end. Though it does look like the nose got cut shorter than I remember for this car.
  3. Wish them all the best, we know this will be Honda Reliable, but the styling is blah and the packaging just does nothing for me. Yet I know the conservative Honda Faithful will buy it up.
  4. Yes you could and I see the visual clues that would give you that vibe, but do you really want to wish such an unreliable name plate product onto the Dart? Just saying, I know peeps will point out this is a mazda but still the linger of terrible products for ever built and left to rust in America before their first exit still stinks strongly in the mind!
  5. ^ +1 totally agree with the SRX should be renamed the XT3
  6. There is far more moving parts than 13 on a Tesla, Maybe 13 moving points on a single wheel due to the suspension, breaks, spindle, etc. but for sure more than 13 moving parts on their cars. According to the Tesla web site you can pay the following: Its $600 annual service and update program, Teslas technicians will inspect the cooling systems for the battery pack, drive motor, and power electronics to ensure that everything's in good working order yearly.
  7. Drew, are you guys trading in the Encore? Not any time soon... just already decided we need to move back up in size next time around. I'm going to eventually sell the Honda and replace it with a truck of some sort I could so see you in this lovely Beauty: 2013 Emerald Green EXT with only 11,292 miles, 1 owner clean paperwork. http://www.dougscadillac.com/VehicleDetails/certified-2013-Cadillac-Escalade_EXT-Premium_AWD-Shoreline-WA/2714644863 Then put your spouse in a new Buick Envision. The EXT is at my local Caddy dealer and was a senior owned auto, never smoked. truly like new. Sucker is sweet.
  8. Yea I take your shizzle and use it to enrich the planet!
  9. Very cool and I can see this being sold this way for another 1-2 years or till they have the Buick and Chevy replacements ready.
  10. I love the new interior over the old one. This is a solid update that will be noticed and the customers will love. Drew, are you guys trading in the Encore?
  11. Waiting till Early April for XT5 to show up at my caddy dealership to take it for a test drive.
  12. Hyper that is data from 2007/2008 so no Malibu Limited versus new numbers. I did find this interesting comparison of US versus Canada on current numbers. http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2011/01/chevrolet-malibu-sales-figures.html So I have spent considerable time searching the GM Media and find that after 2009 they went to a standardized reporting format that does not split out old versus new models being built and sold side by side. I could find nothing like that old 2007/08 report and only the new formats of one name and over all total built auto's.
  13. So question then if this is about Citroën's attempt to survive, what do they have to really offer the public that is different than everyone else? Style is Dead on Delivery for me. Interior flow is the same Dead for me. I do not see or read anything that would inspire they are bleeding edge technology above everyone else. So if this is for them to survive, then what are they really offering that is different other than style?
  14. While Many Baby Boomers aspired to own a Cadillac, many could not till they were used and sitting on 3rd hand used auto lots. Today, technology and leasing has allowed many to pretend to be wealthy while barely living paycheck to paycheck. Back onto our core topic of the XT5 and the Platform, I am excited to see what Cadillac brings to market with this platform and the various auto types and performance levels. I am also interested in seeing what luxury EV Cadillac does to compete against Tesla. Could a pure XT5 EV make sense with a Bolt type battery pack that is a bit bigger so you get 300-400 miles? I can see that a battery pack like this would give crazy stiffness to the over all handling of the auto.
  15. So Question, being a lover of Cadillac and I do love the CT6, why would they not want to use the BOLT battery pack on this thing giving it the industry the current best Hybrid car out there? At this price point it would KICK Tesla Butt. Imagen a CT6 with 225 mile range in pure electric mode and with the engine then give you another 3-400 miles. This would kick all luxury auto's around.
  16. ^ Excellent Point Drew, did not think about the "On the Shelf" parts. So then I can see them doing this to try and bring in cash under the current mess they are in.
  17. Interesting that both dealerships have NO pictures of the actual dealerships. http://www.maseratiofkirkland.com/?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=DealerOn%20-%20MASERATI%20OF%20KIRKLAND%20-%20Brand&utm_term=%2BMaserati%20%2BKirkland&utm_content=Maserati%20Of%20Kirkland http://www.alfaromeousaofkirkland.com/ Yet Google maps shows their real sitting point between all the cheap ass cars.
  18. Can the US market support another auto brand here? I have seen more and more analyst reports that there are far too many auto brands in the world and for those that have been invested in and are struggling to survive, they see the US as the black money bag to wealth. Bigger question, is what does their auto's bring to the table that would be a game changer over existing auto's already here? Yes some will like the French auto design language, but not all and as we have already seen, US spec auto's fail in Europe so I do not think the DS as is would make it here. On top of this memory of Peugeot is they are no different than Fiat, crappy auto's, terrible quality and reliability. Perception, this is going to be hard to change
  19. You so hit the Nail ON the HEAD! I will have to take a picture of the latest and greatest Alfa / Masarati dealership in Kirkland Washington which sits between a Fiat and Dodge/Ram/Jeep/Chrysler dealership. It looks pathetic. Who in their right mind is going to buy a 6 figure auto that is sitting next to a cheap 5 figure auto. Having a 150,000 auto sit next to the 15,000 one does not encourage rich to come to your lot.
  20. I know they spent the R&D on this already and it was clearly started before the Diesel implosion, but I question if this was the right auto to have now as VW is hurting for cash and a Subaru this is not. Initially it will sell but I do not think in the numbers they would like.
  21. Does Toyota not already have auto's in this size catagory? Why not just kill em off?
  22. Let them have this segment, I see MB eventually imploding under their own weight of becoming the Chevy of everything with a rebadge on both their FWD appliances and the boring RWD appliances. This even goes for the over whoring AMG badge now. Let BMW follow the same model and blow up. It did not work for others and in the long run it will not work for them either. After all in 10 years people will look at what used to be a luxury badge and say that is no different than a Ford or Chevy. I can get all that and save a butt load of money with an American name plate. Badge snobs are the only ones that will continue to over pay for just average auto's.
  23. Those decals are optional add-ons for the Trailhawk models. Thanks Drew, that is good to know as I think for me that flat decals are just not cutting it, more of a monochromatic guy in having it understated rather than having ugly decals.
  24. UGLY Ugly car of terrible reliability and a bad history. Should have been left in the history books and not have the billions wasted that I personally believe went mostly into a few select friends of Sergio pockets. I doubt they really spent the billions stolen and raped from the American name brands. While I hate for anything to happen to Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Chrysler, I really want this to blow up in Serfio's face and for him to be fired. He is an IDIOT, Political butt kissing moron.
