The thing is though, if we wanna praise horsepower...Bugatti has had 1000 horsepower for over a decade. Bugatti right now has 1500 HP. On good 'ole ICE. On good 'ole ICE, WW2 airplanes have had 1500-2000 HP. But we are on the same page here. I loved what you said about Tesla's performance numbers are on heavy, family hauling sedans and not super touchy, super expensive, space deficient exotic cars. THAT is incredible. And what Tesla could do with their motors, batteries, softwares and everything else Tesla is known for... @balthazar once said that, and I really believe in what he said, is that the next big frontier in the EV world WILL be weight. The next EV maker that could get weight down with batteries and the like, WILL win the next EV battle and thus win market share.

Ive read somewhere that emission regs will be so tight that NO internal combustion engine will be able to pass it. No need to ban ICE when they wont be able to pass the regs. But this way though, an ICEV could be driven to race tracks and the like. Its just that ICEVs wont be able to be driven in the urban environment. Big cities all over the world are seeing that to happen. An EV Corvette WILL be faster than a regular V8 Vette. Corvette engineers will see it through. The top of the line Zora is said to be a very powerful hybrid Vette. 1000 horsepower. 800 some odd V8 horsies and 200 some odd EV horsies powering the front wheels making the Vette AWD. Scheduled for 2025-2026. But...THAT could all change. The Grand Sport was supposed to be coming. The LT2 V8 with wide and aero of the Z06. Instead...Chevy will do the E-Ray. A hybrid with the same amount of the projected Grand Sport horsepower and torque... So...nothing says to me that in 2025 or 2026 maybe Chevy makes an all electric Zora with 1000 HP and AWD and just ditch the V8 all together... Or they keep the Zora as a hybrid and Chevy does an all EV Vette supplanting the Zora. Or...an all EV Vette becomes the C9. Which I ALSO read somewhere. Well...there IS a faster version coming as the Mustang Mach E GTis due in the coming weeks...if not out already. No tests have been done yet on either a long rang Mach E or the GT. But yeah...Cobra, Shelby and Super Snake versions are probably in the works right about NOW making even FASTER Mach Es... Dont forget that a long range Mach E is out due soon in the next couple of weeks.... The Savage Geese video featured the mid level Mach E. The Model Y was a higher level Model Y. The Mustang Mach E that was in the Savage Geese video was pretty spot on where a Model Y was. Take the lower ranged Model Y and the mid-level Mach E has a longer range. The long range Mach E might be able to equate the range of the Model Y...tests need to be done...and the GT might be as fast as the top Model Y. Any way you slice it...the Mach E EQUALS the Model Y. The only thing that lets the Mach E down is the charging system...but THAT is more on the push/pull politics of the USofA regarding EVs rather than the Mach E being an inferior product to the Tesla. And regarding EV charging infrastructure...depending on what reality you choose to believe, that infamous push/pull Im talking about is what is letting EVs down in the US. Anywhere else in the world, options seem to be the only obstacle. But as options are opening up, EV sales are going up. In Europe, ICEV sales were down last year. But BEVs were way way up. Despite a pandemic. And coincidentally, many European manufactures also offered many alternatives to Tesla this past year.

Seeing the pic (would you call that a thumbnail?) on the vid and then watching the video...all I kept on hearing in my mind was this lyric : "I think its so groovy now!"

Episodes 6 and 7 on Sandy Munro's road trip are not worthy of a posting. Episode 7 is both funny and cringe. BUT...Episode 5 on his tear down of the Model 3 is a must to be viewed. What I got from this small window: Tesla is learning to engineering cars and to manufacture them, but they are improving at a snail's pace. The Model Y is an example of how Tesla could be all across the board, yet on the 2021 Model 3, they havent fully embraced the improvements. The production of the 2021 Model 3 is an improvement over the 2018 version, but not enough. The Model Y which shares many components with the Model 3 is an improvement over the Model 3 including the 2021 version. But it baffles me (with Sandy's opinions in mind) as to why they wont go to the extra lengths to improve the Model 3 the way they might have with the Model Y.

Yeah...I see that! When I was younger, I had constant nose bleeds. (When the climate be too dry). My mom took me to the doctor and he shove this tall match like thing up my nose to lessen the nose bleeds. I had done that 3 or 4 times. So the feeling of having a test swab shoved up my nose was not a new thing for me. The pleasant surprise was there was no burning sensation as it was with a nose bleed. But yeah...doing THAT daily would definitely not be a thing Id like to do! PS: Thanx to your wife for staying tough and helping us all out! Health workers have ALWAYS been important to our society. NOW more than ever!

