2021 Buick Envision - where has the news been on this
oldshurst442 replied to regfootball's topic in Buick
Are we discussing the fun quotients of...CUVs? -
There is one glaring criteria though that MOST politicians share: disingenuous, lying sacks of shyte.

I could see that aspect of argument of hub motors affecting suspension. Unsprung weight... Koenigsegg Agera, Ferrari 488 Pista, Ford Mustang GT350, Ford GT, Corvette C8 Z06 (supposedly) and some others, all offer carbon wheels to REDUCE weight at the wheels, but like you said, engineering can have a solution for that... The only thing I could think of, logically speaking without any engineering knowledge, with 4 hub motors at each wheel respectively, at least the unsprung weight is spread EVENLY at all 4 corners while eliminating weight in other areas on the platform without motor mounts, drive shafts etc... If the Endurance does go racing, the competition of endurance and hard driving of racing will teach engineers the deficiencies of hub motors... Improve the tech is what Im getting at. I agree with that sarcasm 100% However... When a politician has OBVIOUS BIASES...he/she should NOT blame the technology that he/she is against when OBVIOUSLY the technology WORKS EVERYWHERE ELSE on the PHOQUING planet...when the PROPER ENGINEERING is applied to that SPECIFIC area of failure... Its LAUGHABLE at best. Its downright DISGUSTING and ABHORRENT at the LACK of phoquing intelligence these ladies and/or gents are displaying at worst. Dont get me started on the voyages to warmer (party atmosphere) climates... Cant get more phoquing tone deaf that that... Hence the Spanish spoken/Mexican party songs and Senor Frogs references earlier...

I never said it was a good looking vehicle. I said its weird looking. From the very start... We actually dont disagree. We BOTH think its ugly. I just LIKE it... I just find a certain charm to it. For whatever inexplicable reason. Hey...I also bought a 2012 Acura TL because I like the TL's style too. I recognize its one ugly motherphoquer... Yes you do. I dont mind that. I know of one dude though that will throw a hissy fit... You dont know how well it will perform. I actually applaud the fact that it could be converted from ICE to EV. Best of BOTH worlds in 2021... And if there is NO issues in converting older ICE versions to EVs in a decade from now...awesome. -

You cant disagree with me liking it. YOU may hate it. But you cant disagree with ME liking it... That is like Ocnblu downvoting my Toyota Hilux and 4Runner pics... You wanna have a discourse with me on why I should NOT like the styling? Who cares how it looks IF it performs the way it should. The Chevrolet Volt (that we actually got) was an UGLY design too. BUT it worked because it had (still has?) the LOWEST air coefficient drag of ANY production vehicle. To help with range efficiency with less friction and drag... Function over form... Its not about winning beauty contests. If we are honest, the Porsche 911 is an ugly car. I know you agree to this. But the 911 is a sports car beast...literally. Its ugly, but it outperforms its competition... by a landslide at times. That has NOTHING to do with its style nor its ability to get the job done. And you cant have any answers to this as you do not know how well it will perform its postal duties... -

You are disagreeing with me liking the Oshkosh's weird styling? I like how it looks. Nothing more, nothing less. I like many weird looking things. I like the A10 Warthog. I like the F4 Phantom II. I like the Nissan Juke Nismo... I never talked about its qualities and qualifications as nobody knows how it will performs. Many programs such as this actually change the exterior stylings somewhat when they actually become real All changes before and during WW2. Between Willys and Ford and Bantam. Tweaks here and there. concept Volt What we actually got We dont know that. You are solely judging it by the wat it looks. And... You got no proof of that... Biden is the Chief in Command now...not Trump... No need to go there... -
Hyundai News:2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Kicks Off A New Sub-Brand
oldshurst442 replied to William Maley's topic in Hyundai
I did not see that initially, but after reading that line, now I cant unsee it. Yes. A mix of Pony and Excel Id say. Id say the Ioniq 5 is an attractive CUV. (High hatchback?) (Or could we just change up the marking spiel and call it a Sports ACTIVITY Vehicle, SAV for short? It could charge all kinds of stuff like EV scooters and CAMPING equipment and high powered electric stuff...you know...outdoor ACTIVITY stuff...) I like the specs on it and the EV stuff it could do. Like the interior AND exterior charging ports to charge all kinds of stuff. Cool feature. While Im not a CUV kinda guy, this thing is attractive enough for me not to diss it...- 36 replies

