So MSN hosted Car & Drivers Truck Rankings from Worst to Best and I find much the information as expected but have to question their #1 Truck. http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/autos-trucks/every-full-size-truck-ranked-from-worst-to-first/ss-BBkumMw?ocid=UP94DHP#image=1 When they even state that the Porky F150 now is close to competing with the Silverado on weight, does an Aluminum body really qualify it as the #1 best truck in comparison to the Chevy or GMC? Read the Rankings and stated info, then state your own judgement and let the public decide if this is right!

Good news, Your future mother in-law forgave you for the carpet and understands your getting a new one. Better yet, FBI, SEC and IRS arrested your hellish old boss and closed the books on your company. Bad news, You still have to figure out how to get the rug from the truck trapped in the tunnel between Washington and Michigan.

Ram News: Don't Expect A Midsize Truck From Ram
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Ram
Ram would do well to ignore the mid size market and go with compact. The compact market is just waiting to explode with solid high mileage trucks. Perfect example is the Chevy Luv / Isuzu Pup trucks with diesel and they did outstanding on gas mileage and met most suburban and inner city owners needs. Not everything needs to be Crewcab size. I truly believe they could rule the compact market by taking the Cherokee platform or the Wrangler and build a compact truck that would be very successful. Ford left their compact ranger to rot and yet still sold a ton of them showing a market for a compact truck does exist. America could get their butts kicked if China brings in a cheap Compact truck that does what most inner city and suburban people want. bed capacity of 1000lbs, towing of 2000lbs and no more. 1982 Chevy Luv Diesel was 30 City/ 36 highway. http://www.aboutautomobile.com/Fuel/1982/Chevrolet/LUV Just think how a compact truck with a modern diesel or CNG engine would rock in the High 30's low 40's or better.- 30 replies

AWD with the proper tire combo for the weather I would take over any FWD or RWD. Just love the extra grip and pull of AWD.- 70 replies

Good News: The company asks you to review all the fired boss info with the FBI, SEC and IRS to help clean up the mess you inherited and they are giving you a bonus for cleaning up a dark moment for the company. Bad News: Your future mother in laws Persian rug is a total loss. Nothing like blending two stories into one!

I will pass on both the MuTang and the Miata. Give me a New Typhoon any day over these cars.

Be interesting to see who the last man standing is once all these high end over priced SUV's are for sale and if they recover the R&D cost.

I have had those and I always use water from the inside of the filter to push the dirt back out the incoming side. I first vacumed it and then hosed it out. After a good run and what looks like clean water, I then let it dry in the sun and put it back on. Mine have worked really well for me so far. Thanks for the response! No soap? Any idea as to why they don't suggest a more thorough cleaning method, or are they just trying to get you to buy a replacement every few years? I be honest that mine has almost 100K miles on it and I suspect they do not want a better cleaning as they want you to continue to buy them every so many years. Thinking about it I did use spray n wash 1 time on it and another time I used Downy as they both removed the dirt / grease that had gotten on it and after drying it was good as new. Thanks for bringing this up as I have not checked mine in a while. Will do it tonight.

G-Class Quality, Lettuce Count the Ways

So MB needs to replace the current garbage SUV with their concept. Much better than the current model. Course you could say we had our G Wagon day also. 1965 Ford Squire! -
Saw a New tagged Cadillac CTS-V Station Wagon. They had just bought it. Only had their paper tag in the rear window. Less than a 1000 miles on the auto, clearly been sitting for a long while on the dealer lot.

The future speaks to Hybrids becoming the standard power train with an electric motor moving the auto and a small 2, 3 or 4 cylinder engine being a generator. Just a mater of time till the current small auto engines are replaced with true small tiny generators and a step up transformer to give the current needed to the battery pack and electric motor. The days of V12, V10 and even V8's are numbered. Sad but true.

We'll since we changed the style of flow from a single good to bad on the next post to good and went with good and bad on the same post, I will adjust to the new flow. Good News, your outgoing Director who was paid $300,000 a year gets a bit tipsy at her going away party and is telling you interesting tidbits about the dynamics of others so you know what to expect. Bad News, she also let slip that she feared not finding a decent replacement for you at your last appraisal and when they wanted to promote you and she torpedoed you on purpose to keep you from leaving.

Wonder when Canada, US and Mexico will become the United North American Union. Just one big happy family of workers.

G-Class Quality, Lettuce Count the Ways

No... it's lazily retro.... Mercedes has left it to age like an old gym sock tossed on the side of the street yet... they're sales have been on the rise the past 10 years.. Remember, it is built based on militaty vehicles(it's original intent). They're very badass vehicles off road and there are very few vehlicles that could touch it off road, let alone with heated and cooled seats. Throw in the AMG version and you'll also be able to out run some pretty tough cars at the drag strip as well. I get a superior ride in the Escalade which has the heated and cooled seats before MB ever did them plus it goes off road just fine and you want performance, then just add the GM Supercharger performance kit and you have a V edition of the escalade. Yet even without it, I have not seen sales slow down for the escalade. -
I usually am in agreement with you and your thoughts and opinions....not this one though. Dated? Well, one could use that term. I prefer to use classic styling. Too small for Americans? Maybe some Americans could lose some weight....not Porsche's problem if some American's are overweight... And if you are not referring to fatness but referring to that some Americans are above 6ft tall...dont forget....this a German sports car...Germans are over 6ft tall too... Technically....that classic Porsche 911 look dates back further than the 1980s...the first 911 was produced in 1963 with that "look"....but before we go anyfurther...there was a Porsche 356 in 1948 that had this now famous look...so...that would make Porsche 911 production at 52 years with basically the same look and shape and design...and maybe we could actually stretch to 66 years with the same look... 1948 Porsche 356 Its fine that you would not spend money on this car...quite frankly...I dont think Porsche gives a crap... Porsche has a very loyal following...the 911 has an even bigger loyal following...Porsche must be something right...especially with the 911... For this model to only evolve in design for 66 years...and people still flock to it...its because Porsche has perfected this design...and...66 years of refining and perfecting...and racing and perfecting...and innovating and perfecting... Sure...the look is the same...but the car itself...is as close to perfection as one could get to...in elegant design and engineering... PS: This coming from a guy that has a Screaming Chicken as a picture for a profile...an overgrown and overweight mid-sized muscle car as to how the original formula was put into place in 1964 which the car is still considered mid-sized but its closer to full sized muscle in reality...and an internet handle that clearly states where my allegiance stands...point being...I am not into small cars...especially foreign ones...and the only reason why I prefer a Vette over the 911...is because American... PSS: If this post sounds a tad aggressive...it is not meant to be aggressive...and I am sorry if it does... Good Solid Post with Valid points made. Many of you from MT do not know me but at 6'6" tall and 300lbs of muscle, fat I am not, just Shrek size and all I own is full size SUV's except for the wifes ride of the Trailblazer SS. I credit Porsche with tweaking this driving machine over the years but I for one cannot sit in them at all and I find them for small people. I am German but I know few folks from the mother land that love these cars. I hear from relatives that they are built for the small Europeans who feel they are drowning in all other larger performance auto's. No need to apologize, I feel there is nothing aggressive about your post but some understandable well stated thoughts, facts and solid statements of why you feel the way you feel. Nice Job!

The approved Continental is trying to hard to look like a Jaguar but with edge. I actually do like the MKR a bit more but not much more. both are cool concepts but not what I would want in production.