Emissions standards all over the world after 2030 or 2035 say otherwise for ANY internal combustion engine. Im all for the Corvette to retain its V8 engine as long as its possible. Until its V8 cant pass emissions any longer. If by any chance, ICE engineers can somehow engineer a V8 (not JUST any ICE like a 4 banger, but a V8... Corvette, right?) to pass the inevitable highly impossible emissions, then Ill be ecstatic about a V8 Corvette in a EV world. But lets not kid ourselves here.... Pie in the sky scenarios aside, I hope we all understand that the world no longer wants the ICE. I hope we could understand that BEVs are what is next in our future for our personal transportational needs. Be it in 2035 or 2055....its coming... Especially when GM has said to have stopped working on new generation internal combustion engines. Oh...they will updated this new LT2 in the coming decade, but as is, this engine will never pass the impossibly high emissions to come in 2030 or 2035. And seeing that development money is zero for a next gen Chevy small block, this would be the last gen V8 GM will produce.

Despite what was said... yeah...I think you are right about being" in an untrusted car with randos (like an Uber ride, taxi ride, ride in the back of a police car, etc) or you are in your own car with randos or other resource units not in your immediate household."

https://ca.yahoo.com/news/opening-car-windows-could-reduce-165700273.html But Gary Numan said that Here in my car, I can feel safest of all. I can lock all my doors... Its the only way to live...in cars. What is this bulllshyte talk about opening up windows, now? You know...Ive started to think If I open my windows, the image breaks down I dont really want you...visiting me Stay 6 phoquing feet away from me, in cars. Im leaving tonight Before the image breaks down....in cars.

Its freakin' cold here today. No snow fall since the last time we chit chatted, but the temps sure did dip. We just came back from our Covid testing. Not as bad as people make it out to be. We'll get our results in 24 hours about.

I forgot to mention: My daughter did not hang around that boy because she thinks he is stupid. All of his friends too. She also said that he had missed the last 2 school days. There are several good news to this: 1. Is that she hasnt had any symptoms for at least that many days and even longer... Could be that she is asymptomatic, but if she has it and now I and the other members of our family have it, well, we havent showed signs of Covid either. 2. Is that she thinks that boys are stupid. She is 15 and quite smart and quite cute. I also know that she thinks that most boys are stupid! 3. She still finds boys stupid at 15! I dont have to worry about stupid boys for a tad longer!

So...a little bit of backstory. Senior high school kids in Quebec go to school every 2nd day. Their off day they do they do the zoom thing. They are also separated by bubbles. (Cue in Seinfeld's Bubble Boy episode RIGHT HERE) I got a call from my daughter yesterday that a kid from her class/bubble got tested positive for Covid. So I had to pick her up from school because she (and all of her classmates that are in the same bubble) wasnt allowed on the school bus (and my boy although he was able to take the bus home) Anyway...long story short. I got an e-mail letter from le Gouvernement du Québec health département that my daughter and anybody and everybody living in the same house as her gots to get tested for Covid-19. So...yippee!!! I get to get tested for Covidness tomorrow!

Well...way to go to turn the tables on me like that... But Ill have to agree on leaving that car alone, only to repair and restore it where needed and continue driving it. That is why I asked the question to begin with.

E5 of Sandy Munro's road trip He says he barely squeezed in a charging point and that there were only two spots available. Im curious now more than ever to find about his battery and range details... He also said that his wife asked him to eat better food other than gas station hot dogs. LOL. He also hinted that he took a look at a Faraday Future and he said that its a nice car and he is impressed by it. Nothing else was said about it but he will go into detail about it later on.

So...yank that Slant 6 and Demonize the Charger it is then! Or in this case...Viperize it!
-
I do not know where this is, but I find it...cool

I see its for sale. (Or was? ) Now... would it be a travesty for the new owner to rip the slant 6 out and replace it with a Hellcat powertrain? Because if I wanted to buy a Charger to restomod and/or and pro-tour it, I wouldnt know and be quite hesitant to do it to this car in particular. 1. It looks like a PERFECT candidate for such an endeavor. One owner car. Under 30 000 miles. Body and frame look perfect. No rust etc... 2. BUT... One owner car with an original engine. Sure its a 6 cylinder, and NOT a Hemi or a 440, but Im assuming its a very RARE car these days. And the slant 6 was a legendary powerplant in its own right. I think if it had a 318 under the hood, I wouldnt be asking the same question. Im usually one to NOT focus on such things, but sometimes...I do.

I never got to see him play. He retired before I had a chance. But...I got to see Barry Bonds as a Pirate and a Giant at the Olympic Stadium many many times. I LOVED Barry. Many folk crapped his way. I found him to be entertaining on and off the field.

Many Montrealers feel the same way about that neighborhood. It started getting that way in the mid-1990s. Ill tell you one thing though about Le Plateau IN the 1990s...I dated some really freaky chicks that lived in the neighborhood at the time. When this song came out...I immediately had some flashbacks.

I hope your storm does not end up arriving here in Montreal. It sounds that we might get some of that shyte here too. Ill be listening to the weather guy speak his mind shortly. But then again, its been relatively snow free here so, it might not be a bad thing.
