    Ouch if that college test the MB auto's and comes up with the same results, this could be a big black eye to MB. I have often wondered about the rest of the German auto companies as they all buy from Bosch. Makes one think why would this not happen at the others.

    Very cool, I love level playing field testing like this. Cannot wait for the report to be published as I am interested in who had "Strange Irregularities". Now Weird is that Audi and Porsche are not listed as they both have admitted on their diesels to using the same software. So their auto's should be failing the tests.

    WOW, Listen to them just rip apart the nickel and dime BS of BMW that comes standard on the Camaro! BMW has finally really failed! Love the Knock about Overhead dual cams. As many of us have stated, the small block V8 still rules over turbo! Hats off to Chevy, Camaro is a superior sports car. Gotta love their quotes.

    That is easily done. Here in Seattle many have added solar panels to fuel their house and EV auto. Costco has some awesome solar panel kits you can buy and either install yourself or pay to be professionally installed.

    Looks like a good tire, like the sipping it has for getting water out of the way and for better traction. Having never had cooper, what is the life expectancy? I know I can always count on my BG Goodrich tires to get me between 85-100K miles. Though I do monitor air pressure and make sure everything is where it should be far more than most. Was looking at my receipt due to what you have stated as $1K price for 4 of the BFG for your truck. What is your tire size? For my Durango, it is 31 x 10.50 - 15 Which is $161 per tire mounted, balanced, road hazard, etc. With Washington State sales tax it was $705.18 at Discount Tire. These by the way are more expensive than the KO2 tires which were $157.00 each.

    I have to agree, both my kids learned to drive manuals but work and live in the city so auto's they have especially with all the hills around Seattle. I love manuals but find with everything else going on in life, auto's are the best solution and the manual is what I would want for a cruiser weekend auto. Sadly what limited selection there is has be reduced to having auto's in everything now.

    This is an AWESOME Post! +1 from me! Well Done! Arctic beaver? Like...snow bunnies? Yeah...I like to gnaw on snow bunnies also....especially the Arctic Beaver part... That is a Sweet 5 Pack of Snow Bunnies. I would enjoy gnawing on them too!

    Wasn't that the first car with radar cruise control or something like that? I think it's ugly but in a cool, unique, and innovative way. I could be wrong but from my research yes it was as far as I can tell but hopefully Balthy will pop in and confirm as the master of all things well aged!

    I hope not., The ability of that thing is nothing to write home about. Very true, the i3 is ugly on top of awefull. Having a neighbor with one, I was not impressed at all with it and just short of 1 year he traded it in as it never lived up to the expectations BMW marketed it as. The i8 on the other hand is nice and exciting but as a hand crafted car, it is also another nightmare that BMW mechanics hate to work on. Clearly not a well thought out car.

    So what did you not get out of the half moons that you get out of crushed? Easier to chew? I have family members that have also flipped back n forth between cube or crushed and never understood why. I have been a cube person all my life so I am truly interested as to why a person likes crushed over cubed?

    I have to say he led some very exciting designs at GM. I loved this concept even though many had mixed feelings about it. 1959 Cadillac Cyclone Concept Wonder if GMC got the Syclone name from this beast? I would also love to see sliding doors on modern cars today as it allows one to park in tight spots and the ease of entry and exit is awesome. No not a Cadillac Minivan, but have the CT and XT doors open like this.

    Common Sense would be that GM create a Carbon Fiber base that is used by Corvette, Camaro, as well as a halo car for Buick and Cadillac. There would be no sense to spend $1 Billion alone on Cadillac and I suspect that BMW did not spend this amount for their own Carbon Fiber structure and body panels. I can also see the VOLT moving to the Carbon Fiber replacing many steel areas and using just a select amount of high strength steel with mostly carbon Fiber.

After more than 50,000+ leases reviewed at swapalease.com shows that woman more than men enjoy driving a manual trans. Sadly this seems to point to the save the manual campaign as failing as manual auto purchases are a dying breed. According to the data, leases on Manual auto's have dropped by 22%. In 2012 85.4% of Manual Trans leases were by men, 2015 that number had dropped to 81.2%. Woman on the other hand in 2012 was 14.6% of their leases were a manual transmission but in 2015 that number has rose to 18.8%. Now more and more editorials are clarifying that as a road trip car, manuals are more fun, but as a daily driver for work, they are terrible. So what do you guys think. Is this a trend that Manuals could disappear from the roads of North America in the near future or will they survive but only in select performance based auto's or what? Sound Off

    Inductive charging is already available now so I can see small rural towns having their own pads in their driveway allowing charging of their auto and at the same time when needed pulling power from the car during a storm that takes out power. Has to start somewhere and with BOLT and about a year after Chevy Nissan having Gen 2 Leaf with a 200+ mile battery also, I think we will see more EV auto's in the next 18-24 months. Tesla will also help this grow with the T3.