https://www.theverge.com/2021/2/23/22297823/usps-postal-service-mail-truck-electric-oshkosh-workhorse I personally dont mind its looks. Its looks weird Ill admit. But I kinda like it. The Arrival van looks OK. Better than the Oshkosh. But for whatever reason, I prefer the looks of the Oshkosh. -
I was tired of Its been too cold too long Like a worn out recording Of a favorite song So while lay there frozen I read the paper in bed And in the personal columns There was this letter I read If you like piña coladas And gettin' caught in the rain If you're not into snow If you have half a brain If you like makin' love at midnight In the dunes on the cape Then I'm the love that you've looked for Write to me and escape I didn't think about my constituents I know that sounds kinda mean But me and my old buddy Needed time to escape So I wrote to the paper Took out a personal ad I blamed it totally on my kids I thought it wasn't half bad Yes, I like piña coladas And gettin' caught in the rain I'm not much into telling the truth I am into champagne

Speaking of pop. I think girls did it best in the 1980s. And some Prince influence!

Me too. My partner's Model S is as reliable as any other vehicle out there. No major issues. Lots of bitchin' about fit and finish and all that. Again, with his car, not much different than any other car... even as compared to other vehicles in that price range... Quality of materials may not be up to that price tag's standard's, but he didnt buy a Model S for the quality of materials. But a Tesla is not about prestigious interiors anyway! He didnt buy it for the speed either. He bought it to get off of oil. And to him, the price of admission was well worth it. I laugh, even at @David when people bitch at Tesla's fit and finish. Its mostly much ado about nothing. My wife's 2013 Ford Fusion has Tesla levels of fit and finish...On the exterior as the interior is good on the Fusion. My wife's car before the Fusion, a 2009 Mazda 3, also had Tesla levels of fit and finish. On the inside too. My car before my Acura, a 2005 Impala SS. Well....THAT car had Tesla levels of fit and finish. Interior AND exterior. People bitch about Tesla's paint jobs... All MY cars mentioned, the Mazda 3, The Ford Fusion, the Chevy Impala...they ALL had shyte paint jobs one way or other. The Fusion has orange peel near the license plate area in the back. The hood, which is aluminum I think, well, its starting to peel off at the top of the hood little by little. The Impala had paint starting to peel off at the rear wheel wells. The Mazda had thin thin paint. The Fusion's chromed trim on the C Pillar fell off. BOTH sides. I had to get those replaced 6 months after ownership. There was an eventual recall on that. Or a bulletin report... Ive never seen more cheap interiors than that of the Mazda AND the Impala. The Mazda is an econobox. OK. But for the amounts of times Ive heard bitching and moaning about Cavaliers and Sunbirds...I think it wasnt fair for the J-Body to get that kind of heat when 200 years later, the Mazda 3 was WORSE than the J-Body... The Impala...there is no phoquing excuse for that kind of cheapness. The Impala SS cost me 40 000 Canadian to buy. And I know GM got heat for cheap interiors, no where near the bitchin' that Tesla gets. Tesla is still a new car company. What is FoMoCo's and GM's excuse? Mazda's? Mazda has been around a long time too... @David I aint gonna touch your Escalade. But your Trailblazer SS is fair game. Do NOT tell me that your Trailblazer SS's interior is worth the price that it was sold as new. Because it wasnt! You could defend it, but as vocal as you are about Tesla, I would expect that you are as harsh about your own Trailblazer as you are about Tesla... I say that with love!

I dont know... Ive never seen a Canadian postal worker deliver mail straight out of his vehicle. While its true that in my neighborhood, we got the group box thing going on, but even in the older parts of Montreal, the mail slots are at the dwelling itself. No curbside mailboxes like in the older parts of American suburbia where white picket fences reside that Ive seen... Maybe they do exist in Quebec, and I know they do, but I havent seen postal workers work in these areas...
